Chapter Text
It was a normal, clear, joyful day in Plitover. The sun was shining across the City of Progress, children were running around, as adults chatted with each other, while others walked to their jobs, or while some walked to their homes. While The Council Members, Mei Medarda, Allira Salo, and Jayce Talis were chatting to each other around the Council table about how they would handle Jinx, until an Enforcer rushed into the room.
“Ships coming in from the sea!!!!” the Enforcer shouts out, causing the chatting in the Council Room to go silent, before Mei looks at the Enforcer and speaks out in a serious tone, “What was the symbol of their sails?” and the Enforcer replies back, “They had a wolf symbol on their sails, ma’am..” causing Mei’s eyes to widen as Jayce speaks out, “Is that a problem??” Mei looks at her fellow council members before saying in an annoyed tone, “Yes, those ships, that this man is referring to, belong to the Noxians or my Mother…Ambessa Medarda”
Meanwhile in the Undercity or Zuan, 2 Enforcers push down a woman, threatening her as one of them says in an annoyed tone, “Where is JINX!!!!!?” but the woman says back in a defiant tone, “Like in fucking hell, we would tell if we even knew!!!” This causes one of the enforcers to slap her, knocking her to the ground but before they could hit her again, a person wearing a gas mask with 2 glowing red goggles that covers their whole face, wearing dark steel armor over their body, and armed with a
glowing red plasma rifle walks up.
The Enforcers looks at the person, speaking out to them in a furious tone, “Who the fuck are you uh?!” but the person doesn’t say a word, and raises their rifle at the Enforcers, who try to speak out in panic, “Ho–” The person blasts both of the Enforcers with 2 laser bolts, going straight through their skull, causing their bodies to fall down to the side. The person then lowers their rifle, and walks away into the shadows, disappearing from sight.
At the Last Drop, inside Slico’s old office, a person is tracing their finger on the chair, as the light from the window reveals their appearance, showing them to be a boy no older than 18, with shimmering red eyes that cut through the darkness, pale skin as if he was a ghost, hair as dark as a starless night, with a stripe of blue, wearing black robes over his body, with black gloves over his hands, with a bracelet on his left wrist, red stones carved with runes, hanging from the bracelet.
The boy sits down in Slico’s Chair, looking up at the ceiling as he whispers, “So this is what you have seen Slico…” Then a 19 year old young woman, jumps down from the darkness, landing on the table, her long blue braids hanging off the table, touching the floor, as the light reveals her pale skin with cloud tattoos covering down her right arm to her chest, while wearing a crop top, with long pants, along with brown gloves on her hands, and pink shimmering eyes looking directly at the boy, as the girl speaks out in a tone that gives off a hint of crazed but also a hint of sorrowness. “Hey Shade, what are you doing sitting in Slico’s Chair?” The boy known as Shade looks at her with a friendly smile, “Well Jinx, in your place i will be sitting here to honor Slico by continuing his dream.” Jinx looks at Shade giggling before saying, “So, you are saying you’ll be the boss man so i don’t have to be?!” and Shade nods as I stand up and walks to the window, looking down the streets of the Lanes.
A flashback happens, showing a few hours after Slico had gotten the letter from the Council about giving up Jinx to them, and Zuan would be recognized as an independent nation. Slico is sitting in his chair, looking down at the letter as Shade walks in, looking at Slico before saying in a questioning tone, “You asked for me, Slico?” causing Slico to look up at Shade, and nods as he pushes the letter to the other side of his desk, “Read this Shade.” Shade looks at him confused but still picks up the letter and reads it, his eyes widening in shock before looking at Slico, “Don’t tell me that you are actually considering this!!?!” but Slico shakes his head, as he speaks out, “No I'm not, even though it's what I have wanted, I will never give Jinx to them.” Shade then looks at him confused as he says in a confused but suspicious tone, “Then why did you want me?”, causing Slico to turn his chair, standing up out of his chair, and walks to the window before saying, “If something happens to me, I want you to run Zuan..” Shade goes silent for a few moments before saying, “What?” as Slico looks at him before looking out the window again, as he responds back in relaxed tone, “Jinx won’t want to run Zuan, she doesn’t have an interest in such a thing so incase something happens to me, Zuan needs someone to keep it all together, that someone is you Shade.” Shade looks at Slico and nods as he replies back, “I understand, Slico but I doubt anything will happen.”
The flashback ends there, as a bulky, muscular woman in her early 30s with tan skin, black hair that is put in a ponytail, with grey eyes, wearing a dark blue, short sleeved shirt with dark pink pants, with a mechanical left arm, that as glowing red lines of wires running through it, with glowing red energy showing out of the lines of the mechanical arm, with some graffiti on it, walks into the room, looking directly at Shade. Shade looks at her as he sits back down in Slico’s old chair, while Jinx sits up, hanging her legs over the desk. Shade looks at the woman, and speaks out with a smile, “Hey Sevika, were you able to set up that meeting with the other
Then rushing out from behind the Sevika, is a young 10 year old girl, with blue hair like Jinx, amber eyes, and tan skin, along with cloud tattoos down her right arm just like Jinx’s cloud tattoos, wearing a dark brown collared shirt with a white X painted on it, with dark purple pants, who rushes over to Jinx, causing Jinx to lift her up onto her lap, and pats her head, as Shade says to the young girl with joyful smile, “Hey Isha.” and Isha smiles back at Shade before Jinx says, to Isha with joyful but manic like laugh, “Hey Kid.”
Shade shakes his head as he speaks out to Jinx, and Isha, “You 2 sisters go play, me and Sevika have something to do, I’ll join up with you girls later.” as he stands up out of Slico’s old chair, as Jinx nods while she puts Isha back on the ground, and stands up, taking Isha’s hand to rush out with her. Shade smiles as they leave, and then looks at Sevika with a serious look, as he speaks out with annoyance. “Let's get this over with.” Sevika walks out as Shade follows behind.
