“Is this normal?”
Emma needs to stop freaking out. She needs to stay calm and rational and not let the August heat get to her and-
“Nope,” Dr. Langdon said. In the reflection of the elevator door, she saw him slide down against the wall to sit.
“Omg, then how can you be so calm? We’re gonna be trapped in here!”
“Yeah, for probably an hour tops. I’m sure Dana will start a manhunt soon if the emergency crew doesn’t do their jobs. You’ll be fine,” he said. He patted the empty spot next to him to sit in invitation.
“My phone doesn’t even work in here,” she muttered with a reluctant groan as she finally sat, bundling herself up against the cool wall. She’d never been stuck in an elevator before. It was scary, especially in a hospital she barely knew. She’d only been there a few weeks.
“We’re still getting paid, there’s always that, hell, we could sleep if we wanted to,” he muttered dryly.
“We could sleep together?” Wait, what was he implying?
Frank turned his head towards her, shock written on his face.
“Sheesh, buy me dinner first kid. I meant take a nap,” he said through a chuckle, and Emma groaned from embarrassment, hiding her overheated face behind her hands. This day kept getting worse and worse.
It was quiet after that. Too quiet.
It was 47 minutes later when true boredom officially kicked in. She definitely wanted to be in Emergency medicine, needing the constant adrenaline.
She ended up taking a few-minute snooze against the man’s arm and he didn’t seem to mind as he leaned into her as well. It was actually quite pleasant. She was never really intimate with others before, always putting her education first.
And Langdon was certainly attractive. A flight risk, but definitely easy on the eyes.
“I mean we could,” she mumbled to herself.
“Could what?” He said, voice low.
“Oh, you heard me?”
“Kid, we’re basically snuggling right now, yeah I can hear you,” he replied. An awkward minute dragged by.
“If we do something do we agree to not report me? Whatever happens in the elevator stays in the elevator?” He asked loud and clear, shifting away from her, but his hands were slowly moving towards her hips.
“Sure, yeah!”
“Ever so chipper,” he mumbled.
Emma couldn’t help the little squeak as he manhandled her onto his lap.
“Won’t I hurt you?” She asked as she settled down, already feeling him slightly aroused under her. He chuckled before tugging on one of her pigtails affectionately.
“You’re lighter than a feather kid,” he said before grabbing her behind the neck and kissing her.
So this is what it felt like with a man and not with a boy.
Emma moaned involuntarily, feeling arousal pool within her body. She was already throbbing in her scrub pants and she knew if he touched her, which was soon considering he was already untying her knot, he’d feel just how wet she was.
“Oh,” she sighed as he nipped at her neck. Whenever she saw him in the ED he was always chewing on gum, one time she saw him chewing on a bendy straw that was in his redbull can. It was charming, even when he was trailing his mouth down to her clavicle to nip at the skin there.
It was a blur as his hands inched her pants down a bit before he palmed her cunt, his hand cupping her. His palm was heated to the touch and she moaned against his mouth in a kiss as he finally dipped a finger of his into her cunt.
“Yeah Angel, move just like that for me,” he encouraged her as she ground down onto his hand, egging him on for another finger. The stretch hurt so good.
Emma couldn’t help but shrug her scrub shirt off, flung somewhere in the humid elevator. Langdon groaned at the sight before he got his mouth on her chest, practically gnawing at the cup of her bra to get to her nipple.
“You’re goddamn tight,” he muttered into her mouth before kissing her, leaving her speechless. She felt so full from his fingers. She thinks she could finish like that. His thumb was working her clit.
“Emma,”
Emma felt so hot. Like she was losing her breath. Langdon’s hand came to her shoulder to keep her steady. She shut her eyes and she felt broken before opening them.
“Emma,”
She felt cold. She was freezing actually.
“You okay?” It was Langdon and Dana peering over her. She was slumped at a desk at the nurses' station. She looked down, the table top covered in half-assed charts and journaling. It was the last hour of her shift before a few days off.
“I’m, I’m fine,” she mumbled. She smacked her lips, cringing at the dry drool that was at the corners of her mouth. She shifted in her seat, wanting to cry at the embarrassing realization she was wet.
She’d never felt so humiliated.
“Here, something to perk you up,” Langdon said, slipping a KitKat candy bar towards her. Dana commented on sugar causing nightmares before walking off.
“Thank you,”
“You can eat it before you assist me and Dr. King grab a patient from upstairs,” he said, slipping into a mentor role. Emma didn’t say anything as she watched him walk away down the hall but jog briskly when he saw an older, familiar blonde smile at him.
