Actually wrote this before I wrote Daughter, but D20 Fic Off inspired me to revisit and rework it into something I felt good about posting.
Poetry is one of my favorite things in the world and I love to use it to explore the minds of characters, obviously this isn't a canon character, but it was still fun to write.
Reflections on having a daughter
First I wanted a daughter
Then I just wanted a happy son
For years, I didn't have either
It hurts to lose someone
You've poured so much love into
First I wanted a daughter
Then I just wanted a happy son
Now I have the first one
And she's happy
Thank god she's happy
