AKAHOSHI FIC

The sky was beautifully made by God.

Stars, comets, planets, all the pleasing things in life.

They were all such pretty things.

Kazuna loved to study and learn about them from time to time.

But that was the least of her concern at this very moment.

"K-K-Kazuna.. help me.." a figure on the ground begged as they latched on Kazuna's leg.

"What the hell." Kazuna shakily said.

Kazuna stepped back in disgust, clearly forgetting the tight grip this monster had on her.

She fell backwards, well, downwards maybe?

The ground below her cracked and split in half, revealing quite the big hole.

It made weird sloshing sounds whilst emitting glowing black particles..?

Kazuna didn't even know these types of things could exist in the first place.

"Well if I die, at least it will be in a fashionable way." Kazuna thought to herself.

Unfortunately the moment was cut short by an annoyingly loud voice.

"KAZUNA!!!! WAKE UP WE'RE GONNA BE LATE!!!" Kyoshi yelled.

"Damn. It was a dream." Kazuna breathed.

She looked around, before getting assaulted by another screaming voice.

"I FORGOT MY HOMEWORK..!! HELP ME KAORI!!" Kai shouted while practically on her knees.

What a great morning. Kyoshi is rushing, Kai is begging Kaori for her homework, and most importantly, the frustrating ring of the alarm clock was still there.

Kazuna buried her face into her pillow, begging to disappear. It's very unfortunate that it was a school morning. If it was a weekend, she would've slept until it was 1:00 PM.

She sighed as she kicked off her blanket and stood up, leaving behind her comfortable bed.
Kazuna rubbed her eyes sleepily as she reached to turn off the alarm clock.

However, the world isn't that kind to her.

Kazuna fell yet again, face planting on the ground.

Well isn't that so nice. She managed to slip both in the dream world and the real world.

She laid there for a few seconds before finally getting up.

Kazuna was a little bit more awake than before.

Awake enough to see the catastrophe that was happening.

"Kai." Kyoshi said with terror as he stared at the 'food' he made. He wasn't even sure if this was worthy to get called food.

"Yeah? You done cooking the pancakes?" Kai replied, stepping into the kitchen expecting to find warm fluffy pancakes.

But her expectations were destroyed as soon as she walked in.

The walls were coated in pancake batter, and wrappers were all over the place.

Kai looked at Kyoshi, who was currently fighting a battle with the 'pancakes' that he had managed to screw up.

"KYOSHI THIS WAS PRE-MADE PANCAKE BATTER HOW DID YOU SCREW UP THIS BAD??" Kai shouted over all the chaos that she couldn't even process.

Kyoshi then hurriedly grabbed a lid, almost dropping it before he finally managed to put it on top of the pan.

"HAHA! I won the battle!" Kyoshi shouted, sliding down the kitchen counter.

"You wanna explain what the actual HELL that was?" Kai huffed with disbelief.

Kyoshi stood up from behind the counter, and grins with a proud look. "I'm a great cook aren't I?" Kyoshi said, smirking as he crossed his arms.

"I-" Kai got cut off as Kaori entered the kitchen, frozen in shock from how cluttered and messy the kitchen was.

"Uhm.. So anyways, I got your homework, Kai"

Kai beamed, lunging towards Kaori to hug her.

"WAIT N-" Kaori exclaimed before getting tackled by Kai.

Kaori yelped as they both landed flat on the floor..

Kai was known for a lot of things, and one of them being her signature "tackling hug".. It was one surefire way to kill someone with kindness.

Kazuna watched all of this unfold from the door of her room.

"What a great morning.." Kazuna muttered, walking towards the war zone in the kitchen.

Kai got up and smiled at Kazuna as if she didn't commit attempted murder.

"Oh the troubles of having extroverted siblings" Kazuna thought.

"Kazuna! You're finally up." Kai joked. "I really didn't think you would actually wake up."

Kazuna eyed the body that was currently on the ground.

But hey, at least she wasn’t the one who was dead on the floor. Kai knew better than to TRY and hug Kazuna.

Many times in the past she tried, and many times she failed. It usually ended with a couple of bruises.

"Zunaaaaa, you there?" Kai asked, snapping two fingers in Kazuna's face like she was blind.

"Mhm." Kazuna mumbled.

Kazuna wasn't exactly sure if Kai knew, but for her sake, she decided to tell her.

"Kai." Kazuna spoke.

"Yeah?"

"Kaori is behind you with a chair." she added as if it was a normal thing.

"OH SH-" Kai spun, and lo and behold, behind her was a very angry Kaori who was ready to unleash her anger onto Kai like she was a rage room in human form.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH I'M SORRY KAORIII!!!" Kai stammered as she bolted outside the house, not wanting to face the wrath of their youngest sibling.

It's sort of an unspoken rule to not anger the youngest in the house. Quite literally anytime Kai or Kyoshi tried to ragebait Kaori, it failed.

Kazuna stared at the shoes that were still near the door, untouched.

Then she saw Kai running like a track star without shoes.

"Wow. Fear is one hell of a drug" Kazuna thought."

"Kazuna, you want some pancakes?" Kyoshi insisted, pointing at the stack of 'pancakes' that he made.

Kazuna glanced at the 'food' he had made. It was black. It was burnt and raw at the same time. It was even hissing at her.

"I'll pass. If I eat that, I'm gonna get sick." Kazuna remarked, observing the clock that was ticking in the corner.

"Kai will force you to eat at school then, so you don't have much of a choice," Kyoshi explained.

"Woah, look at the time. We're gonna be late." Kazuna excused as she moved towards the door, planning to leave Kyoshi and his 'pancakes' to die alone.

Before Kyoshi could say another word, the door clicked shut, marking the leave of all the siblings.

Kyoshi sighed as he looked around the kitchen, seeing the absolute mess he made.
