Chapter Text
I awoke to the blaring sound of my alarm. ‘It's too early…; I think as I blink the blurriness away, I turn off the alarm. Looking around my All Might themed room, I notice that there is a light at the bottom of the door. Meaning that Mom was awake. I could hear whispers, most likely between momma and papa. The more I listened, the more I could hear that they were arguing. It was getting louder.
I slowly and quietly got up to get ready for school. I jump off my bed and start to get ready for elementary school. Today's my first day of first grade! I walk quietly to the closet and start getting ready. Once I finished, I could hear moms footsteps coming down the hallway. I start walking, making my footsteps heard and letting her know that I am awake. She opens the door, quietly. I walk up to her.
“Morning, Momma!! I got ready all by myself!!” I yell.
“That's great sweetie!! Let's get you fed.” Momma responded.
Momma starts walking back towards the kitchen. I follow right behind her. We make our way to the kitchen and I see papa is already sitting at the table. I walk over to sit next to him.
“Morning, Papa!” I greet.
“Morning, my little firebird.” He greets back.
I grin happily at him. I love my nickname that papa gave me. We eat breakfast together and I talk about how many friends I am going to make. They seem excited for me too! Soon enough it is time to go to school. I run to the front door and start getting my shoes on. Papa chuckles and Momma smiles at my antics. They get their shoes on too, but are way too slow!! As soon as Momma has her shoes on she grabs my hand and opens the door. I say goodbye to papa as he starts his way to work.
I babble on and on about what school is going to be like. After a few minutes, we make it to the front of the school. We stop walking and Momma is crouching down.
“Have a great day, ok?” She asks.
“I’ll have an amazing day!!” I say back.
She laughs, “I know you will.” She replies.
She hugs me and turns, starting to walk away. I turn towards the school and walk inside.
