Surprise Visits

Summary:

Corbeau decides to make a surprise visit to the hotel

Notes:

When I first thought if these I actually wanted them to be in drawn comic form, but I can't draw. So here they are in word form.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter Text

It was the first warm day of the season. The sun was out fully to signify that winter was over and spring was here. Corbeau stood in front of the wall of windows on the second floor of his loft. He gazed at the city below him, letting the sunshine warm him through the glass. For once, he didn’t have much planned for the day.

‘I think I’m going to mess with team MZ today’ he thought to himself. There was something about the nice weather that made him ornery and who better to take it out on than his favorite do-gooder.

Philipe was waiting outside of his building for him, as he does every morning.

“We’ve got business at Hotel Z this morning so we’ll be headin’ there first. And since it’s such a nice day we’re going to walk. That should give them all enough time to be awake when we get there.” he says to the stout man beside him. Philipe nodded in acknowledgment, he didn’t mind being outside on a nice day instead of being cooped up in their office. Corbeau did want to enjoy the sunshine as much as he could as well, but he really just needed the time to come up with an excuse to be at the Hotel.

…………..

The lobby of the old hotel was unusually empty. Only Ansha stood behind the front counter, she gave him a wide smile as he walked towards her. He returned Ansha’s smile, he was fond of the tiny donut chef. He looked around curiously for everyone else. She must have picked up on that when all she said was “they’re all on the roof.” He nodded at her before he and Philipe ascended in the elevator.

The roof? They must also be enjoying the nice weather before heading out on whatever it was they did during their free days.

Ding

The elevator doors opened and Corbeau stepped out, sun shining right into his eyes. He took a half blind step into the direction where he heard voices. As his eyes adjust he sees…..something he was not expecting. The whole team was here, evenly spaced out in a row with Urbain in front, facing them. Everyone was in the same pose, he thought it was called the “downward facing dog” from the handful of yoga classes he attempted for ‘stress management.’

He scanned the room and his eyes met yours. He could feel the heat rush to his face as he not only met your eyes but also got a direct sight of your ass in the air. Quickly he averted his eyes to the ground.

“Namaste” he heard Urbain say before everyone stood and began rolling up their mats. You walked up to the almost blushing man.

“What’s up?” You ask, curious. You weren’t expecting him at the hotel this morning.

“I didn’t know you all did yoga.” he ignored the question.

“Yeah! Lida suggested we should start. Our pokemon might do all the battling, but what good are we if we’re knocked out by a rogue mega? It keeps us limber so we can dodge attacks better.” You add cheerfully, this has become a favorite part of your morning routine.

“I see.” Was all he could say to that.

“Soo….not that I mind you being here, but, did you need something?” You asked curiously. You held your hands together behind your back as you waited for a response. His eyes were focused on the ground.

After a moment of silence you leaned down into his direct line of sight.

“Beau?” This was unusual, he was not someone to hold his tongue. His eyes focused on your face now, flustered.

“Well…” he trailed off. He had completely forgotten the reason he came up with to visit the hotel.
