Can you train more?

Summary:

Eggchan just wants to train, Wemmbu doesn't want him to train.

Notes:

If I update this, it might get romantic—maybe—and English isn't my language, nor can I really speak it; all the mistakes are Google's fault.

Chapter 1: The no.

Chapter Text

Wemmbu looked at Eggchan, blinking slowly as he processed his friend's words.

"Train more?" Wemmbu repeated with a mocking smile. Eggchan straightened up again, but his gaze had broken eye contact minutes ago. "Yeah, well, I'm not the best at PvP or the best student for this, but—I—I want to—" Eggchan felt the words stick in his throat.

He could feel Wemmbu's gaze burning into him.

"What else? You're already good enough," the purple-haired said to the angel, not giving him time to argue. Eggchan watched as Wemmbu simply moved on to check the ender chest. "You handle the bow, I'll take care of the rest, and if not, we'll run away."

Eggchan looked at Wemmbu, not understanding why he was so reluctant to train him. He wondered if it had something to do with Manepear calling him untrainable, but he couldn't think of a valid reason not to be trained. He just wanted to be able to protect himself and perhaps contribute more in battle beyond using the bow.

The war against Law had made him think that it would be good to train more often and see if he could improve. He didn't understand why the vampire was against it; he couldn't find a reason to refuse.

At the End, under the care of MinuteTech, the guardian didn't really have much time to train him, and it wasn't as if it was a place where people would accept duels.

Even if he got hurt, he is an angel, and his greatest specialty is healing spells.

"Egg! Earth calling Egg!" Wemmbu waved his hands in front of the angel who had remained in the same place doing nothing. "Uh... What's wrong?" he asked, looking at the other.

There was no way Wemmbu would accept so easily without major damage that would make him regret it, but that regret would only come if—he's just overthinking it, in the end, if he doesn't train, he can just continue studying.

"I'm going to see if I can get some fireworks materials. I need more. Maybe MinuteTech knows how to make them without spending too much. I won't be back so quickly," the vampire announced, his black eyes looking at the angel, who nodded.

Wemmbu held out his open palm, Eggchan sighed, pulled up his sleeve, removing the fabric. Barely visible bite marks around his wrist and arm, Wemmbu made a new one.

Wemmbu felt the magic in Eggchan's fresh blood. He is a vampire after all, he needs blood.

Eggchan's request resonated even more strongly in his mind, causing him to bite a little harder, enough to make the wings on Eggchan's head move in surprise. If Eggchan learned to fight, how could he be sure Eggchan wouldn't leave him like the others? In the end, it's the only thing he knows how to do well—and then not even completely. JamatoP's words echoed in his mind. Eggchan would never do such a thing. But he couldn't let Eggchan leave him, leave him alone. What would he do without him? He's not just the one who feeds him blood—celestial blood that is so different from human or animal blood—but he's the one he trusts, his safe place, his best friend, his—.

"Stay in the library, don't go out," he said as he cleaned the angel's wrist. Eggchan nodded slowly, more so than before. Wemmbu began to leave the base. "Say hello to MinuteTech for me!" Eggchan asked. Wemmbu gave a thumbs up and closed the door.

The place fell silent. Eggchan ran his hand over the recent bite mark, which had almost disappeared.

The silence began to consume him, and a small idea began to blossom: train alone or perhaps find someone to train him. The downside to both options was that he needed at least one source, and if that source reached Wemmbu's ears, Wemmbu—

What could Wemmbu do? Kill that person just because they were training him? He shook his head, dismissing the idea. When he stopped feeling dizzy, he went to the library. He was going to study for a while, maybe sleep, or just wait for Wemmbu.
