Chapter Text
Izuku's arm brushed up against something, causing him to yelp as he fell backwards out of his seat. A strong arm grabbed his shirt as he fell, catching him and pulling him against his boyfriend's chest.
His face blossomed into a bright red as he pushed himself off of Bakugo, stuttering apologizes. “Tch. Only you can be scared of a shopping trip.”
His voice was sharp, but Izuku could hear the concern hidden underneath it. “I j-just have a bad feeling. T-that's all.” Kacchan barely glanced at him before pulling him closer in a half-hug, ruffling his hair in the process.
“Classic Deku. Just stay by me. I'm stronger than you after all.” Izuku covered his smile, lightly chuckling at his attempt to comfort him. “Thanks Kacchan.”

The car screeched to a stop as they pulled up to the mall, startling Izuku from his thoughts. He sat there for a minute, contemplating just pretending to be sick so he could go home.
He squeaked as Katsuki grabbed his arm, dragging him out of the car and towards the mall. “Come on, slowpoke. Those supplies aren't gonna buy themselves.”
Inko called after them, chuckling a bit. “Be safe, boys! No more villain encounters, ‘Kay?” Bakugo rolled his eyes and slammed the door before walking towards the mall.
Izuku stood there for a minute, watching as his mom drove off. His stomach twisted itself into a knot, making him feel physically sick, but he ignored it and set off after Kacchan.

They met up with the rest of their classmates once they got inside the mall, Kacchan quickly being dragged away by Denki and Kirishima. Izuku felt impossibly sicker without his boyfriend, but didn't make any attempt to follow him.
He was just being paranoid, nothing was actually gonna happen… Right? He looked down at the list he had put together, quickly making a plan.
He could try to get a new hoodie first, since his old one was almost too small for him. He nodded once, before heading to a clothing store.
His eyes lit up as he immediately rushed to the hero merch section. His hand brushed against the fabric of a black one with a small image of All Might on the chest. It was soft to the touch, but not furry.
He grinned as he picked it up, maybe this shopping trip wouldn't be so bad after all…
He froze as a cold, clammy hand settled onto his shoulder.

Katsuki scowled as Mina dragged him to ANOTHER store. How long are these nimrods gonna drag him around?! He was already done shopping.
“Ooooo! Boom Boom Boy, come look at this!” Bakugo glared at her as he stomped over. “What do you want, Raccoon Eyes.”
“Wouldn't Izuku love this?” She held up a limited edition All Might figure, being careful not to damage it. “Nah. He already has one.”
Kirishima's eyes widened in shock. “No way, man! It just came out yesterday!” Katsuki let out a horse chuckle. “Tch. I got it for him.”
Denki smiled widely, before breaking out into song-
“Kacchan and Izuku, sitting in a tree
K-I-S-S-I-N-G!”
Bakugo's face turned tomato red, and he swiftly punched him in the face. “Woah! Not cool, man.” He glared at Kirishima, raising a fist threateningly.
Mina sighed, dramatically putting hands on her hips. “As fun as this is to watch, Iida wants us to all meet up in 5 minutes, so we should start heading back.”
Bakugo rolled his eyes, turning around and stomping off ahead of them. “Well, at least he's not punching anyone now.”
Denki groaned in agreement, rubbing his now swollen eye. “Tell me about it…”

“17-18-19- 19?” Iida sighed in confusion. “Who are we missing?” Slight murmuring broke out before Momo stepped forward. “Does anyone see Midoriya?”
Katsuki's heart dropped at the mention of his boyfriend, eyes darting back and forth to search for him. Panic rose in his chest, making it hard to breathe.
“WHICH ONE OF YOU EXTRAS WAS WITH HIM?!” His voice came out loud and brash, but he didn't care about it. All he wanted was to find Izuku.
People started shaking their heads, glancing around to see if someone else was with him. No one. No one was with him.
Iida stepped forward, trying to calm the class down. “I'm sure he just hasn't checked his phone, he must be somewhere around here. Yaoyorozu can you call Sensi please?”
***
Katsuki's heart was pounding in his ear, making it hard to hear. His breath came out ragged and uneven, and all he could think about was Izuku.
Izuku didn't want to come today. He said something was off. He forced him to come. It's all his fault. He should have known. Izuku never acts like that. He should have listened. He said he would stay with him. He failed him.
He's gonna be sick.

RINGGGGGGGGGGGG
RING RING
RIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Shouta groaned in annoyance as he rolled over. Who was calling at this time??? He sighed, grabbing the phone. “What do you want.”
Yaoyorozu's frantic voice boomed in his ear, causing him to flinch and pull the phone slightly away from his ear. “Sensi? Midoriya is missing.”
Of course it would be the problem child. He steaded his voice, quickly grabbing his scarf and heading out the front door. “I'll be there in two.”
***
Aizawa pushed through the crowd, finally coming across class 1A, who rushed to greet him.
“Bakugo. Do you know what he needed? Like a store he would be in?” Bakugo turned his sharp gaze to him before replying. “Tch. He needed a hoodie and some sunscreen. That's it.”
Aizawa nodded once before facing the class. “Bakugo, Kirishima, Tsuyu, Udaraka, Tokoyami, and Shinso. You're with me. The rest of you stay put until Present Mic gets here, then check all the stores that would have sunscreen. We'll check the clothing stores.”

Aizawa stepped inside another store, this time heading straight to the cashier. “Hello sir, how can I help you?” Aizawa blinked in surprise at the tone of her voice, but continued on. “I'm missing a kid. Pretty pale, has freckles, green hair. You seen him?”
She, Lilly, if her name tag was correct, rolled her eyes. “You don't look like the type to have a kid.” Aizawa, not one to lose his calm, pressed onwards.
“He's not mine.” She sat up straight and tilted her head slightly, meeting his eyes. “Oh, so you're just looking to kidnap a random kid?”
“What? No, he's my student.” She smiled slyly before replying, “This isn't a school.” Aizawa, sighed sharply, deciding he did not like this person.
“Look, I just need to find him, did you see him or not?” She went back to looking at her phone dismissively. “Maybe I did, maybe I didn't.”
Shouta let out a huff of air, eyes glaring with a tinge of red and the ends of his hair standing up. “Just. Tell. Me. If-”
“Um… Sensi?” His eye twitched in annoyance as he turned around. “Yes, Tsuyu?” She blinked blankly at him, seeing his frustration, before replying. “We found Midoriya's student ID and phone in the hoodie section.”
Aizawa nodded once, turning back to ‘Lilly’. “Get me your manager.” She grumbled as she stood up, stomping away.

“These are the recordings from today- that's weird…” Aizawa stood up from where he had been sitting. “What?”
“An entire section of these are gone. Not even corrupted, missing. Like they weren't there.” He stared at the manager, confused. “That's not possible, there should be signs that it existed.”
“Normally, yes. But it's very possible that it was a quirk. Even so, an hour being missing is unheard of.” A slight buzzing filled the room, sounding like an explosion in the silent room.
Aizawa frowned, reaching for Midoriya's phone. Unknown number. He picked it up. “Hello? What do you want?”
A raspy, dry voice, like nails on a chalkboard, filled the room.
“Hello, Hero. Missing UA's golden boy, aren't you?” Aizawa's grip on the screen strengthened, making his knuckles turn white. “What did you do?” A cruel, grinding laugh filled his eardrums making him inwardly cringe.
“Don't worry, we'll return him soon. “
“Just not how he was.” The phone call ended.
