[LEO VALDEZ]
Leo woke up in bunker 9, on blueprints he had worked on yesterday night.
He looked at the watch he made a few weeks ago, it was 11 am, he had missed breakfast—not like he was going to eat, even if he had woken up before.
atleast he didn’t sleep in his binder, which he did a lot (unfortunately).
he grabbed a sports bra and a loose camp half blood shirt, planning on working on a new project, it was complex, but nothing he couldn’t figure out.
he was tinkering with a little automaton he had made a couple days ago when he heard a knock on the bunker door, he jumped from his chair in surprise and yelled “come in!”, the person walking into the bunker was taller than Leo, had blonde hair and electric blue eyes that were framed by glasses, he had soon realized it was Jason Grace, his best friend.
“oh, hi Jason!” Leo said cheerfully, why was he so excited for Jason to be here?
“hi Leo” Leo realized he looked a bit down.
“Is everything okay?”
“Piper and I broke up.” Jason sat down on a spinning chair
“oh, was it a mutual break up or?” Leo asked curiously
“mhm.” Jason nodded.
“do you.. wanna talk about it?” Jason stayed quiet and Leo had gotten the memo that he didn’t.
“well, I’ve gotta work on a project. You can stay here while I work if you want to, I could use some company” Leo smiled gently, trying to cheer Jason up, even a little.
“Sure.”
Leo had worked with other people in the room with him many times, but with Jason Grace it was weird. Why was it weird? He didn’t know.
Jason was his best friend, why did it feel so weird, then?
Leo looked to his right, Jason was looking at him working, why did Leo’s face suddenly feel warm and why did his heart start beating fast? Leo quickly averted his gaze back to his project. He could feel Jason’s eyes on him, looking at him working.
“Hey Leo?”
“Yeah?”
“What are you working on?”
“I told you, a project”
“Yeah but explain the project to me” Jason said, and suddenly Leo’s eyes widened, someone was asking him to explain what his project was about? That was.. new. It also felt nice, like something blooming in his heart.
“Do you really want to know?” Leo asked.
“Of course.”
Leo smiled and started explaining, not once had Jason’s eyes left his face, it was kinda weird but also nice, someone was actually listening ing to him, and they were interested in it! When Leo finished explaining, Jason’s was purely amusement.
“That’s.. a lot. You can do it, I know you can.” Jason stated, that made Leo blush a bit, why tho? Jason was just a friend.
“Thanks, Jace.” Jason smiled politely at Leo, Leo smiled back.
Jason looked at the time, “crap, I should probably go. Percy needed me for something.”
“Oh, yeah, okay.” Leo replied, he was a bit disappointed with the fact that Jason had to go, but it was okay.
“Have fun with Percy!”
“Thanks, Leo.”
And with that, Leo was left alone in the bunker, once again.
