Subaru smiles as she hears the door to her and Saku's house open. "I'm home." she hears, the oh so familiar voice ringing like a wind chime. She heads to the door from the kitchen, wearing her apron.
"Welcome back," she starts, beaming. "Did you buy the stuff I asked for?" she asks. Saku reveals a bag from behind him, smugly smiling.
"Last ones in stock~!" he remarks. "What do you even need all of this for though?" Subaru shrugs as she winks at him, taking the bag and placing a finger on her cheek, all cheekily. He knew what she was doing.
"Something special. Go take your shower first, hun." she says, retreating to the kitchen. Saku stands there, calming himself down.
After having taken a shower and getting ready for dinner, a message sudenly popped up from his phone.
Ide: Yo, Natsusawa-kun. Could you sub for my class tomorrow, 5th and 6th? Thanks in advance.
Before he could respond, the roster for the next day's reliefs was sent into the teachers' group. Lo-and-behold, his name was listed on 5th and 6th periods, replacing Ide.
"That… that…"
"Saku, are you… heh." Subaru walks into their room, leaning on the door frame.
Poof! Saku disappears from the inside of this pyjamas, causing the clothes to fall and crumple on the ground. The clothes rustle around, and…
Out came a cat's head, looking very much pissed.
"Mrow." Saku meows. Subaru giggled as she walks over to the black cat.
"Aww, someone's riled up, are they~?" Subaru teases, holding the cat up by his paws. He lets her, like always, and nods slowly. She then cradles him like a baby in her arms. It felt unbelievably safe.
"D'aww, poor little one." she coos, booping his nose. She walks out of the room, heading to the dining table.
She sits down, letting Saku sit in her lap. She pets his head, prompting him to let out a low rumble; a purr, per se. His tail swishes and wags. Subaru grabs her phone, instinctively opening her camera app.
Snap!
She snaps a photo of the cat in her lap, causing her to look up, hoping she had mercy that night.
"Hehe, sorry." she said, not sorry at all, with a smirk. "You're just adorable when you're like this."
Saku looks at her, with a bemused look. Well, as bemused as a cat's face can get. Even still, Subaru would always understand what her husband was trying to convey. Cat or not. She knew what he was feeling; and it wasn't helping in calming him down.
"Meow!" he mewls, obviously pleading for her not to send the picture into the group. His tail ceases swishing as he looked at her smirk. "Meow…" he pleaded, roughly translating to "No…"
"Don't worry, I won't- ah. Oh no. Cursed technology…" she says, eyes widening at her phone. "Oops."
"…mrow."
"Sorry, I sent it by accident." Subaru says as the phone erupts with notifications. "Too late now."
Saku shakes his head and burrows into Subaru, fully knowing the onslaught that will be his friends teasing him forever. If only Chisa would send photos of Ayato as a Honey Badger…
Subaru giggled. "You're so adorable when you're a cat. I'm sorry about this."
Snap!
It was after dinner, and Saku had calmed down, reverting back into his usual, human form. Having ate his dinner, he was now watching the TV, while Subaru…
Actually, what was Subaru doing?
Oh, he so wanted to get back at her. And he knew just how to do that.
Saku: Asakura-san, are you busy?
Suzuka: Yo, Nyatsusawa! Wassup?
Saku breathes in. No, not over this.
Saku: Do you want pictures of Hoshinya Subaru?
Saku: Also please don't tell her I called her that.
There's about 6 seconds before a response goes through.
Suzuka: Pfft, alright, sure.
Saku: Well, you gotta do something for me first.
10 minutes later…
Saku waits eagerly, idly looking over lesson plans amongst other things, when suddenly, he heard a soft poof! from the other room 'Jackpot.'
He only needs to wait 15 seconds before a white fluffy cat emerges from their room, dragging a garment she was wearing before. She looked displeased and a little unoriented.
"Meow. Meow meow!" she mewls, causing Saku to giggle. "Meow meow." Subaru scolds him, trotting towards his lap.
"Yeah yeah, I told Asakura-san to do that. Sorry." he says, petting her and helping straighten her fur. "But," he continues, taking his phone out. Subaru looks up at him just in time.
"M-Meow…?"
"It's time for some payback."
