When Bee was hit with the blades of time, everything was upside down. Sure, they may have made up after the fight, but it still wasn't right. Being back on Earth when Bee didn’t even know anything about it felt wrong in a way that Breakdown couldn’t describe.
Bee was the one that got him to like certain things about Earth, showed him his way around, let him stay at their home.
But now it was reversed. Breakdown telling Bee about Earth. Telling Bee the things he liked, showing him his way around, showing him the Malto household. It felt wrong. But it felt right in a way when he brought Bee back to his home.
They were cleaning up around the barn when Breakdown asked Bee a question.
“Do you know what day it is?”
“I believe it's a…’Friday’ as the humans call it.”
Breakdown chuckled.
“Well, that too. But I mean the significance of this day. Why is this day special?”
Bee then stood up straight and turned to look at him. He looked sad.
“Is it…something I'm supposed to remember…?”
“No no…I just…I just wanted to see if you remembered. It's okay though.”
Breakdown went back to cleaning.
Bee didn’t though, he walked over to Breakdown, taking his attention away from cleaning.
“I know what happened on Cybertron…took away a lot of my memories. But if there's anything I want most, it's to remember. I want to remember. Please tell me the significance. I know it must mean something special to you.”
He looked at Bee silently for just a moment, thinking. Then he spoke softly.
“It's our Conjunx anniversary today.”
Bee's optics widened greatly and his face turned pink.
“W-we're Conjunxes?”
“Yeah. I know you don't remember it though. So don't feel bad. It probably sounds weird-”
“You mean I got to live out my dream?”
Bee asked, almost excitedly.
“What-”
Before Breakdown could finish his sentence, Bee basically jumped at the chance to kiss him. Arms went around Breakdown's neck as Bee held onto him.
When Bee pulled away, they were both equally pink in the face.
“W-wow, I…”
Breakdown didn’t know what to say.
He didn’t even think Bee remembered their relationship at all. But finding out that Bee loved him so much and wanted to be Conjunxes with him even before they got together…filled him with pure happiness.
“Do you know how happy I am right now?”
Bee asked.
“If you're as happy as I am, then I do.”
Breakdown smiled.
And once more, they shared another kiss.
