Work Text:

Clownpierce always held pride in his ability to fight, the deadliest minecraft player, they'd call him.

Branzy stared at the fainted Clownpierce on the floor, blood pooling beneath his leg. Now, Branzy isn't the type to jump to conclusions but he thinks Clown fainted due to blood loss.

He knelt down and flipped him over, simultaneously grabbing Clown’s wrist to check his pulse.

Okay, Branzy… You're a professional at this—if joining the first aid club in middle school counts as being a professional—, what do you do now?
Oh you idiot, obviously you patch up the stab wound in his thigh.

Branzy placed a hand on Clowns’s knees and another on his back, then lifted him up. Clownpierce wasn't muscular like the average fighter, he was skinnier than the average person, but that doesn't mean he isn't strong. He probably has fast metabolism, Branzy would be surprised if he isn't, Clown is quite a big eater.

Branzy placed Clown down on the couch before running off to get the first-aid kit. This isn't the first time Branzy has had to patch up Clown after a battle, it's just the first time he has found Clown while he's… unconscious.

He returned to the couch to find the still unconscious Clownpierce. He looked peaceful in his sleep, but Branzy shook that thought off. There are more important matters to deal with than Clown looking peaceful while unconscious.

First off, Branzy placed a towel under Clown’s bleeding leg in an attempt to save the couch from getting drenched in blood, but his efforts were futile as Clown had already bled all over the cushion before he got back with the first-aid kit. He'll just flip the cushion later, it'll be fine. The circus already reeked of blood everywhere anyway, Branzy had grown used to the scent of blood.

Branzy rolled his pant leg up, inspecting the wound for a while before grabbing a cloth from the first-aid kit and running to the bathroom. He filled the bucket half full with water and carried it back to the couch. He wet the cloth and squeezed the excess water out, patting the stab wound and tried his best to remove the dirt and debris in it.

When it seemed clean enough, Branzy applied antibiotic cream to the wound thoroughly. He then wrapped it tightly with bandages. Branzy had nearly the entire roll of bandages wrapping the wound but nevermind that, he had to check for any other injuries.

Branzy pulled Clown’s pant leg back down and moved on to checking his other limbs. Most of the blood was other people's, which relieved Branzy, but before he put away the first-aid kit, he noticed a stream of blood dripping from Clown’s head.

Oh, he hopes Clown doesn't kill him for doing this without his permission. (Clown would never, but the chances are never zero.)

Branzy turned the valves on the canisters strapped on Clown’s belt, screwing them shut before reaching behind his head to unbuckle the strap for Clown’s mask. He exhaled a deep breath before taking Clown's mask off and placing it to the side.

You just took off Clown's mask while he's unconscious, stay cool… The scar that spread across Clown’s entire face made Branzy scrunch his nose. He pulled Clown’s jester hat off and used water to temporarily push Clown’s hair up to make sure it didn't irritate the wound.

Branzy grabbed a new cloth and dipped it into the bucket of water, wiping away all the blood on Clowns's face and patting the scar on his forehead to clean it. It didn't seem like a cut, more like something caused by blunt force, a laceration wound. He can't tell whether it was from the fight or when Clown face planted on the floor.

Branzy did the usual applying antibiotic and placing a bandage on it.

He was about to place Clown's mask back on when he began to wake up.

Oh shit.

“what?” Clown blinked his eyes open and raised a hand to touch the bandage on his head. It took a moment for him to register the fact that his mask was off. Clownpierce panicked, sitting up and getting hit by a wave of dizziness. Half because of the injury and half because of how weirdly clean the air was.

“I needed to take it off to treat the wound on your head!” Branzy stammered, raising his hands beside his head.

Clown squinted at Branzy, just staring in silence before he hummed. “oh.” and fell back down on the couch, groaning.

“Mmm, makes sense.” he grumbled. Branzy let out a sigh of relief that Clown didn't slaughter him on the spot for taking off his mask.

While Branzy was putting everything he had thrown out of the first-aid kit in a panic, he mindlessly said “You never told me that's inside those canisters, I'm curious.”.

Clown turned his gaze from the ceiling to Branzy, raising an eyebrow.

“Sorry, is that personal?” Branzy stumbled over his words, shaking his head.

“Noo, no…” Clownpierce giggled childishly. “You know how I'm a netherborne right?” He hummed.

“Yeah… I think you've mentioned that before.” Branzy replied.

“I grew up in the Nether and grew used to the air around there.” Clown picked up his mask and strapped it back around his head, unscrewing the valves and taking in a deep breath of… dust and toxic gas, apparently.

“That's really interesting…” Branzy simply kicked the first-aid kit away and sat on the couch, stretching his back. He'll put away the first-aid kit later.

“What time is it?” Clown asked as he sat upright.

“I dunno… It's late… We should go to bed.” Thinking about the time, Branzy yawned silently, turning his head away from Clown.

He tried to stand up, but Clown placed a hand on his chest, pushing him back down. “Yeah.” Clown shifted his position to the side and laid his head on Branzy’s lap.

Branzy yelped, his face flushed a light shade of pink.

“Yyeah…” Branzy said breathily, placing a hand in Clown’s hair and twirling a few strands. He wonders how Clown maintains his hair so well despite the fact that he's only seen him use 3 in 1 body wash, shampoo and conditional.

Clown seemed to be fast asleep already, or maybe he's just contemplating his life desicions. His hand playing with Clown's hair slowed as he drifted away to sleep.

“G’night, Clown…” He mumbled as he leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes.

He could live like this.

Notes:

1. Clown is experienced with patching himself up but makes Branzy do it for him anyway
2. Clownpierce is fine without his mask, but he's so used to the Nether air he used his mask as a reverse gas mask to pollute the air for him.
3. Clownpierce is never expressive with his facial expressions because of how much he wears the back (his neutral expression is frowning) but he likes to keep a smug face to piss people off (Im projecting)
4. Branzy doesn't usually pay attention to people's body language or appearance/facial expression unless the situation calls for it
^ I tried to make this limited 3rd person pov but I'm better at omniscient did I do good though
^ That's why there isn't much about Clown's facial expressions or body language except the obvious ones because Branzy wasn't paying attention.

I live for comments please comment I'm begging
