Chapter Text
Rose and Lima woke up together. Lima didn’t remember much, except for Rose. She remembered her vividly.
“Rose? Where are we?” Lima asked, sitting up. Rose sat up after her and then gently touched Lima’s face.
“I don’t know, but at least we’re together.” Lima nodded, and stood up, seeing the world form around her for the first time.
“I think I need a new name, Rose. One that fits us. There were these lovely flowers. Yes, that’s it. Orchid. I think it fits, don’t you?” She smiled as a small field of the flowers grew and bloomed around her feet.
“You are just as beautiful my love.” Rose smiled, and Orchid kissed her in response.
Lima sat nowhere, watching this. It wasn’t her. Not really, anyways. Just a replacement. But Lima knew that she could not interfere, and would have to sit there and watch as Rose had a life with this alternate version of her. This mimicry. And she hated it. But if Rose was happy, then she would let it be. If she could not be there, at least Orchid could.
