After Player had gotten the Ghostwalker they felt... empty. Not empty, empty isn't the right word, that's too much of a feeling in comparison to how they are. It doesn't feel like they are missing anything; it just feels like there is, and was nothing there to begin with. It's as if their emotions had never existed in the first place. They knew how they were supposed to react to things, but they just couldn't bring themselves to. It was as if they were a wooden doll being puppeted; they were in a way.
When Calypso and them had finally beaten Captain Trotter and the Ancients, all they had been focused on was getting the Firebrand and moving on to the next sword. Calypso had been crying, her father figure having been killed by her own hands, and they hadn't done anything to prevent or stop him. It wasn't like they couldn't, they could, but they chose not too.
why.
Why.
WHY.
WHY!
You've shed your weakness and become pure, just like he intended.
The swords loved how they were now. They had no hesitation when fighting, striking any foe down without a second thought. Despite the fact that they knew everyone else around them disagreed with the swords. Player saw the way Cruel King and Griefer looked at them during battle, small glances here and there with pity for what they had become. No matter how many times they tried to reassure the two that they were fine and that it's better this way. Player didn't have to acknowledge the monster that they had become during their mission. The king started staying with them longer after battles ended, making sure that they were taking proper care of themselves, along with tending to their wounds whenever they got injured while he was summoned. Griefer would drag them to hang out with him whenever they had free time to play whatever video game he was playing at the time, and would let them fall asleep next to him whenever they fell asleep while they were over, tucking them in. It would have warmed their heart with the knowledge that they had people who cared for them. Back during their time, they had been all alone for so long with no family or friends to turn to. They had felt every ounce of the pain that came with being alone, but as soon as they got their family friends they had their ability to feel taken away from them. It was unfair.
Ties to people just stop you from reaching your true potential. You have a mission after all.
They had three more swords left. Three more swords until they are finished with their mission. Three more swords until they are all alone again can go home. Three more swords until they can go back to their cold and isolated apartment.
Why were they even doing this? They got no reward for this. What would they just be sent back home in the end? They had nothing waiting for them back at home. Hell, they didn't even know if Shedletsky could get them home. Does he even know why they were here in the first place? Why did he choose them of all people? They were just a normal Robloxian who randomly appeared in this time. Were they even going to survive long enough to see the end of their journey? They knew what was said about the hero, the one who was assigned by Shedletsky to get the SFOTH Swords. They had gone missing in the end, and they put up a statue in their honor. Why couldn't they assign an Admin to do this mission like Doombringer? Surely he would be the faster and more trustworthy person to complete the quest. Shedletsky wasn't telling them something. They were a sheep being led to the mouth of a hungry wolf. It was a suicide mission. He expected them to die. Player felt the Ghostwalker sting their back where they had the sword sheathed with the others. No, they couldn't think like that. Why would an admin do that to an innocent Robloxian? Were they even innocent anymore? It wasn't like they where a hacker or any actual threat to society. The admins were here to protect them, not harm them, after all, that's what they have been told since they were a child. It's fine, they have already gone this far; they might as well finish their quest. All they need to do is listen to what he tells them to do.
