Work Text:
Barns Courtney is the type of musician I when I see a new song dropped I start playing it and say to myself I can't possibly love this as much as his last banger.... goddamit he did it again.
He has that rough balladeer storyteller, rockabilly dry verve and a touch of showman glam rocker.
So when I got paired to create for the song 'Supernatural' I was thrilled.
________
Crowley had always been a bit of a troublemaker, even as far back as his early school days. He was fast, he was tall, and that red hair seemed to be a warning sign. Dropping out of school and becoming something of a notorious figure riding motorbikes, tattoos, clothes like some sort of punk you'd see on tv, and performing his own loud rock n roll at late night venues that good kids shouldn't be at wasn't winning him over with the adults around town. But maybe they missed the other side of young man that still hung around school to hang with the other outcasts like those weird girls Maggie and Nina who always seemed to be together. Or bullied bookish nerd Ezra who used to be his prime target to pester when they were little. Now all that seems flipped like a domino as he rather likes having him around to talk with. Ezra's peers are worried about him being so unlike himself wanting to hang with a hooligan. He'll fall into those supernatural devil worshipping ways that rock and roll heathen must have, or at least his grades will drop. And to make matters worse, Ezra's little cousin Warlock seems to be under the spell of Crowley and is taking up his fashion senses and begging for motorcycle rides on weekends. Ezra doesn't mind the excuse to go and hang with his cluster or friends at the record shop, or take a ride on the back of Crowley's bike as well.

And the lines.
