Dunia hummed as she finished another set up at the altar she had made. Nura helped as much as she could do and understand and was just standing back and watching Dunia do what was left. She couldn't help but admire how the fading sunlight looked on Dunia’s hair.
She was so beautiful. Unique and almost ethereal even. She almost forgot to not stare too long. She blushed when she realized she was staring and looked down.
Dunia had felt the staring and felt her “friend" looking away. She looked over at Nura and smiled at how the light looked on Nura. This always happened, one looked away and the other stared, back and forth. Their eyes rarely matched but did do so every so often. They didn't mind that. It was a thrill when their eyes did meet.
They loved just catching each other's eyes staring at each other. It made their hearts race and their faces flush slightly. Nura’s face always flushed a bit more when she got caught due to not being used to being caught looking at someone so pretty. Dunia was almost too perfect, no, she was too perfect. Nura wondered how someone so beautiful could exist. She was like a glowing star. The sun even. Nura couldn't help but be drawn to her.
Nura only looked up again when she and Dunia heard someone help in surprise. Bruno, who had just been trying to gather sticks and other things for the Favorites team, had gotten surprised by Ren trying to find stuff for Dunia's altar.
Ren was grinning and jumped from the tree and waved at the lesbians before suddenly picking Bruno up and carrying the now very red faced man away. He was also wide eyed.
Dunia giggled a bit, knowing Ren now was off on a break with Bruno and might be busy for a while. She didn't mind and glanced at Nura now and smiled before getting up and walking over to her. Nura had a raised eyebrow and then glanced at Dunia before blushing at the fact she was standing next to her now. She tried not to stammer and blush as the sun was now set.
“What did you need D- Dunia” she had to clear her throat for a moment part way through talking. Dunia just smiled and paused before answering. "Just seeing how you reacted if I stepped close without you realizing. Also, you looked confused "
Nura sighed and glanced back at the trees for a moment. In the direction where Bruno was carried away by Ren. Dunia glanced down the trail now too with a small smile and casually, slowly, took Nura's hand. Nura didn't question it or blush this time and just wrapped her hand around Dunia's. They were quiet again until Dunia spoke up again.
“If you're wondering, Ren might be a bit … busy with Bruno for a while." She said this with a very slight smile as if she was trying not to laugh. Nura raised her eyebrow again before making a noise and looking up at the slightly taller woman with wide eyes. Dunia chuckled with a small grin at that. She knew that was gonna be Nura’s reaction and it was cute and funny. She kissed Nura's forehead suddenly. She immediately blushed deeper.
The blush was like the red in her hair, it fascinated Dunia and made her smile. She liked this familiar of hers. She was in love even. Nura liked her the same too but both were somehow oblivious to it all. They were just too in love to know yet. They were waiting for that particular push even though it might not come.
Even though they could tell when the others were in love. Pretty much everyone else could tell they were in love. Just then, something happened. They were smiling and stared into each other's eyes for a moment. Suddenly as if they were drawn closer, their lips had touched and pressed into a kiss before they realized and looked away from each other with red faces.
“So… that was ..” Nura began at first with a smile, a very slight smile.
"Something" Dunia continued for her with the same smile. “A very special and good something.” Both girls looked back at each other and turned fully and held each other's hands. They shared another kiss and then just stood there for a while in complete silence and sighed happily. Dunia had pulled Nura closer a bit and held her.
“So… does this mean.. we're…you know..” Nura quietly mumbled. "Yes. We're together now. Partners." Dunia answered her with a gentle smile that was also loving. Nura looked back into her eyes and smiled. This entire moment was filled with only love. They didn't have any worries even though the show was still on. But hey. It's not like they had a challenge right now. Tomorrow maybe but not right now. They shared another kiss again before hearing something in the bushes and looking up.
It was Ren, who now had a bunch of marks on his neck and shoulders and a very proud and smug look. He grinned at his best friends now when he saw them and how close they were. He giggled and practically skipped over in a very giddy way. Dunia smiled at him as he did.
“Looks like you had a great time, Cheshire.” Ren grinned even more and his gold star earrings sparkled like his eyes always did. "Hell yea. Aaanddd, looks like the Moon and the Sun are together.”
Nura rolled her eyes as Dunia smiled again at that. Ren leaned forward casually in the silence that followed the slight chuckles. After a minute, he grinned. He looked mischievous now. He then spoke in a clearly very joking tone.
"Soooooo… is the sun and moon gonna get it-" “REN!"
