Chapter Text
You wake up. You don’t know who or where you are. The unusual smell of Gatorade takes over your nostrils. As you look around the room you see FNaF posters everywhere. There is a sign that says, “The newcomers” above you. You hear a voice, “Oh! This one's already awake!” A strange, but pretty person walks up to you. “Hi! You must be very confused right now. I will be your guide! Just follow me!” As you get up, a strange weight fills your chest. As you look around something seems off… Everybody looks the same. Since your mind wandered off, you haven't even noticed that your guide was talking to you. “...and that’s the Minecraft Ashes! Do you understand now?” You nod even though you had no Idea what they were saying. “Ok great! Now over here is where you will pick your outfit. You walk into a tiny door which leads to the most enormous room you have ever seen. When you walk in you just stand there in shock. There are hundreds if not thousands of T-shirts lined up on the wall. “Now just pick one! We are kind of in a hurry right now, so please do it quickly!” You settle on 3 T-shirts but don't really know which one to pick.
Which one do you choose? (This choice does not matter and/or will maybe be mentioned later in the story)
A T-shirt that says, “I yearn for the mines”
A clap and a half T-shirt
A white T-shirt that just has the word "Ash” on it in urple.
“Nice choice!” Your guide says. By the way, I hadn’t introduced myself yet. My name is Ash 273, and yours is…” She stares at a piece of paper she just took out of their pocket.”... Ash 365978566546867989678578567!” We can shorten that if you want to. Anyway, we have to hurry to the bus station. Quick!” You follow Ash 273 and get on a bus. While the bus driver starts to drive you notice a billboard that’s promoting, “Sam and Ash law firm.” You felt like you’ve seen it before, but with different people on it. Ash 273 noticed you staring at the billboard. “Oh! That over there is one of original Ash’s billboards. It’s really cool to see in person, right!?” “Um… Who is the original Ash?” You ask. “There are about 5 original Ashes. Instead of being one type of ash like a Minecraft ash, or a FNaF Ash, they possess all the types. One of them has not been found yet though. It’s kind of hard to find them because they could be any Ash.” “So… Anybody here could be an original Ash?” “Well, not quite. Everyone has to get tested when they arrive! That’s why we are in such a rush!” The bus stops. “Ok, this is our stop!” Ash 273 says.
When you get down you see a big arena filled with thousands of Ashes. “An Ash with a black suit and tie walks up to you and Ash 273. “Hello Ash 273. May I take Ash… I'm not reading that number from you?” Ash 273 says “Yes you may!” You start following the Ash. “Hello there, my name is Secureashley (pronounced like security). I need to take you to the stage.” “That stage right there? The big one?” Yes. It is mandatory that all new Ashes get tested when they arrive.” They start walking with an accelerated speed and you run a little to catch up.
Filled with confusion, there are an infinite amount of questions in your mind, but you seem to scrap up one that answers a majority of them. “What is this place?” There is a long silence ending with a sigh, “This, no matter how magical it may seem, is prison… One to me at least. You go up on that stage and let the matpats decide your destiny… They choose from an array of "Opportunities" such as FNaF ash, Minecraft ash, Secureashley, but once in a blue moon there is a shout. One that grants an Ash with all the freedom they desire, being one of the five original Ashes. There is no way for the public to know whether one is an original ash until they get up on stage. Rumor has it, one of the original Ashes will be shouted out today. I wish luck for them, they’ll work them to death.” “Wha- what happens to the original Ashes?” There is a tremble in your voice, one that cannot be mistaken for anything but fear. “They say you get freedom, but they’ll work you in front of a camera until you fall.” An awkward silence arose until suddenly stopped, “Climb up the stage.” “No stairs?” “Who needs them?” You lift yourself up on the stage and see 50 ashes standing up with you. Millions now crowd the arena ecstatic to see who will be assigned the Ash roles. You don’t know how you know their names but somehow you see Amys, Matpats, Fishers, Lees, and many, many more theorists. Along with the occasional Sam.
A man walks up on stage, one who is most definitely a well-respected Matpat. Beside him is a woman, Stephanie. They start up the ceremony. “Theorists, we have gathered here today to honor our fellow batches of Ashes. May we hope one will be the chosen!” Cheers fill the stadium and you somehow end up joining. Confused at the whole situation, you don't seem to notice them calling your number up first. “Come up! Come up! Let us see who you may be!” The loud cheers of millions startle you. You slowly walk down the rows and rows of Ashes to meet your fate, your destiny. The large lump in your throat and heavy in your chest come back. You're afraid that you will get a fate you don’t seek. A magic letter appears out of his hand. As he opens it up, he steps back. The fear and happiness in his eyes seems impossible.
