Accidental engagement

Summary:

It was a normal day at the Tamakoma branch. Except that all their agents were inside.

"Osamu, we have to get married!!"

It was a normal day, wasn't it?

Notes:

Chapter Text

It was a sunny day, and the Tamakoma members happened to be on break, so they decided to spend time together. Although the branch didn't look particularly well-maintained at first glance, it was still a pleasant place to spend time.

The school hadn't opened yet, and they were on a break, so the junior agents were inside as well.

They had all agreed to have a movie marathon, choosing from horror, suspense, romance, and comedy. Konami was the first to pick some movies, and to no one's surprise, they were comedies.

Kyosuke's tears when he saw the movie covers weren't from laughing so hard; they came out because they were so sad just looking at them.

Izuho wasn't part of that branch, but since they knew her and she was a close friend of Chika's, they invited her anyway. She was practically part of Tamakoma, even though she wasn't.

The older members were tidying up the room so everyone could fit comfortably and no one would feel cramped during the movie.

Meanwhile, the younger ones were in charge of the food, so they decided to make popcorn and bring some drinks.

Hyuse, on the other hand, had escaped to his room to avoid being bothered about socializing with the other agents until Yotaro, along with Raijinmaru, chased after him to try and get him to be more social. Yotaro thought he was shy, but Hyuse just hated them.

When Hyuse went downstairs to the living room, he first encountered Yuuma, who was holding some plates. The smaller boy gave him one of his usual faces and handed the plates to Hyuse before going to find Osamu. He told him to give the plates to Chika so she could put the snacks on them.

Hyuse couldn't find Chika anywhere.

Chika had chosen well in terms of her height, since being so small allowed her to hide easily from her adversaries, Hyuse thought.

He used that as an excuse to leave the plates on a nearby table and go to the room where Jin kept his rice cracker snacks. Not that he liked that type of cracker, quite the opposite.

If those crackers mysteriously disappeared, would Jin be utterly devastated? Just imagining Jin whining and lamenting the "death" of his precious crackers was enough to bring a small, but mocking, smile to Hyuse's face.

As he went upstairs, letting his anti-Medeen thoughts run wild, he heard voices and laughter coming from inside Commander Kido's old room.

The door was open, so Hyuse's hidden gossipy nature began to surface, inviting him to take a peek into the four-eyed boy's room.

It was Osamu and Yuuma.

They didn't usually show affection, and even less so physical affection aside from fist bumps or something like that, but this time Yuuma was hugging Osamu, who responded with a few pats on the back, looking somewhat embarrassed.

Were they usually like this when they were alone?

Hyuse felt the moment was a bit too intimate to bother them, so he decided to leave.

Unfortunately, the horoscope magazine he stole from Konami hadn't predicted bad luck today. Hyuse stepped right on the creaky part of the floor, and of course, Osamu and Yuuma turned to look at him.

Seeing himself in a situation that could be misinterpreted, Osamu quickly but carefully pushed the smaller one away. Yuuma, hurt by the action, earned Hyuse an inevitable look of disdain.

"Ah, Hyuse, do you need something?" Osamu, still looking embarrassed, was the first to speak.

"Hey, Hyuse, what are you doing here?" the little boy asked, slightly annoyed, his arms crossed. "I suppose you've already given Chika her food, right?"

"I couldn't find her."

"Well, find her," Yuuma said, trying to shoo him away with his hands, mimicking the way you shoo a stray dog.

"Calm down, Kuga," the taller boy said, trying to calm his friend from starting a fight. He then turned his back on the other foreigner. "If you want, I can try to help you look for Chika, Hyuse."

Yuuma, who was standing behind Osamu, shook his head and crossed his arms in an "X," signaling Hyuse to say no. Obviously, Hyuse wasn't going to miss the opportunity to annoy his teammate by ignoring him.

This could very well end in a fight between them, where the white-haired boy would likely take his frustration out on him.

"Then hurry up and help me."

"Ah, yes, I'm coming." As he was getting ready to follow Hyuse, he felt someone grab his arm. "Kuga, I'm leaving now. Take this opportunity to find Konami-senpai and help her."

After leaving his friend, Osamu followed Hyuse’s steps, who was now coming down the stairs. When he was two steps behind him, the other started talking.

"What were you two doing together alone?"

"Ah... Kuga was just worried because I hadn't come down for a while." It was somewhat noticeable that the older man's question took the other by surprise, since he never asked about anyone on the team in general.

"I see."

Hyuse quickened his pace so he could find Chika quickly, leave Osamu, and immediately go to his room to socially isolate himself again.

He certainly hadn't expected the little girl they were looking for to suddenly appear out of nowhere, blocking his path at the bottom of the stairs with a large box, obstructing his view. To avoid bumping into her and having the box fall on him, Hyuse stopped completely. Then a voice behind him made him turn around.

"Watch out, Hyuse!"

The moment he turned to see who was calling him, he saw a head of black hair crash into him, causing them both to fall to the hard floor.

"I'm sorry, Hyuse, are you okay?"

Apparently, as the neighbor increased his speed going down, the other couldn't help but try to keep up so as not to fall behind. Of course, he never expected the other to stop so abruptly.

They were both on the ground.

The only difference was that, since he had just turned around, he was looking up. Into the eyes of the boy with the jet-black streaks.

Osamu, on the other hand, fell on top of him, but luckily, he had managed not to fall completely by placing his hands on either side of the taller boy. It looked something like he was doing a push-up. A bad one.

Perhaps, since the boy wasn't good at physical activities, it was difficult for him to maintain that kind of position.

Their faces were so close... Hyuse was very relieved that they hadn't touched.

"Yes, I'm..." Before he could finish speaking, a small voice interrupted him.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" The little girl's hands beside him were trembling. "Did someone fall—?"Oh, God, the box also took away her hearing?

As soon as she finished speaking, her hands could no longer hold the box, causing it to fall immediately, making Chika scream and jump back.

And the box ended up falling on Osamu's back.

The weight of the box on his back made the bespectacled boy lose his composure, and his face slammed into Hyuse's.

And so, Hyuse's fear became a reality.

Faces together, lips to lips.

No matter how you looked at it, it was a kiss!!!

In Hyuse's homeland, this was like—

"I'm so sorry, Osamu! If only I hadn't been so stubborn and held the box myself—"

"Osamu, we have to get married!!" the foreigner said, lifting the boy onto his shoulders so they were face to face.

"Huh?!"

Osamu and Chika had the same reaction at the same time.
