It was a bright and sunny day, light peered down into the Tenma’s household. The blond hair boy has been practicing his upcoming performance in his room. he made sure to be prepared, as a star like him should be ready for anything, including being launched into the air during his shows!
Spring was around the corner, nearer and nearer to the day he awaits the most. That day was easter! He and his troupe decided to hold an easter show, it was mostly Emu’s idea with input from Rui. He didn’t know how long he was training his voice and posture for the show, it was far too long that he forgot the day he started practicing for it.
Anyhow, Practice was going swell and well, until a loud knock disrupts him.
“Come in!” The blond boy shouts
The door opens slowly, as a blonde girl appears. Her eyes sparkling upon seeing the boy.
“Good morning Tsukasa! What you’ve been up to?” Her smile glittering
“Oh, it is you Saki!” His face turning from a serious expression to a joyful one. “I’ve been practicing for my troupe’s show!” stunning a pride look on his face.
Saki is immediately interested “Ooooo, what will be the show be about!” She loves the shows that her brother has in store.
“The show will be about a rabbit travelling through space in his rabbit shaped rocket to the moon! I will be playing as the alien, the villain of the play! It is my upmost duty to play the role to its 100%...”
(Thats not enough!) he thinks to himself
“Actually, I will play it 200%!” Tsukasa’s voice was so high that it could break the windows.
Saki looks puzzled, until it clicks in her head. "Is this supposed to be for easter?”
Tsukasa replies “Why yes, it is!” with a look that radiates idiocy.
Saki can’t help but laugh, she's always amazed that her brother’s shows to be ambitious after the next. Tsukasa seeing her laughter, raises his eyebrow.
“W-what’s so funny?”
“It just sounds so silly for easter! I’d love to see it and see you perform as the alien, Tsukasa! So, you better give it your best!” She wants this show to be as best as the other ones.
The star smiles before going back to his confident look that he wears with pride and strive.
“Right! A star like me will give it my all!”
Besides, he wouldn’t have gotten to be a part of the troupe in the first place if it wasn't for him being excellent in his acting! As well with his friends and his sister, without them he wouldn’t be acting as an alien at all, nor be as bright and gleaming as he is now.
“Oh right” Saki pipes up, as she realizes what she wants her brother for “Tsukasa do you want to go shopping with me? I wanted to get some new clothes and look around!”
Shopping? With his sister? Why that’s wonderful! “Why yes, I would be delighted to!” not accepting her invitation to spend time with his beloved sister would be the greatest sin to him, he would have to be possessed by an evil deity for him to say no.
Saki’s eyes start to brighten like the sun “Yayyy!!! I’ll go get ready and you better be as well when I am finished!” Saki then runs off.
“Be careful!” Tsukasa shouts, a grin forming on his face. He should get prepared to go out, he may wear his casual clothes that he goes out with his friends.
After getting ready and telling their parents about where they would be going, they began walking off towards the mall. The sun is shining upon the area and the sky is blue with no fluffy clouds present.
The neighbourhood was lively, as birds were flying over houses following the wind, trees blooming with green tinted leaves. It was what he had expected and its gotten better with Saki by his side. Their steps being on time, like a rhythm.
Although, that rhythm falls apart when they reach the city. Tsukasa starts to fall behind as he thinks about his posture, acting, presentation for the show. He has so many things to take in that it felt endless.
While Saki is beaming with sunlight, just happy that she's going out with her brother, in her head it's like a dream that became true. Normally, she’d go out with her band members whenever she was aching to go shopping, mostly with Ichika and Honami as Shiho doesn’t usually goes that often with them, but she wanted this shopping trip to be special than the usual.
A lot of people passing by now as they delve deeper into the city, Saki knew they were getting closer to the mall. She can’t be more excited than ever! The entrance of the mall became clear. She turns her head to check on her brother...and he wasn't there. Confused she looks back, to see Tsukasa way behind her.
“Tsukasa! Hurry up, you slow poke!” Saki yells, a trait that all the Tenmas have in their blood.
