Penelope Li wanted to kill Percy Jackson
She was having a great life at wilderness school with Piper and Leo until her birthday arrived and she went back home only to right after go to camp half-blood.
okay sure, that part wasnt his fault, at camp everything was fine she was claimed during campfire activities while she slept.
Aparently her dad was hypnos, cool, she hung out with her siblings(sleeping at the cabin) and trained sometimes and was having a good life with new friends.
Until Percy disappeared, everyone was worried and everyone did all they could to look for him and she even helped! But she was getting tired of every day not finding any clues
And she could see Annabeth was too.
Today she had woken up extra early and went with Annabeth and Butch to search for percy, something about a dream that Annabeth had
She saw it, she was jumping from dream to dream of the people from camp half-blood and saw the end of it
She couldnt remember much of it now but she was sure it was something important related to Percy.
Even thought she looked like she'd rather be in any other place(she did) she was actually really anxious and excited, they were finally getting close to finding Percy back and then everything would go back to normal at camp!
Right?
In the moment she was trembling in her pajamas as the wind hit her face, usually she would tie her long black hair but she didnt bring a hairtie
She was going to ask annabeth for one but chose not to, Annabeth was way too involved in her own overthinking
Butch definitely didnt have a hairtie
So penelope just sat in a corner and closed her eyes.
When she opened them back again she was inside a cage, she looked around nervously
She tried to scream but her throat was shut close
That was weird, usually she had full control over her dreams
Then she saw her
She had dark hair with a black Widow dress and she had scary eyes
Penelope couldnt figure out if the woman was inside the cage with her, outside of the cage or if penelope was the one outside of the cage
The woman slowly looked up at her
A chill ran down her spine, she was completely frozen in place, she wanted to call for help, to look around for a sign of Annabeth or Butch or even the small gesture that was closing her eyes
But she couldnt
As soon as the woman opened her mouth to say something, penelope woke up
She only heard a brief "pe-" being spoken before jumping up.
She couldnt breath properly, her chest felt heavy and her heart was hammering against her chest
She quickly gripped Annabeth's hand, whom quickly looked at her in surprise
"Nightmare?"
Was it a nightmare? Penelope didnt know
It felt real
The chills down her spine, the cold bars of the cell and the wind that made her tremble and want to cry
Or was it a vision?
Penelope always struggled with them
As Annabeth went closer to her, her breaths got more controlled and she started feeling like she could move again
She quickly wrapped her arms around Annabeth, neither of them said anything for a long minute, her still trembling, because of fear or the cold, it didnt matter, Annabeth didnt question anything, like she understood her, like they had a whole conversation in that silence
Butch looked at them but decided not to say anything, he wasnt close enough to Penelope to know how to comfort her
When they separated again penelope felt hollow and started trembling again, the cold inside her was too much, and it didnt help that the wind was so strong today.
She heard some people down and looked out the chariot to see...
LEO AND PIPER????
Oh and some random blonde dude
She jumped out of the chariot almost imediatelly, but before she could say anything Piper and Leo jumped on her
As the three of them fell to the ground laughing together she felt a warmth inside her as she giggled
"where were you Penny?"
She heard piper saying as she got up and lended a hand to penelope
"We tried calling you and even writing you letters but your mom was the only who responded!"
Leo said still gripping her like his life depended on it
"I went to a summer camp where phones arent allowed."
Kind of, well it wasnt completely a lie but she would wait for Annabeth and Butch to explain the whole demi-god thing to them
Right now she just wanted to spend time with them, joking about stupid things and having laughing fits until they were wheezing with tears in their eyes
But she knew she couldnt
She quickly got up, her hair hitting both of them in the face in the process
She helped them up and went to Annabeth and Butch who were talking to the blonde dude, probably something about the fight that obviously had happened there or about Percy
wait, she had been so focused on her friends she almost forgot about percy, where was he?
"Annabeth is fine, give her a rest, she had a vision that she should come here, find a guy with only one shoe. And that would be the answer to her problem."
They heard Butch saying as they went closer to them, Leo still clinging to her side and Piper holding her arm tightly
"What problem?" Piper asked
Butch turned to them, just now realizing they've been there "she's looking for one of her campers, he's been gone for three days" butch answered to her
"She's crazy worried, and thought that she would find him here"
Hearing this i also got disappointed, sure, i've only know percy for some months but he was also my friend
"Who?" The blonde guy asked
"Her boyfriend, some guy named Percy Jackson"
