Work Text:

The world wasn't in good shape. It’s 2020, the pandemic is hitting the population harder than ever. The political spheres were a mess. Everyone was accusing each other of trying to sabotage them. They all saw the bad in each other, people dying, getting sick with less and less chance of surviving. The fear inside the masses became larger and larger, with war almost breaking out. This amount of pure negative energy, never seen in such a high quantity, was enough to summon something from the depths of the abysses. From them emerged deformed creatures, hideous and dangerous. Their attacks were fast and merciless. The news spread worldwide about attacks of unknown origin. At first, the political sphere thought it was their neighbors or someone else invading them, but soon everyone realized that whatever was attacking them wasn't human.

Coastal cities, island nations, those were the main targets. Naval ships were sunk, the armies installations near the seas were razed to the ground. The American, European, Asian, African, and Oceanian territories were all attacked. No one was left unscathed by them. News flashes soon told the population that ordinary weapons were not effective. In fear of dying that night, many countries sent nuclear weapons at sea, trying to erase whatever was lurking beneath it. No sign of effectiveness was heard of.

Amidst the night and dark spirits lurking around, lights began to shine, humans with hearts pure enough wanting to fight and protect were given the Gift. They summoned historical battleships in human form, capable of firepower strong enough to push back the abyssal creatures. Those lights shone everywhere, in every city, town or small village where someone had pure intentions. Soon enough, the battle was over, the cities and countries protected by those individuals.

One of them who would later become a pivotal force in many battles, Jack, summoned those battleship humans that night. Six of them responded to his call when he witnessed the ships at the Seattle Ferry Terminal being destroyed when there were still people inside. The water began to illuminate when his fear of them dying with the ship being sunk arose. He didn't know what was happening, but before him, six women appeared from the sea, looking up at him as if he was in command. There was no option of waiting around. If this was a dream, it felt too real to be one. With a steady voice, he commanded them to save the innocent lives at stake.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dark, cold and eternal seemed to be the place I was in. I stopped counting the time I spent here with how much it felt slow and torturous. I had no memories of who I was nor what I was doing before ending up here. I strangely had basic knowledge about naval war, which seemed strange considering I couldn't remember who I was. Maybe a high ranking officer? I had no idea. This space was so thick that all my senses became numb a long time ago. I couldn't even move my body to find an escape. There were always these noises in the back of my head, like prayers and desires. Were those words mine? I couldn't hear the voices, but I could feel them. It was a strange sensation that I eventually came to be used to. Sometimes they were more intense, other times they were more quiet, giving me a bit of peace.

That noise never was as loud as now. I could feel the desire to protect and save innocent lives. I could hear the prayer, not only feel it. As if the darkness around me was fading, I opened my eyes and could see it, a boat being hit and sunk by the enemies. It wasn't even armed, but they still attacked it. A rage took control of me as I bounced forward and the darkness suddenly faded. All around me was a world unknown to me. Skyscrapers going so high in the sky it was dizzying. My gaze then settled on a man looking at me… no, us. Looking around me, I could see 5 other women floating on the water with what seemed like turrets and armor floating around them. The man then gave us a simple order, to retrieve the innocents sinking with the boat.

It wasn't hard or anything. We just floated with abnormal speed toward the sinking boat, and retrieved the civilians one by one. The operation was nothing out of the ordinary, it felt more like a first hurdle toward something more important. A shell suddenly passed us and exploded under the man. I turned around in a panic, seeing the black floating whale who had a cannon in its mouth. It got into the water and I could feel it lurking around. There was an emergency and it was to make sure the man was unscathed. Turning back toward him, I saw him standing on the edge of the docks where he had been propelled to by the explosion.

“BEHIND YOU!” He shouted loudly, making me turn around immediately to see the whale bouncing out of the water to try and eat me. This time, the cannon was replaced with a jaw filled with sharp teeth. I dashed to the side as it crashed in the water where I was just standing a few seconds ago. The terror of being eaten was nothing to my desires to kill the beast terrifying the civilians. I moved around, sensing it was about to resurface when I felt another one far away, rapidly making the distance separating us. One of the other women shot at it with its cannons. Putting a hand on them, I felt them eager to shoot. When the main whale resurfaced with a cannon in its mouth, I fired at it. My 6 cannons unload their shells on it, piercing its body fatally. I dashed to the side again and it fell ridiculously in the water, dead. Its body soon dissolved into powder, scattered in the sea.