“O-oh, apologies!” Tsukasa snaps back to reality, as his legs started to automatically go into overdrive mode as he rushes over to his sister.
The entrance doors slide out of their way, allowing them to enter into the mall. It is what Saki has imagined it to be like always. It was filled with a warm, wonderful, welcoming atmosphere that the siblings knew too well, as stores were open and bustling with customers.
Saki couldn’t wait to pick out accessories from her favourite store. To see the hangers be filled with colourful clothes, the shelves with vibrant bracelets laying on top of them. She just can’t wait.
Saki latches her hand onto her brother's hand, as she brings him along to the clothing store. A loud yelp escapes from Tsukasa’s mouth, He feels like his hand is ripping apart from his body.
“SAKI SLOW DOWN!” The star baffled about her sister’s determination to bolt towards the store.
Although, Tsukasa couldn’t bring himself to nag about her pulling him too hard, as he accepts his fate.
The journey to the store came with near accidents such as Saki nearly bumping into people as she was too focused to get to her destination and getting glances from nearby due to a certain someone screaming from his lungs.
Until they’ve finally reached the clothing store, it was slightly less packed than other stores, although Saki is thankful for the fact she didn’t have to dodge and sway along the clothing isles due to the amount of people.
She immediately shifts her view to Tsukasa, who could collapse in any moment “Tsukasa, I hope you’re able to help me pick out the right clothes that’ll fit me! But I won’t tell you what I’ll be looking for!” Saki Smirks
Tsukasa regains his posture “Aha! Is this supposedly a challenge for a star like me?” loud as ever.
“If that's what you’re viewing it as, a challenge for a star like you.” she answers his question.
“I accept the challenge. I’ll scan the area for the GREATEST clothing you could lay your eyes upon.” Tsukasa folds his arms with a confident smile. “Just you wait Saki! Off I go!”
He rushes off into the store blending into the clothes, only his blond hair could be seen. Saki couldn't help but admire her brother’s will, she walks into the store and over to the shirt section.
The last time she went here, the shirt section didn’t have as much in store for her. She hopes that some of the new ones that they’ve added could suit her style.
The long sleeve shirts have Saki’s interest, her eyes were especially looking for a certain colour, a certain style. Unfortunately, none of them has what she wants, searching, searching and more searching, she still yet has found anything that catches her eyes. Running out of options, she decides that she should search somewhere else.
She had too many options to pick, but alas she goes to check out the hats and scarfs section. Lucky enough, one of the scarfs caught her attention it has yellow and white stripes as its colour with small star patterns on them. This is what she has been looking for!
She takes the scarf and reads the price tag, it is around the range that Saki could spend without going absolutely broke for weeks. Before she could even get a step towards buying the item, an iconic voice that she knew too well.
“Saki! Saki! I found a marvellous accessory, that was begging to be pick by me!” He has his arms behind his back.
She takes notice, as she turns to look at him “I see, but why are you hiding it behind your back?” the look of confusion was the only information that Tusuka received.
“Don’t you remember the challenge you proposed to me?” Tsukasa delivers, which makes Saki remember what she said to him when they were Infront of the store.
“Ohh-Wait You’ve found something that I’d like!” her eyes immediately widen after realizing what this could mean.
“Yes! I just knew it’ll be something that you’d love to bits. Do know my eyes wouldn’t and will never deceive me” Admitting it proudly, A common occurrence with him.
“Never knew you had keen instincts of knowing what I’d like!” Saki replies, impressed by her brother’s confidence.
“You see, this star has a quirk that others won't be able to have in a mile!” Tsukasa flicks his hair with his hand, Saki couldn’t decide if she wanted to cringe or laugh at her brother’s action. she chose both.
Saki finishes her short giggle, before continuing “What must have you found, that you know I’d like it?”
Tsukasa smugs with confidence “don’t you worry sister! I’ll show you, right now!” He hopes this reveal will make Saki ignite with joy!
