In my dream, all I could remember was six bodies infront of me. Those bodies.. They all looked like me.. Yet, one of them was a carbon copy of me. The five others all had slight differences. I wanted to see them clearly but before I knew it, I woke up.
I guess I should introduce myself.. Well; I am Yōichirō. Yōchirō Nagatani ! I'm a 15 years old dude with special hair ! I mean.. They do have two color but I love them ! Anywaayyy.
When I opened my eyes after that weird dream, I couldn't remember where I was. I knew it wasn't my home. But the place ? I couldn't place a name on it nor a memory. But now wasn't the time. I needed to know where I was. I started to look around, holding my head slightly just to be sure. It was a bedroom, that, I could understand. There was a window near the bed where I woke up.
I slowly got up and walked towards it before looking out the window and what I saw, was.. Something. There was a normal city. It seemed like the one I was living inside it but.. It seemed like that city was more chaotic. I could see that it wasn't my city. People seemed to run outside, some were fightings but.. Not with their fists. With cards..
I knew what they were doing ! We called it Duel Monster ! I used Fusion Monsters !! My ace is Divine Scorpion Beast of Serket !! But the monsters they were sending weren't fusion monsters. That, I could see. It seemed like they had little glowing balls flying around them that sometimes disapeared.
But, I couldn't stay here. What would my friends think about that !? I needed to go back to the Academy. As I slowly walked towards the door, I heard a noise. I grabbed my deck, even if I didn't know where I was, I still had it with me.
When the door opened, there was a young boy. He seemed, maybe a little bit older than me. He had blue fluffy hair with a blue and a yellow eye. It wasn't long before he walked towards me before grabbing one of my hand.
"Hey Shima !!" He said with such enthusiasm that it was kind of scary. "Did you sleep well ? You're already dressed I see ! Well.. That's a funny type of uniform since school doesn't have one.. Anyway !! We should go !! Hurry up !"
I couldn't even answer that he started pulling me by the hand. I did tried to ask him a question but he wouldn't stop talking about dinosaurs and dragons.
At last, we arrived at a school. I seemed.. Like it was a great school. Yet.. I preferred the Academy. After what felt like eternity, I tugged onto the boy's sleeve. He looked at me with big eyes while I finally spoke.
"Just, who are you ? Who is that "Shima" you were calling me ? My name is Yōichirō and where are we ? This is not my school ! This is not the Academy ! And what's with the monsters those people were sending out !? Why did they have glowing balls around them that disapeared !?"
I said in fear. He looked at me, confused before tilting his head slightly. "It's me, Ai.. Why are you acting like that..? What do you mean, you're not Shima ?" He said, looking sad. "Wait.. It's true that your hair and eyes are quite different.. But I thought it was just my mind ! And those monsters were XYZ monsters ! You know them ! Right !? Come on, don't fool around, it's not like you ! Why are you like that today !? Shima—" Before he could continue, I putted my finger in front of his face, staring at him seriously. "I'm not fooling around ! XYZ monsters !? I only know Fusion monsters ! Where.." I almost choked while continuing to speak. I was, scared and lost. "W-where am I, Ai..?"
Ai didn't know what to answer, when he tried, the bell rang and we looked at the entrance to this school, the "XYZ" school, as I would call it for now.