When I turned to check on the other whale, the 5 other women had already taken care of it. I then turn toward the man and float towards him. He was still standing, with a huge red line across his face where he probably landed after the explosion. When I got by his side, I could feel the pure and heart warming warmth he was radiating. The closer I got, and the more my memories got back to me. My name was Takao. I was a heavy cruiser during the second World War. I died during that war, yet here I was with the appearance of a woman. He could barely stand with all the blood he had lost. Still, he had a smile stuck to his face as if he was proud of me. My heart skipped a beat as his hand landed on my head and he gave me… a headpat? It felt genuine. I leaned forward before he crumbled in my arms. He needed medical help, and fast. The civilians had already called the ambulances and emergency help. The attack was over for now, but it felt like it was the beginning of a long war to come.

And it was long. For the next ten years battles raged night and day, the numbers from the Abyssals never seeming to dwindle when the human resources were all getting eaten up by the Special Shipgirls Force led by Jack. Any human having the Gift that let them summon the spirit of battleships were asked to help in the fight against the Abyssals. Jack soon came to a leading position in the war, leading strategic defense battles and surprise attacks against the enemies. Helped by the six shipgirls he had summoned that night, he surprised everyone with how effective his team was. He would come out as the victor against any enemies, be it the common whale that seemed to be the infantry, to the more major, more dangerous creatures at sea.

10 years of fighting with him made me learn how much respect I have for him. He appointed me as the leader of the squad, making sure every shipgirl he was working with was competent and confident enough in the chance of victory. The longer the war became, the less frequent were the attacks of the abyssals. The common enemies soon felt weakened. News flashes around the world telling every successful operation was responsible for this. The negative energy in the humans became less and less intense with nations now working together to solve the pandemic and the war. The start had been rough, but after a few years with the discovery of a vaccine, the shipgirls frequent interventions and the positive news about world leaders working together to put a stop to the war, was enough to make the negative energy into a positive one.

With less energy to feed on, the Abyssals were weakened to the point where a strike team with Jack at the head was formed to take down the remaining Abyssals leaders. It wasn't even hard, as each one of them barely gave us a fight. News about the entire annihilation of the Abyssals invaders spread worldwide and with peace around the corner, the need for the shipgirls disappeared. Those with the Gift gave them peace again, returning them to the spirit realm, while some like me, wanted to stay, to help humanity prosper with peace. There was a slight problem to it, there were now no wars. The weapons humans were building were in case the Abyssals weren't entirely wiped out. That's where I settled myself. A simple administrative job where I helped localise Abyssals. With a few other shipgirls with the ability to detect clusters of negative energy, we hunted them down. Everything was fine, except for one thing. Jack wasn't with me anymore. Having no need for him anymore, he returned to a normal life where he could live peacefully after all the fighting he had lived through.

My head was filled with reminiscent memories of us fighting and living together in those barracks made for our squad. The moments we shared, the experiences he gave me, everything felt dry without him around. Those ten years of war were great because he was around, leading us and giving us the feeling we could win. Without him around, it felt more like a day to day administrative job with some easy fights once a few months. I soon retired from my position, asking for an extended leave. They had no choice, but to let me go since I was doing nothing around the base but monitoring a few machines that could have been monitored by a simple human.

The link we established the night he summoned me helped me trace him back. Not that it mattered with all the intelligence surveillance we had in place. I already knew all this time where he was. He stayed where his parents used to live, St-Louis. They had died during the war, not from an attack, but from old age and sickness. He got their house back and made it a cozy little home for him and his future family. I knew he had no plans to fully settle down, but with the huge funds and the time he had on his hands, he decided to clean the house a bit, and to renovate it. I knew all that with my personal monitoring of his actions. Would that count as a stalker? Probably, but to lighten it all I told myself it was to keep contact if I wanted to meet him again.

And here I was. Standing in front of his house in a cozy neighborhood. I had on the typical blue dress, thigh-highs held by a garter-belt and the little hat I always had on when we were at the base. I stand there, just waiting a bit and getting the courage to get in his life again. To my surprise, he opened the door and walked to me and greeted me with an american salute before bursting into laughter.

“How is it going, Takao? You got tired of the military?”