“Now...I present to you...” Tsukasa does a spin, while shouting “It is this wonderful Jumper! Just look at it”
Tsukasa held out the Jumper with his hands, like it was as precious as gold. Saki examines it, it is yellow and has a cute resemblance of a white bunny in the middle of it. She couldn’t bear the cuteness of the white animal staring at her, as she grabs the Jumper from Tsukasa, surprising him.
“It looks so cuteeeeee!” her eyes peeking over the jumper with glee. “Thank you, thank you so much for finding it, Oni-Chan!”
“I just knew my instincts are never wrong, this star is always ready for anything!” pauses his speech, before hitting a pose “That's why any challenge from my sister, should be met with determination from I!”
“Any type of challenge?” Saki replies with a cheeky tone.
Tsukasa looks at his sister with a determined stance. “Why yes, any type of challenge! It’ll take me a few tries, however success will always be the light at the end!”
Saki has a grin like a villain would have, as she replies, “Even a challenge for you to stay quiet for the rest of day?” A smug expression that was on the boy’s face suddenly turns into an embarrassed one.
“Now, now that one would take decades for me to finish, although doesn’t mean its impossible!” His state returns to his usual smug expression, however inside he's still baffled that his sister has the guts to say that.
Saki smiles, relieved about Tsukasa's answer “Nothing stops a star like you!”
After their small talk, they went to buy the cloths that they had with them, when brought Saki places them inside her bag. Leaving the store, she notices that the mall has shrunk in the number of people, as the loud chattering has seemed to fade away.
How long were they in that store for? She has never seen the mall this quiet before. Anyhow, they probably shouldn’t wait here for that long. Her eyes meet her brother standing next to her.
She begins to talk “I think we should go home.” a bit quiet than usual.
“Yeah, this day went quick! That's what happens when you spend time with a star like me!” Pride, and only pride could be heard from him.
“Yup!” Her voice returning to normal, after hearing confirmation from her brother.
The siblings swiftly exit the mall with some minor trouble along the way...guess who, the sun was setting as the sky colours were like fire, Shadows from the buildings appear to get bigger, bigger and bigger as time passes.
The neighbourhood is quiet, the rustles of leaves being thrown away by the wind, occasional vehicles passing by and the footsteps emitting from the siblings as they walk on the hard concrete walkways, were the only sounds that could be heard.
Tsukasa looks ahead of him “Looks like we’re nearing home!” Tsukasa pauses, looking at the crimson sky. “From the looks of it we’ve been at that mall for most of the day!”
“We had so much fun, if we forgot about how late it is! Thanks for coming to the mall with me, Oni-chan!” Saki smiles, it shines like a light bulb.
“I can’t hardly refuse an offer from my beloved sister, of all time!” Knowing his sister, he expected Saki to giggle or even laugh. Not for her to ambush him with a hug out of nowhere!
“Woah! Saki!?” Tsusuka bewildered by her sudden action. He returns the hug to the sender “Are you feeling ok-” before he could finish, he was caught off by Saki.
“Nothing happened silly, I just wanted to hug you!” Saki pulls away from the hug, to look up at him. Tsukasa looks down at her, to see no tears on her face, but instead her face gleams with joy.
“Huh?” Tsukasa replies, slightly confused
“You found that cute jumper for me, so I wanted to repay you!” Saki pauses before continuing “Do you not know how long it would make go crazy, if I didn’t give you anything in return for helping me? Not only that, you’re the best brother I have in the world! Nobody knows me best, but you.” She sees that Tsusuka’s cheeks slightly turning pink.
“Wel- Yes, of course Saki! I, as your brother should do my very best to be knowledgeable about how my sister is!” Tsusuka spoke with pride again, his attempts of not being embarrassed by Saki’s compliments were futile, yet he still tried. “That's what I shall shine to do!”
Saki giggles “This is why you’re the best!” Yet again, Tsusuka couldn’t hide his increasing embarrassment.
“Now, now enough with the praises, it's getting late now and it will be soon if we keep on standing here” Tsukasa offers his hand to Saki’s “shall we get going?”
Saki happily accepts, as their hands connect to each other. As they start to walk off to home.
“Right, lets go!”
