Well,a first successful class trial calls for a light snack!
Despite not doing anything during that trial,Kokichi walked his way to the dining hall. Kirumi promised everyone something,she just didn’t specify what.
Kokichi thought about Kaede. The way her body declined while being hung and pressed on life-sized piano keys. He felt sad for a moment,but then shook his head and ignored that feeling. He was a sadist according to the others,after all!
But all of a sudden,Kokichi hears music.
He noticed that it was coming from Kaedes talent lab. But why?
Then he realized. It was probably Saihara-chan. Figures.
Kokichi took a peak inside the room, and saw shuichi standing sadly infront of the grand piano in the very middle of the classroom. After a moment or two,he finally walked in and said something.
“Oii! Saihara-chan the wilted lily!” Kokichi teased. “Still grieving your musical waifu? Nihihi~”
Shuichi flinched at the sound of Kokichis voice. “K-Kokichi?! What’re you doing here?”
“Oh I dunno, I just heard music,and saw you standing around in Kaedes talent lab, so I thought I’d come and visit!!”
Shuichi sighed. “you can’t just barge in like that all the time.”
Kokichi pouted. “Oh cmon!! God forbid I check on my beloved!”
“I’m not falling for your tricks. Admit it. You’re just here to make fun of me,like you always do.” Shuichi mumbled annoyingly.
“That’s what everyone wants you to think,shumai!” Kokichi pouted. “Everyone thinks I’m this mean bully just because of my talent. And you believe them all! But just let me stay with-“
Kokichi was interrupted with Shuichis sudden yelling.
“STOP LYING!! YOURE JUST GONNA SAY “ITS A LIE” AMD THEN RUN OFF LAUGHING LIKE GOOFY!” Shuichi hollered.
“…goofy?” Kokichi huffed a little.
“SEE? You’re showing your true colours,liar!” Shuichi scoffed.
“JUST HOW STUBBORN DO YOU HAVE TO BE,MISTER GUY WHO CALLS HIMSELF THE ULTIMATE DETECTIVE??” Kokichi screams.
“WELL IM “SORRY” THAT I CANT GET OVER KAEDES DEATH AND WANT TO BE ALONE FOR ONCE IN MY MISERABLE LIFE!!”
Kokichis gaze softened as he froze in place. Shuichis eyes started to form tears. Then,the taller boy collapsed to his knees and started to sob. Kokichi kneeled down and got to his level.
“Oh Kokichi…..I just can’t take it anymore…I-I wanna go home…”
And that,was the first time Kokichi saw shuichi cry,ever.
And instead of mocking,teasing or laughing at him. He pulled the crying boy into a hug. Something he never knew he could pull off.
“It’s okay Shuichi…you don’t have to be alone in all of this.” Kokichi uttered.
Shuichi whimpered and sniffled slightly. “Th…ats….w-weird,c-com..ing from y-you…” shuichis words started to slur due to crying so much. The detectives body started to get tired and weak.
Kokichi cringed in embarrassment softly as he rocked the taller boy back and forth,just like how a mother would soothe a crying toddler.
Shuichi tried to slow down his labored breathing. His breath and heart shuddering against Kokichis chest. The supreme leaders heart clenched at the sense of it.