“Not really tired of the military, more like it lacks a certain admiral by my side. I am good though, I'm not feeling sick or weird and can still take on hordes of Abyssals!” I let out a genuine smile before coughing to take the lead. “I gave my resignation letter to the military, I am now jobless, with a long life ahead of me.”

“I guess that the absence of fighting makes you eat way less than when we were battling them. Are you still on that diet you were on before I quit? You know you can eat ten times more than a normal human and not even gain weight. You do realize how much the human women envy you?” He then let out a laugh, probably thinking about that time i thought i would become fat and stop eating like a shipgirl and started eating like a normal human. I could feel the heat spread in my cheeks in embarrassment.

“Im not on any diet anymore. I had come to the exact conclusion you just said. I could eat as much as i want and still lose weight after a fight.” I took a short pause when some birds started chirping around us as they were going from a tree to another on the other side of the road. We stared at them for a few seconds before I broke the silence. “Can I come in? I have a few things to talk about, but I mainly want to know how you’ve been doing.”

He agreed and we got inside his home. The fresh summer air flew through the open windows. I heard a thud and saw his cat get out of his room and stare at me. It was really cute, it was kind of a pale orange, almost the color of the skin. It began purring as it saw me and got closer to rub his face against my legs. “AWWWWW, that's a cute little kitty~” I said with a small voice as I rubbed his chin. His purring became more and more intense.

“Glad you like him, he became my buddy ever since I got back. He never was the one to come out and immediately like someone else. I guess he recognises how pure hearted you are and decides to trust you. That's really good, he had no company except for me. I was actually thinking of getting a second cat, that may help him get more stimulation.” The cat then prepared to jump and got onto the table, laying on his side and back so I could caress his belly.

“Doesnt humans dislike having animals on their tables?”

“My parents didn't like that, but since I live alone, he can do whatever he wants, unless I'm making food, then it's down he goes. Isn't that right Casper~” He began rubbing his chin, while I was rubbing his belly. That cat was living his best life right now, and I kind of envied him on the spot. My entire life and second chance as a shipgirl had only been with one purpose : fighting. I had never seen anything else before, and everything different that I had seen had been shown by him, my admiral. My eyes locked on his face, on that scar he got that day when he summoned me. He never tried to hide it or erase it. Henalways held his head high, never showing signs of shame. It was something admirable.

“That reminds me, what happened to that cat we sheltered back at the base 7 years ago? Someone said they would take care of it, and we never got any news.”

“Oh, the man that took care of it got it back to a town and gave it to a lovely family. I personally think it was his family, but there were no records or anything else that showed it.” I nodded to his answer, feeling appeased by the fact that the frail animal had made it back to civilization alive with a family that took care of it.

“I won't lie Jack, I miss the days we were together during the downtimes. You always helped me understand more about this new world and especially how to use a computer! You don't know how much knowing how they work has saved me!” I let out a low laugh, feeling a bit shy admitting that I missed him so bluntly.

“I won't lie too, I missed those times too. I don't know, I never had any real meaning in my life before getting the Gift. All those girls I summoned and how I helped us get the victory in the end. In those stories, the guy gets back home, is called a hero, gets the girl of his dreams, and lives happily ever after. But I wont lie, when i came back, no one was there to greet me. My friends had forgotten I existed, and it didn't help that I was so focused on the military for the last ten years. I completely got out of touch with everyone. My face and body has changed so much with all the military training and battles that not even my sister recognizes me. Truly, the time I spent with you all was the best time of my life, and now I'm rotting away here.” Tears welled up in his eyes the more he spoke. All the pent up desires and frustrations were surfacing again, but this time it felt as if he was calling for help. “I'm sorry to put all of this on you Takao, you weren't here to see me cry like a baby…”

I immediately took him in my arms. All of these feelings he had were unknown to me. I knew how frustrating it was to not be recognised when he saved the world. After the final battle I was only playing the role of a secretary. I let him cry on my shoulder, hugging him tightly. I felt hurt by it, I felt it deeply in me. He never let out any distress call like that before. He always was the strong and capable leader we all followed. Not once did he show signs of weaknesses.

“Dont be sorry Jack, it's alright. We all expected a lot from you and rarely show our gratitude for it. You were extraordinary, beyond anything we could have asked for. You can cry all you want, let it all out.” I gave his back light taps as you continued crying. Uncontrolled sobs made his body tremble and shake. It wasn't how I expected our first meeting to go, but I guessed that being alone and reminiscing about the past and the gratitude he never had got to him on another level. “I heard your call Jack, I'll be here.”

