"Are you seriously asking me to betray me best mate for a weapon?"
Demoman had said these words a week ago. And he did betray the Soldier. The BLU Soldier, the enemy, who he had foolishly befriended.
The Soldier had also been attacking him far more harshly on the battlefield. And so war began, separate from the Gravel War. A war between two ex-friends.
Demoman did feel bad for Solly. But the Eyelander was too good a weapon to refuse.
But reconciliation sounded good.
"MAGGOT!" The Soldier yelled, swinging wildly with his shovel, missing the Demoman every time.
"LAD! Calm yerself! I just wanted a friendly chat!" Demoman ducked before the shovel slammed into his head.
"I WILL NOT BE FRIENDLY WITH YOU, YOU... YOU MAGGOT!" Soldier screeched. "YOU CALLED ME A- A CIVILIAN!"
"Hold on, lad. When did I-" Demo was cut off as he had to duck beneath another hit. "Call ye a civilian?"
"The Administrator showed me!" Soldier yelled. "DO NOT LIE!"
"... What? Lad, I didn't-" He ducked once again, before pinning the Soldier to a wall so he'd stop swinging that shovel. "Solly! I'm nae lying!"
"...what?" Soldier paused. "BUT YOU SAID IT!"
"I didn't, lad! It was faked!"
"..." The BLU, for once, was silent.
