Ilya: for Centaurs jersey for family skate, they cannot wear Metro’s stuff
Favorite WAG: 2T, 4T, and YM
Ilya: Thank you will be perfect will make Big Pike cry when Harris posts pictures and video
Favorite WAG: 🤦I’m going to regret this
Ilya: noooooooooooooo will be great promise
Harris loved family skate day, it was easily the best social media content ever. It was either massive hockey players acting like total sweethearts with their young kids or the kidless players acting like kids themselves. Family skate day was usually easy too, set up a few cameras and let them roll. His biggest editing job was supposed to be getting all the footage down to usable clips, but that was the past. This year Ilya confirmed he was attending and that he had acquired four children. In the days leading up to family skate he had been fretting that Ilya was planning on stealing random children.
Troy was worried about Harris as it got closer to family day. He had found him pacing the communications office muttering “Ilya how does one legally acquire children for the day?”
Barrett: What have you done now Roz?
Roz: what do you mean? Have done nothing well except for Shane have done Shane today
Barrett: stop I mean to Harris? He is pacing his office muttering about you acquiring children for family skate, he looks genuinely worried
Roz: do not worry I have parent permission for children
Barrett: phew I’ll tell Harris so he stops pacing
Roz: no is more fun this way big surprise
Barrett: yes I would like my husband calm and relaxed if you fight me I’ll tell him not to bring Chiron to family skate
Roz: 😾no not that Anya needs friend for when we are on ice
Barrett: so I can tell him
Roz: fine but only so that Anya can have a play date with Chiron, I don’t need Harris to be calm
Jane: Why did a tiny Centaur’s jersey with Rozanov get delivered today?
Ilya: Is for littlest Pike for family skate
Jane: of course it is, you can’t ever leave Hayden alone can you
Ilya: is not my fault littlest Pike likes me best of all the hockey players
Jane: I think you bribed her to say that
Ilya: no I am best hockey player and littlest Pike has good taste, only wants the best
Jane: tabling that, did you only get Amber a jersey because that's a bad idea?
Ilya: why table what is table
Jane: tabling something means leaving it alone but seriously did you only buy Amber a jersey?
Ilya: relax moy kotyonok all others arrived yesterday
Jane: are they all Rozanov?
Ilya: no only littlest Pike, middle Pike prefers you, and Twin Pikes wanted Haas jerseys
Ilya decided they needed to be the last to arrive to family skate and so at exactly 3pm they got out of the car. Ruby and Jade ran ahead hoping to catch sight of Luca, Ilya placed Amber on his shoulders and walked excitedly into the rink, and Arthur hung back holding on to Shane’s hand while Jackie followed taking pictures covertly.
Harris was placing the last camera next to the boards when he heard the unmistakable laughter of Ilya ringing down the hallway and his concern was back. Troy had reassured him that Ilya had parental permission to bring the kids to Family skate but still the laughter was a bit too menacing for Harris to completely let his guard down. As Ilya and Shane appeared with four blonde children Harris’s heart rate spiked slightly until he saw Jackie Pike walk down the tunnel as well but then he really looked at what said children were wearing and his heart rate spiked just a little further. The four children of Montreal’s AC all wearing Centaur’s jerseys getting ready to skate for family day.
“Relax Harris” Shane said softly “Ilya is teasing, Jackie knows and thinks its hilarious and Hayden will eventually”
“I’m not worried about Hayden, I’m worried about the rest of Montreal”
“Don’t, they need to get sticks out of asses” shouted Ilya as he skated past
Harris just stood next to his camera with his face in his hands grimacing slightly.
