Chapter Text
It was supposed to be a normal day. There weren’t any recent sightings of demons in the area, and if there were, they would be weak demons that the lower ranks could handle.
Obanai and Shinobu were walking on a path in the forest just outside the Butterfly Mansion. It was quiet and calm.
“This is a nice place, don’t you think?” Shinobu questioned, her voice serene like always.
Obanai nodded, looking around at the scenery.
Suddenly, they both blacked out.
They woke up in a different place than they last were. They appeared to be outside of a school, a big school at that.
“Kocho, do you know where we are?” Obanai asked, glancing over at Shinobu.
“No, I do not,” She answered. “But I know that we are not in our time period. This seems too advanced. I think we got taken somewhere in the future, even though it’s impossible.”
“Logically, it could be a Blood Demon Art, but there weren’t any demons around the area. We or the others would have already sensed it if there were,” Obanai stated.
The two observed the surrounding area. It looked to be something straight out of an imaginary land. There were tall buildings with many windows, and improved cars, although the two had rarely ever seen a car where they came from. It was around midday, as the sky was bright, but clouds covered almost every inch of blue that could be seen. They were standing on a road, but it was empty at the moment.
Shinobu turned to look at Obanai. She noticed that he was still wearing his black-and-white striped haori, but he wasn’t wearing the corps uniform that every member was given. She looked at herself, and realized that the same thing had happened. They weren’t wearing their uniforms, but instead were wearing something that seemed weird for them. (It’s literally a plain t-shirt and plain sweat pants for the record i’m not a freak)
”Do you think we should go inside..? To ask someone where we are?” Obanai asked, and Shinobu glanced at him before nodded. It seemed that he was as uneasy as she was.
After entering the building and wandering around a bit, the found someone standing near a wall. The person seemed to be an adult, so the two walked up to them.
”Excuse me, but do you know where we are? Me and my friend got lost and this was the closest building we could find.” Shinobu asked the individual, who looked down at them before answering.
“You’re at U.A. High school. Now tell me, how did you get in here? You need permission to enter the premises.” The person—or rather man—said. The man then went on.
”The entrance exam is next month, so this building shouldn’t even be open anyway.”
”Ah. Well, then, I guess we should get going. Thank you, sir.” Shinobu replied before bowing slightly.
”Wait. What is this “entrance exam” thing?” Obanai inquired, and the man turned to look at him. There was a slight hint of confusion on the man’s face.
“The entrance exam is what you need to pass in order to get into this school, specifically the hero course.” The man explained.
Obanai nodded, and Shinobu grab his wrist and led them both out of the school.
(this seems a little short but whatever)
