Summary
From the blazing heat of Jerusalem to the wind of the Scottish Cheviot Hills, Rey has followed Master Luke over an ocean. He has promised her the gift of reading, but occupied with border skirmishes, she has largely been left to sew and brood.
Restless one morning, she ignores Master Luke's instructions and leaves the castle to explore. Once in Carterhaugh woods, she incurs a debt to a figure trapped between two worlds; although she doesn't know it yet, he is running out of time, and she may be the only one able to bring him back.
