Work Text:
Liam, My dearest best friend. I wish you were still here with me. I wish you never died. It’s all my fault. I couldn’t save you in time, and now you’re gone. The memories of that day always haunts me now. I miss you so much Liam.
I still remember when we first met, when we first saw each other, when I saw you standing beside me, I remember the way you used to smile. When we first held hands together. We would always hang out together and we’d always make each other smile whenever we do.
I remember when you said you hated coffee, yet you’d drink it anyway because of how “delicious” it was. I’d always laugh at that because of how “dumb” that sounded.
I remember when we would always pick flowers together, and we would pick our favorite flowers to surprise each other, and we would make flower crowns together. We would laugh happily together. And I..or we wished we could be happy together..maybe forever. But that unfortunately didn’t come true.
When I suddenly got grabbed, I was helpless. You looked at me in shock as I got grabbed. I was forced to watch you get stabbed, as red blood soaked through your clothing as it dripped down your torso. Your eyes..God, Your eyes were filled with pain and fear, a tear running down your cheek. then I watched as you got brutally ripped apart, in front of my own eyes. Blood gushing out of you, as that monster ripped you apart. The image of your body ripped apart like a ragdoll always haunts me. The sound of your last breath. I could smell the metallic scent of your blood, feeling the warmth of it on my skin. Tears then ran down my eyes, I cried, I sobbed as I looked at your gruesome dead body. It always repeats in my mind. I still hate this feeling.
I can’t escape this pain, I wish I could turn back time and go back to that moment to do something, ANYTHING to save you, but it’s too late now. You’re gone..and i’m left with the crushing guilt that hurts me.
I still have your hat with me, I kept it after you died.
I still remember your favorite flowers, Lavender and Cherry blossom. I always pick them along with daisies for you.
I don’t want to forget your face, your voice, the time we first met.
I just wish this never had happened to us.
I’ll never forgive myself for not being able to save you, Liam.
I’m so sorry.