I tried being the anchor to him this time. His sobs eventually cleared out by themselves. He still continued to hug me, and this time it felt more personal. Not a general cry for help, but more of a need for me. The silence was occasionally broken by some birds chirping in the distance and the wind blowing through the windows.

“Takao, I don't know what I would have become without you… I love you, I truly do, but I don't know how to express it to you of all things. How do I know what's right for a shipgirl? How do I know I'm not overstepping any-” I put a finger on his lips before he spiraled down more and more.

“Jack, I got the psyche and the body of a human. Yes some shipgirls can be weird, but our basis is still that of a human. You can flirt with us and we will still feel desired~ Those words you said, ‘i love you’, they mean so much to me. It's not something simple to say, they hold so many emotions, and yet you said them first. And let me tell you that the dread i had about you not liking me back was horrendous.” He stared at me for a few seconds, unsure of what to say or proceed.

“Wait… not liking you back… does that mean?” He said hesitantly as if saying anything more will spoil the reality. I looked him in the eyes and nodded.

“Yes Jack, I also have feelings for you. And as you said, it's extremely hard to admit them. I'm really happy you said it first!” I let out a nervous laugh as he began shaking as if it was a dream. “It's real Jack, I love you too. Guess you did have the girl of your dreams after coming back, you just had to wait a few months for her to get back!”

“So all this time… since when…?” He looked dumbfounded, as if I just cut the grass out from under his feet.

“Well, let's say since the day we met. I always had a thing for you, but it was never as strong as these past few months. Probably because we weren't together.”

“Yeah, I had the same thing happening on my side. When I got back, my longing for you became so intense and I had no way of joining you, that I stopped trying.”

“Thats totally understandable. Now how about we order some food, I'm getting hungry.”

“Ahah, you are always hungry!” Seeing him laugh again like he used to made my heart melt. I never felt like this before. I wanted so much for him to be happy, that it almost overwrote my entire train of thoughts. He took my hand and put on his jacket. “Are you sure you want to go order something dressed in your military outfit?”

“I meant ordering online or with your phone, silly.” I told him back, bumping his shoulder with my fist. “Besides, I have nothing else to put on. I might need to get some new clothes.”

“Oh! How about we go shopping for something more casual for you to wear before going to eat in town?”

“That would be great, Jack! I would love a cute sundress with how good the temperature is today!”

“Then that's a plan!” He finished putting on his jacket and opened the door to get outside. Getting in his car, he tried starting it and it successfully launched. Even if the car was getting a bit old, because he inherited it from his parents, it could still start without a problem. The ride to the local clothing stores was quick and without any traffic trouble. We weren't in rush hour afterall. Once we arrived there, he parked behind the stores, and he got in front to lead me towards the entrance. As the door opened, the sound of the bell rang across the small business. There were dresses, shirts, skirts, camisoles and accessories for the summer. I immediately started looking around, seeing how some clothes would fit me more or less depending on the size and colors. He just stood there, watching me go around, picking up a crop top and blushing heavily at the thought of wearing it.

I looked a bit more and found a section with only swimsuits. There were some one pieces, but most of them were the usual 2 pieces. I picked out a blue one, putting it silently in the caddie we had with us. I then walked to the dresses, taking one with a light material that was white. I also put it in the caddie, quickly followed by some other shirts, pants, long and short skirts. I then moved to the essential underwear, taking the basic, and not so fancy models. I then got to try them on. I started with the underwear which was really comfortable. I then moved to the shirts and pants I took, getting out of the booth to ask him each time what you thought about it. He always barely thought about it, always saying that I was looking good in each of them. I quickly passed through the sets I had selected. I then switched to the short skirt and crop top I ended up selecting in the end. When I got out, I could see his posture change. This slight tremor going through his body made me feel like he was liking it in a certain way. I let out a shy smile, not used to showing off like this. My shoulders, and midriff were exposed and the top of my breast was exposed to his sight. I spin around slowly, the skirt rising just enough to let him see the bottom of my ass. Red began creeping in his cheeks.

