Chapter Text
Poppy fields- Chapter 1--Samantha
The last thing sam remembered was the speech.
The feeling of the cold stone balcony beneath her feet. The loud words of the governor, whom was to her far left. The warmth of the governor's daughter's hand in hers. Lily.
She remembered Lily. A tall, blond, human girl her age. They grew up together, suffered together, played together. And though all of that, Lily was so...human.
Samantha remembered the dress she wore for the speech. A white sundress, nothing much. She remembered it was her and Lily's birthday. Or at least it was Lily's. Samantha never knew her birthday.
She remembered the moment she realized something was wrong.
She remembered the cold terror that snaked through her like electricity.. She remembered the blood-curdling scream of the governor's wife. She remembered the searing pain cutting through her skull. She remembered the thundering of heavy boots as the soldiers traced the shots. She remembered clutching Lily's body against hers, unsure who the warm red liquid spilling out belonged to.
Note: Okay, so that was one hell of an entrance. I know the writing won't be amazing, after all it's 11:20pm on a school night as i'm writing this,(Sorry) but i'll try.
