Work Text:

“ah..— Is.. is he gone?” Paimon mumbles to the Traveler, who was looking at the ground, still holding their sword. ”I.. Yea. He's gone.” they mumble back.
The Doctor, was no other regular person. He was one of the high-ranked Fatui Harbingers, not only that, but he was incredibly smart in his own ways, and no one could deny it. Succeeding in making Dottore lose almost half of his power was no regular challenge.. The Knights of Favonius who were accompanying Varka began to perform necessary aid after the fight.
The Doctor will not go easy on them, he still owns a lot of tricks up his sleeve, and this was definitely not the end.

“Horrendous! Absolutely Horrendous!” Alice of the Hexenzirkel sighed. “Of Course The Fatui, let alone Dottore himself would cause trouble and delay Kliener's holiday!” Alice irritatedly said. Her Husband, Kliener, was supposed to return to Teyvat to spend a short holiday with his family. It wouldn't be a good sight to see trouble once you've finally been able to take a break..

“Calm down,” Suzki put a reassuring hand on Alice's shoulder, as she continued to stare at the knights working. “This is just the beginning. Fate will teach him the hard way.”
Suzki has been a guard at the Teyvat borders for almost 300 years, always witnessing what is happening beyond Teyvat's star-kissed skies. The young flower from Nod-Krai was very optimistic when it came to her work, but that didn't mean she didn't miss the people she grew up with, whom she considered her own family.

Whilst walking between people, the pure white-haired flower's attention was drawn to her very old friend, whom she even considered more than that. She smiled as she watched him approach her slowly.
“Why, apologies, my lady, I haven't had a chance to greet you whilst in duty against The Doctor.” Flins said as he took her hand and placed a soft kiss.
“I missed you a lot, old pal,” Suzki chuckled, “Your combat skills are getting better as time passes..” she excitedly stated. They had a little chit-chat, others a bit surprised at how carefree they are after an arduous fight, but, what would they expect from two lovers separated by the skies?
“aren't you worn out?” Suzki said worriedly, staring at her fiancé. Flins just brushed her concern off, she was busy enough, and worrying her about him wasn't the option he was aiming for.

“So, tell me, flower, are you excited about our beautiful wedding approaching, soon?” Flins optimistically said.
“Nope. Not at all.” Suzki chuckled as she teased him, and he elbowed her back. “I definitely am. Though I am busy with training the children about the border's dangers. I am certainly not wishing that something happens to Teyvat while I am away. It's been occupying my mind a lot, and I think that's making me neglect myself. However, recently, a lot of attackers from the nearby planet have been filling the borders, and that's what's making me incredibly paranoid,” Suzki sighed as she explained “though I do suppose I should really put more attention into our wedding. Alice already said she'd take care of everything, but still, worry fills my heart.” she sighed again.
“you're not supposed to pressure yourself like that, my lady. It's deeply important for a warrior like you to make the most out of their life, too. Plus, knowing you've been protecting Teyvat for almost 2 centuries, I am very sure you deserve time to yourself, not just us, but yourself,” Flins said as he held both of Suzki's hands, intertwining them with his own. “You're too kind-hearted, Suzki. But I don't want you to end up harming yourself from pressure”.
A sweet smile appeared on Suzki's face, “Thank you, Flins.” She said as her cheeks became rosy-colored. She doesn't get to hear these words everyday, and she still wouldn't. Danger was surrounding Teyvat from each angle, and it wasn't going to be easy to just leave her noble duty aside.

The sky's stars began to show their magnificent shine, as if reassuring each brave individual after that hard day. Without any spoken words, each of them said their goodbyes and parted ways.
“The wedding.. myself..” Suzki thought to herself as she pressed her hand onto her chest. Lying down on the bed covered with white-silk, she breathed all her worries out. “He's right. My own self's feelings would eventually affect my work..” She mumbled quietly, as she closed her eyes, drifting off into slumber.

It's better to rest rather than fill minds with worry, even if you were expected to because of your position. Maybe, just this night.

Notes:

I don't know how I managed to write while spiraling but, alright..
It's not good due to the ridiculous lore, inaccurate character behavior, and because it's also a draft so it has tons of grammatic errors.. sorry :<