“You’re so sexy.” He said while steading his voice. I knew I was scoring a home run with this outfit. I then spin around one last time, going into the booth to change back into my military outfit. We then got to the register where he just paid for all of my clothes. He had so much money from the 10 years passed on fighting a war, that he could do this casually. I read the number on the display and saw it was in the 4 digits. I blush heavily, knowing that for a normal human, this was a lot of money and I was casually taking it away from you. I realised how selfish this was. He then took the clothes and got out of the store. He really didn't care about the price and only about how I looked and liked the clothes. I knew that if i had chosen something i didnt like to wear, he would have taken it out of the order.

We got back to the car and then I realised that I could just change in their booth. “Wait, im gonna ask them if i can change into their booth real quick!” I told him as he was getting in the car. I ran back into the store, snatching a set from the bags in the car. Once inside, I got to the lady responsible for the booths, and asked her if I could change quickly inside them. She agreed, amused by my shyness. I didn't know the human world well, so I knew these situations would happen a lot, especially since when I was in the military i didnt have to go out of my way to get things I needed. I changed into a crop top and a longer skirt than the one I tried with. My garter belt was clearly visible with the thigh highs I was currently wearing. I then got out, my military clothes in my hands, waving to the lady. When I got out, I saw him parked in front of the store, waiting for me. When his eyes met me, I could feel him forcing himself to not let his eyes go to every lewd place on my body. I smiled, the effect I had on him pleased me quite a lot.

“What do you want to eat?” He asked, looking in front of him to not let his eyes wander on me. I giggled.

“Whatever you want! Surprise me!” I said back at him, thinking he would be blushing, but he instead fell into a deep thinking and turned his head toward me, looking at my eyes.

“Blueberry Hill? It's pretty good and I barely know someone who doesn't like going there.” I nodded, thinking a bit. The name Blueberry Hill sounds nice.

“Alright, let's go with that one. Then we can go back home to spend the evening together!” I said before realising what it could imply. He smirked at me, giving me a wink and then pushing on the throttle. He did a few minutes of driving before arriving at it. Miraculously, we were on the same side of the city as the restaurant. He parked the car on the side of the road, and got inside the first room. It was decorated with a lot of sea decorations. Going from any fish on display to mini anchors, boats in bottles, and many more. Maybe it was seasonal? They barely served sea food on the menu. We took some chicken wings with a few onion rings, especially for Jack. For the drinks we asked for some water with how hot it was at noon.

Then the wait started and he asked me a question I wasn't ready for at the moment. “How did you fell in love with me? I don't recall you acting weird or ‘in love’.” He said, looking at me with some kind of shy curiosity. I let out a playful smile.

“Only if you tell me how you fell in love first.” He looked down for a moment to place his thoughts together.

“You know, you are really dependable, hard working and someone I could always rely on. That's why I put you in a commanding position soon after we started the fight… my love comes from seeing your qualities.” I let out another laugh, this time trying to make it harmless.

“Thats really cute and somewhat basic. I know where you are coming from. I, for myself, realised when Myoukou told me I was acting weird around you. Something about me being way more direct with the girls on our team. That and the fact I was always up late at night with you trying to plan for attacks and defense. Remember those late night talks where you would just tell me about what the human world was like before the war? You felt somewhat happy that we were now in a time where people were trying to work together to survive. I loved that about you, that passion to see it through to the end. I wanted you to be happy and as Myoukou told me, I was going out of my way when it came to you.” I stopped talking as the waitress got us our chicken wings. I only took a few, not feeling too hungry. I watched him eat them. It felt as if the moment was speeding up. We weren't talking and something in me forced me to try and talk a bit.

“How was it when the war stopped? You disappear soon after we have destroyed the last Abyssal commander.” I asked, my voice a bit low so others around us wouldn't pick up on our conversation.

“After the last battle, the military released me from my obligations. And by release, it wasn't soft. They almost pushed me out of it. I tried making contact with you all, but after hearing that the shipgirls were returning to the spirit realm, I thought you would have gone back too. So I kind of got in a loop of pain and sadness as I basically lost everything. I tried to not feel overwhelming when I saw you standing in front of my house. Because inside I was a swirling mess. You kind of make it less intense. You always had that aura that had the knit to make me feel normal.” When he stopped talking, I put my hand on his. It must have been tough to be thrown out like an old toy. At least they gave him enough money to take it easy for a few years.

“You know Jack, I never thought that I would have the courage to come out here alone. But I'm glad I did. Now that we have said to each other our feelings, I truly hope to make you happy again, like those late night talks we had.”

