Discrimination

Summary:

Elliot is not having a good day. After all, it's not normal for a Robloxian to one day wake up as a Noob.

Good thing Mr. Builder knows what to do. (Kinda.)

Notes:

Idk what I'm doing at this point lmao

Chapter 1: Distressed

Chapter Text

One day, Elliot woke up different. Instead of his usual Robloxian 2.0 self, with his familiar look and fluffy hair, he found himself wiped and turned back into a 1.0 Robloxian. To make matters worse, his body was reverted to a Noob.

The very thing most Robloxians hated, due to their reputation as nuisances.

Elliot stared at himself for a long while, before, with a shaky sigh, he grabbed his work uniform. He still needed to do his job, despite the drastic changes done to himself.

He put on his uniform, before heading out, looking very unsure of himself today. After all, he was forced to be a Noob right now, so he didn't know what to do. At least his uniform made him slightly more recognizable.

He went to work as usual, praying that no one would figure out what happened and make his day even worse.

Unfortunately, a few hours into his shift, a customer figured out what happened and began harassing him. Elliot only forced himself to put on a smile as he got called all sorts of names, holding back tears.

Thankfully, Mr. Builder was also working that day as a manager, and heard everything. He went over to the customer and reprimanded them for their behavior, soon banning them from the restaurant. Then he glanced at Elliot, and paused.

The "Noob" seemed oddly familiar to him, and the behavior was only adding to it.

He approached Elliot, and Elliot instinctively flinched, expecting to also get scolded due to his new state. Instead, Mr. Builder put a hand on Elliot's shoulder, seemingly examining him up close.

Then he asked.

"Elliot? Is that you, my son?"

Elliot only nodded with a nervous smile, fidgeting with his paws(?!) absentmindedly. Then he realized, and glanced down at his paws.

He then had a panic attack. Everything was too much for him to fully process.

Mr. Builder wasted no time comforting his son, frowning. He needed to figure out a way to make Elliot back to normal, and quick, before Elliot had another panic attack.

Once Elliot calmed down, Mr. Builder set to work trying to help him feel better. First, he put Elliot on pizza making duty, to try and put as little stress on him as possible since him trying to be a cashier as usual didn't work out too well. It was early in the day, so that meant there weren't that many Robloxians at work yet, leaving Elliot with only one other coworker in the cooking room.

And thankfully, due to the Builder Brothers uniform, the coworker didn't seem to think much of his new state. A small blessing considering earlier.

Before he got to work, he adjusted his head fur a bit to feel like his usual hairstyle. It wasn't perfect, since fur was much harder to style than hair, but it was close enough and it helped Elliot feel more like himself.

Then he went to work making pizzas, a bit clumsily though due to not being used to his paws. It was understandably hard making a pizza when your hands are paws.

After a couple hours, the coworker seemed to notice that Elliot was in fact Elliot, due to his fur style and demeanor. They blinked, trying to think how exactly he ended up in this state, before ultimately shrugging and going back to work. They didn't want to bother him too much, since Mr. Builder said that he had a panic attack earlier.

They did decide to help him though, since he was still struggling with making a pizza properly due to his paws. They were gentle with guiding him, not wanting to stress him out.

And thankfully, thanks to their help, Elliot got the hang of making pizzas again in his new state. The pizzas he made as a Noob weren't perfect by any means, because of his paws and a distinct lack of a fourth digit, but they were good enough.

However, notably, Elliot blacked out a couple minutes later while making another pizza. The coworker instantly panicked for a bit, thinking the worst, before realizing he was just asleep and had overworked himself.

Noobs aren't built for working as hard as he does, so it made sense he ended up falling asleep from exhaustion.

The coworker then had a idea.

They made a little bed nest in the corner of the cooking room, setting it up with a couple pillows and blankets. It wasn't much, but it'll do the job and let Elliot rest whenever he overworks himself.

They gently picked him up, and put him in the nest, tucking him in. Notably, Elliot was hugging onto his own tail now as he rested.

They went to go tell Mr. Builder about all this.
