It was a rainy day at camp half-blood, and Nico planned to take advantage of that and stay in his cabin the whole day. But … of course his boyfriend Will Solace just had to ruin those plans. Will showed up with two plates at around 10:30 am with a huge smile on his face.
“Good morning sunshine. I brought our breakfast so you wouldn’t starve. Just the way you like it with strawberries and syrup on the side.” Will said pushing his way past Nico and setting the food down on table next to Nico’s neatly made bed.
“Okay just barge in I guess,” Nico said closing the door and following Will and sitting down on his bed.
Will sits down next to Nico and flung an arm around Nico’s shoulder and squeezed it. “Please eat at least half of it so you fall into your old habits.” Will said gently, practically reading Nico’s mind.
“Fine. I will eat half of it and if I feel like more then I will eat it. Okay?” Nico stated after sighing.
“Thank you. I love you.” Will said kissing Nico’s cheek.
“Yeah, yeah. I love you too Solace.” Nico said leaning into Will’s shoulder. He looked down at the food in front of him. He felt disgusted, how could he possibly eat even a quarter of this much less half. He swallowed reminding himself he made a promise to his Will. His boyfriend. His everything. He swallowed once more and picked up his fork and knife and slowly started eating his food.
Will just smiled and squeezed Nico’s shoulder once again and started eating his own breakfast. After Will ate all of his food he turned his head to watch Nico struggle to eat his plate. “Baby are you okay really? You know that there are a lot of people who would hate to see you go please remember that we all love you.” Will said nervously. Like he was just going to make things worse.
“I know Will, you tell me every day.” Nico said as he continued to eat his food. Nico wondered why he even tried, Will knew that Nico wasn’t going to eat his food but instead take so long to eat it that Will would get distracted and insist that they play a board game or some shit. But he found him self still trying to eat even if it made he stomach do somersaults. After he had eaten exactly half of the stack of pancakes it was almost 12:30, it had taken him two hours to eat half of his breakfast.
“Okay now that your done we should watch a movie or something. If we watch a movie I want to try to watch the hunger games again even if I got scared last time.” Will says with a determined look or his face. Nico then let out a small barely audible laugh.
“Okay, we can watch a movie but we not stopping if you get scared this time. Okay?” Nico finished leaning into his boyfriend a little more. As they started to watch the movie Nico’s eyes although glued to the screen, he could still tell that Will was staring at him, not even paying attention to the movie he asked to watch. Although Nico didn’t mind Will looking at him he wanted him to pay attention to the movie so they could talk about it. But … that did give Nico an idea of a why to embarrass Will. He found he had to force himself from grinning at his idea of how to embarrass the shit out of his boyfriend. When the movie had ended Nico turned to face his boyfriend. Still trying to keep a completely straight face (which was hard because he is the opposite of straight). “Say Will, what was your favorite part of the movie?” Nico asked innocently.
Will’s face flushed. ‘Had he found out about why he had asked to watch a movie he actively hates’. “Ummm … the part when he is fighting Katniss” Will says nervously.
“Who is he and why are you acting like the main character is a boy?” Nico asks already knowing the answer. “Or were you too busy staring at me to pay attention to the movie that you were just guessing what happened?” Nico said finally letting the suppressed grin come on to his face.
“What how did you know?” Will says blushing furiously. Before he could an answer he felt something brush up against his face, and when he had realized what it was Nico already had him locked in a long, slow, and peaceful kiss. Will kissed back with all his might. Although it was way past lunch he didn’t want to leave to go get food. So instead he and Nico ate the remaining stack of pancakes. Will ate almost all of it but Nico ate a good amount too. He pulled Nico down on to his bed after they were done eating the pancakes, hugging him gently and playing with his hair. As he lays there just existing with his boyfriend he can’t help but feel lucky. He got a strong beautiful person to love him, he only wished Nico would take more care of himself.
It’s the next morning Nico and Will had watched the remaining four hunger games and fell asleep in each others arms. Although they both knew that they would get in trouble for staying in the cabin by theirselves they wouldn’t trade the comfort they had felt in each others arms for the world.