“But you already make me happy, Takao.” I felt my cheeks burn with sudden embarrassment. I found myself looking away for a short moment, trying to cool down. When my eyes settled back on you, I felt a knot in my belly. I wanted so much right now and with what you just told me, I knew you wanted even more. I found myself leaning in, followed by you. Our faces were inches apart, our breath mingling together. I could smell the chicken wing in our breath. It wasn't disgusting, but it made it more intimate. I knew he ate them with me, and I knew he would do much more with me.

Finally, our lips met. Soft and delicate was the kiss. It was both our first time doing it. I didn't want to break it, but after a moment we both needed to breathe. So, I broke it and looked at your eyes. They were sparkling with passion. I let out a soft smile, feeling a surge of happiness deep in me. The tension was high. Without a word, he pulled out a bill of 50, way too much for what we had, but he didn't care, he wanted out of here. I chuckled as he took my arm with him and we got out of the restaurant. From what I know, you never do this as a typical human, but we were heroes, we could have some fun in the world we saved. We then got out on the streets. The sun was slowly going down, painting the sky in a beautiful stain of reds, orange, yellow and pink. I loved it. I pressed myself against him, feeling even more secure like this. We walked a bit and came across a few street performers that we watched. They were really good and one even accepted to play a love song on the guitar for us when we joined his crowd.

The song was beautiful, nothing like Jack showed me back at the base. He seemed even happier after those encounters, as if it meant something to him. That's when I realised this was a date! Myoukou told me about those. Moments that you spent with your loved one to deepen your bond with them. My body suddenly got rigid as I got stressed. A tiny part of my mind going crazy over the fact that I would ruin the moment. The majority of my mind just shut off and was enjoying the slow movements Jack was doing with his body. I accompany him in them, moving left and right while standing still. Soon, his fingers found mine and interlaced with them. I squeezed his fingers.

The street performer's song eventually came to a halt and when the crowd dispersed, Jack leaned down and put a bill in the man’s hat that was on the ground. The man thanked us and we were now on our way. We walked more on the boulevard. He didn't bother explaining to me that it was a commercial and entertainment district, I soon knew it was as I pieced it out in my mind when I saw the huge movie theater. When we checked the movies, we weren't impressed and immediately passed around it. The night was dawning on us. The light was retreating to the other side of the globe. We turned around and walked slowly to the car still parked in front of the restaurant. All this time we didn't talk, just simply felt. Maybe we were both too scared to ruin the moment and we chose the easy way out. No matter, what really mattered was that once in the car, I felt the urge to kiss him again. One hand on his thigh, I leaned in and stole a quick chaste kiss from him. I brushed against something in his pants, I didn't understand at the moment what it was, but my body seemed to react by itself. I felt weirdly hot. It was both uncomfortable and exciting. I leaned back into my seat and let you drive us back to your place. It was nothing extraordinary, just silence as we let the night news and ads on the radio go off. I tried to sing along to some songs.

And I wasn't very good, but he seemed to enjoy it and joined me in it. It was a funny time as we both messed up the lyrics and just laughed when we weren't able to keep up. I gripped his hand, my fingers lacing into his as I watched and saw the road go by. In a flash, we were back at your place. I didn't know how exactly, but when I got out of the car and felt my legs being unsteady, I knew why.

“I think I'm getting-” A yawn escaped me. “... tired…” I felt embarrassed after the yawn and immediately closed my mouth afterwards.

“It's all good Takao. You probably haven't slept at all since you left the military. I know you, that's something you typically do.” He said, coming to take my hand and lead me inside. “You can take my bed tonight and I'll sleep on the couch.”

I felt weird, as if I was in a fever dream. Not that I had any fever before, but I immediately guessed it was like this. I gripped his hand harder as we got inside. When he got me to his room, I pulled him in with me in the bed. I snuggled around his body, my eyelids feeling heavier by the seconds. “No, you are sleeping with me tonight…” Then, after I let out a drawn out breath, I said in a tiny voice : “Now that we are alone, I can finally do this…” After the words left my mouth, I fell asleep on him. He was right, since i quitted 3 days ago, I never slept until I got to him. The amount of sleep I needed just piled up to this moment. I can't help but think about what we had gone through to get here. All we knew together was war, and I was so excited for this new chapter of our life, in a place where we won't need to fight again.
