T.M. OPERA O
Ah! Welcome, dear viewer, to a tale that spans across time and space. A story that encompasses all of which we have ever known. A story which, like the very rope of our lives, doesn’t begin at the beginning, nor will it end at the ending. For each of our tales are merely a thread that, together with the thousands of others around us, make the world around us. There is no clear beginning, just as there isn’t a clear end. Our story starts like the best ones often do: somewhere in the middle.
FUJI KISEKI
My, my, my. What have we here? Two hearts, fused across space and time, meeting now at this fated place. A place that holds no bounds and no secrets. A place that knows of nothing but what it is now.
OGURI CAP
But… What is it now?
T.M. OPERA O
A question most noble and most difficult indeed. Where are we now, exactly? What more are we than the consequence of every action that we have ever taken? The curtain rises on a blank canvas. There is no birdsong and no wind, there are no trees and there is no sun. There is no ground beneath our feet, and there is no light to pierce the dark. There is only us.
OGURI CAP
Just like it always has been.
FUJI KISEKI
Hasn’t it always been that way?
GRASS WONDER
I don’t believe so. There used to be something here. Something that you made, something that you treasured. And I think that you lost it somewhere along the way.
FUJI KISEKI
My, my.
GRASS WONDER
Indeed. When you doubt away all that you are, what do you have left?
OGURI CAP
Oh.
GRASS WONDER
A protagonist? A villain? A lover? What is left when all of our labels melt away? What do you have when a name becomes a word, when a word becomes a letter, and when a letter becomes… Nothing? What then?
OGURI CAP
Maybe it’s best that you just let this go.
T.M. OPERA O
Enter DANTSU FLAME.
