Chapter 1: Ch Zero the Beginning

Chapter Text

The sky's painted a blooded red as ash falls any and everywhere you look, the dead lay lifeless and cold. Other than the cold whistling winds and cackled laughter of insanity.

“Shall we play again!?” in a cold heartless tone lined with joy and glee

They appear above a twisted smile on their face hiding the pain of revenge, wavy ink like hair falls down to their shoulders and eyes filled with one thing madness.

The others shiver at the sight of them fear in their eyes as pained tears fall. “I failed again.” Nox said cold and deflated in a quiet tone no one else heard clutching the ground and displacing dirt.

The last thing I saw was a tall shadowy being in a long black coat looking down on them and saying in a serious tone“ Fate has not yet been fixed.” tapping on Nox's forehead, and then a flash of many colors that slowly dragged into white.

In this sea of ever changing colors white-ish or gray-ish figures moved and danced as the colors disappeared. The figures danced slowly like a predator stalking prey waiting for the opportunity to pounce.

The tall shadowy being from before appears in front of me,”You haven't disappeared yet and now you know too much dearie.” The voice they had was playful unlike the cold words they were speaking.

In the second I blinked they had a needle in their left hand and the other reached for my jaw. To avoid the hand I had tried to move away, finding that I was stuck with my hands and feet sinking into the ground.

The hand grabbed my jaw and with the needle they pushed it into my skin having warm liquid from the open wound that painted their hands. My screams made it out only for a short time as they continued to sew up and down, closing my mouth completely until there were only muffled screams and quite sobbing echoing around.

The figure, standing up with pain in their eyes and trying to hide the pity and sympathy, “This hurts me more than it's hurting you dear.” said in quite silent words almost unheard covered by tears. They disappeared after a few hours of watching me struggle to breathe in a princess curl, as tears still fell and the other figures left too.

After crying for days, hours, weeks it was hard to tell. I got up tired, stumbling every time I walked hoping to find home or go somewhere other than here. The next time I fell it got dark like midnight, getting up and looking and feeling around it was a forest. With trees as tall as giants and bark as hard as stone, grass as soft as a velvet pillow with drops of dew on every blade.

Basking in the familiar sounds of leaves quivering and drops on dew falling, a light drifting in the corner of my eyesight. In panic I whip my head for the light and see a person behind it, trying to get up but just scrabble and fell again. The fall this time made a noise which pointed the bright light at me.

Shielding my eyes, panic tells me to run but my body rejects it, planting me down as the person turns off the light and moves closer. I closed my eyes expecting the worst, but that didn’t happen instead a hand landed on my shoulder. A shiver rippled through me when it landed. And they spoke

“Who are you?”
