Work Text:
It had been 2 hours since the elimination.
Isabel sighed, shifting positions and groaning a little, trying to fall asleep. Ever since the last 2 challenges and the "Wicked" allegation, she was feeling super little. She had been trying to push it back for a while now, but maybe now she could try and regress. Although, if she regressed right here she would surely wake someone up, and if she regressed somewhere else Jade would go looking for her, except she didn't want Jade to see her like this.
She had regressed around Jade once, back before Natalia was eliminated, and even though it felt relieving she felt.. Weak. Pathetic, as some might say. She hated it. She was supposed to be this graceful nun who cared for little children, not the little children herself!
Plus, she didn't want to waste Jade's time or stress her out. If she did, she would never forgive herself. For now, she just had to hold it in like the adult she is, and wait till she gets off the show.
... She knew she wouldn't be able to hold in her regression until she got off the show. She knew she would slip eventually! She just had to... keep quiet. Try not to trigger it. But... God, she wanted to regress so bad! She whined, pulling at the ends of her robes, before she heard shifting from the patch of grass next to her. Shit.
Jade rolled over, sitting up and rubbing her eyes before looking down at Isabel.
"Isa... Why aren't you asleep?"
Isabel felt herself sweat a bit, before smiling at her.
"O-oh, you see.. I'm just strategizing! Nothing more, nothing less..."
Jade gave her a 'not-convinced' look, so she winced a bit before fake-yawning.
"Hahah! W-wow, I sure am tired from all that intense strategizing! I should go to bed now! Mhm! Goodnigh-" Jade suddenly pulled her closer, looking at her then getting up.
"You have something you want to tell me, don't you?"
She hated how that girl could read her like a book.
Isabel slowly got up, looking at her nervously.
"L-like what?"
Jade sighed, pinching her nose. "You're obviously stressed. You need to take a break."
Isabel mumbled something under her breath, before sighing.
"W-well.. Yeah.. I've gotta admit I just... I just feel weally-" Isabel stopped herself mid-sentence as she slipped up. SHIT! She looked at Jade, hoping she wouldn't catch on.
Jade sighed once again, picking up Isabel. "Let's go somewhere.. quieter."
Isabel whimpered. "N-no no, it-it's fine. I wanna s-s-stay here!"
Jade shook her head, before patting Isabel's back. "You need this, Isa."
Isabel felt tears prick her eyes, as she started wriggling in her grasp.
"L-let me out!"
Jade sighed, placing Isabel down where no one or cameras would find them.
"It's okay to tell- or show me how you feel. I wouldn't mind."
Despite Isabel's poutiness, she hesitantly hugged Jade, eventually melting into her embrace and sobbing her heart out.
"Z-Zaid was being really mean a-and so was Anastasia and Natalia left me and- and.. I just wanna go hooome!"
Jade rubbed her back, saying little "it's okay's" and "i'm here's" as Isabel cried, making sure her baby knew that she loved her.
Isabel hiccuped and sobbed, yet Jade didn't mind. She didn't mind being a caretaker, really. Isabel was really special to her, and if it meant being her caregiver for a little while, then so be it. She wanted to make sure her best friend was OK, and even if she wasn't, she'd comfort her as much as she possibly could.
Isabel's tears started to dampen down, as she put her thumb into her mouth and laid on her caregiver. Jade knew that was unhealthy for her, but she also knew Isabel would start crying again if she made her take it out of her mouth, so she just had to compromise.
"Hey.. Isa..."
Isabel looked up at Jade, before looking at her.
Jade pointed at the sky. "Aren't the stars pretty?"
Isabel looked where she pointed, nodding a little. "Mmm.. Yeah..."
Jade smiled. "You know, Isabel, you're like a star. You shine bright and you are indeed pretty.. Hehe." She booped Isabel's nose, to which she giggled at before yawning.
"Mmm.. Is someone tired?" Isabel nodded, before laying on her lap. She practically instantly fell asleep, if it wasn't for her eyes trying to stay open, but Jade's job was done. Jade laid on the grass, smiling a little, before feeling herself slowly drift into a deep slumber.
Anastasia woke up at 6AM, and walked towards the normal spot she goes to to think, and instead spotted Isabel. She was going to yell at her but instead saw Jade with her, and them sleeping together with her thumb in her mouth. She wanted to make fun of her, but deep inside she didn't want to disturb her, so she just walked away. She hoped they had a good sleep, though.
