The great music arguement - Twin Vs. Twin.

Summary:

Makoto and Kotone argue over which soundtrack is better.

Notes:

(See the end of the work for notes.)

Work Text:

“Makoto Arisato!” Kotone yells, storming up to her twin brother. She points at him accusingly, and says “You were the one who unplugged my Mp3 player, wern’t you!”

Makoto, who was just sitting on the couch with Yukari flipping through his messages, barely looked up at her when he said, “Not me.”

Kotone pouted. “It was you last time… Stop stealing my charger!”

Makoto looked up at his twin sister. “Maybe if you didn’t break my last one, I wouldn’t have too.”

Yukari, who was sitting right next to Makoto decided to speak up. “Kotone, just buy a new one. You have enough money from Tartarus don’t you…?”

Kotone glared at Yukari. “It’s about the principal, Yukari! If I let him get away with this, he’ll steal things from me till the day I die!”

“You have a point… but you’re also making too big of a fuss about it…” Yukari sighed. Kotone shrugged. “Makoto’s probably just jelous I have better music taste, anyways.”

Only then did Makoto look up from his phone. “We both know you’re lying.” Makoto spoke.

Yukari, who despite thinking this whole arguement is dumb, ended up taking Makoto’s side. “No offence Kotone, but Makoto’s right. Your playlist doesn’t have Color Your Night on it, does it…?”

“Yukari, we both know you’re biased. Just because your dating Makoto doesn’t mean your music taste has to corrolate with his!” Kotone accused. Yukari stumbled, trying to explain herself and Makoto was slightly flushed.

Kotone smiled, thinking that two could play at this game.

“Ohh Shinjiro~!” She called, in a sing-songy voice. A few moments later, Shinjiro came slouching down the stairs.

“Something you need…?” Shinjiro asked.

“Shinjiro, tell Yukari and Makoto that Time is infidently better than Color Your Night!” Kotone asked– No, more like demanded.

“This is stupid as hell, why would I…”

Just then, Kotone grabbed Shinjiro’s hand, and her eyes spoke the words “Please Shinjiro, I need this!”

“...Well, Kotone does have a point.” Shinjiro nervously blushed, avoiding eye contact.

“Wha– That’s so unfair!” Yukari exclaimed. “I bet Fuuka will agree with us, right Makoto?!”

Makoto nodded, in a kind of uncaring way. He was mostly thinking about how Yukari was so eager, and how it made him feel kind of… happy? Makoto liked seeing Yukari passionate about things.

“Hey, Fuuka!” Yukari yelled.

Fuuka ended up siding with Makoto.

Then eventually Ken sided with Kotone…

Eventually even Mitsuru joined in.

“What’s going on down here…? There’s been so much yelling going on.” Mitsuru spoke.

“They’re having an arguement about which playlist is better.” Said Akihiko, who had just gotten back from his jog.

‘“Hm… If I may, could you show me one song from each of your playlists? I’d like to evaluate which song is better rather than choose based on bias.” She said, glaring at Shinjiro, who just looked to the ground.

Makoto pressed a few times on his Mp3 player, and played his song.

“Suns up, another day goes by, look how fast time flies…”

“Hey wait, this is so unfair! You stole my Mp3 charger so now I can’t play anything for Kirijo!” Kotone squaked.

And so, one by one, each of the SEE’s members joined in.

Team Kotone consisted of: Shinjiro, Ken, Junpei, Koromaru(?)

And Team Makoto had: Yukari, Fuuka, Mitsuru, Akihiko.

There was only one person left to end this arguement.
Or rather, one robot left.

Aigis was called down, and was explained the situation.

“...You are both wrong.”

“Aigis, dude, what?” Junpei asked.

Koromaru barked.

“Koromaru, I am alright. Thank you for asking.” Aigis spoke. “However, I believe that neither of our Leaders are right.”

“Aigis, what are you talking about?” Ken asked. “Who’s… Right then?”

“I am.” Aigis responded.

“I believe that my playlist is far superior. It includes many different songs. I think Disconnected… “solos” your favorites, as they say.” Aigis elaborated.

“...You know what? This arguement is really stupid. Kotone, let me just buy you a new charger.” Yukari said.

“...Actually…Yeah I’ll take that offer. Thanks Yukari.”

And with that, the great music arguement of 2009 had come to a close, the winner being nobody.

(just between you and me, the Persona 4 soundtrack solos anyday…)
