Razzle and Dazzle sit on the beanbag their room; holding the gift box rather shakily. Dazzle’s pessimism had made it difficult to get any courage. Razzle usually had the ability to encourage him. Dazzle’s face was scrunched, a large frown creasing their lips.
“Come on Dazzle, he’ll never get the gift if you keep moping around!”
(But what if he doesn’t like it?)
Dazzle felt his cheeks heat up as he held the gift tighter. Negative thoughts consuming his mind. What if Astro didn’t like it? Is it too sloppy? Dazzle did rush a little near the end…What if it fell apart? Was the color bad? What if-
“We’ll never know if you don’t give it!” Razzle’s optimistic voice cut through Dazzle’s cluttered mind.
Dazzle took a deep breath and sighed.
(Okay..)
Razzle and Dazzle got up and walked out their room. Gently closing the door behind them. They slowly made their way to the elevator. They needed to go to the library. That’s where they planned to meet up with Astro.
Razzle sighed happily, a large smile on his face. He could barely contain his excitement.
“Oh Dazzle, aren’t you excited?! I can’t wait to see the look on Astro’s face when he gets it!”
(…mhm) Dazzle mumbled a halfhearted response.
Once they reached the library they walked to the area where the book club was usually held.
And there he was. Astro was quietly reading, his eyes were soft and relaxed.
Dazzle felt his heart beat faster once his eyes landed on Astro. A soft smile spread across his.
“He gets you smiling pretty quickly, huh?” Razzle couldn’t help but tease a bit.
(…No comment.) Dazzle replied, his face a deeper shade of red than before. Razzle snickered at him, the noise alerted Astro of their presence.
Astro carefully put his book down as he turned his head to them.
“Hello..” Astro’s voice was soft, it was like he was trying to put someone to sleep while talking to them.
“Hey!!”

Astro’s eyes landed on the gift box. His eyes widen a bit.
“Is that..for me?”
Dazzle nodded gently, they handed the box to Astro.
“It’s one from each of us!”

Astro slowly opens the box; inside there was a small bouquet of lilacs and blue delphinium. But that wasn’t the only surprise! Underneath the flowers was a cloth of some sort, Astro lifted the bouquet with his magic and unveiled the cloth. It was new blanket, sewn with cotton. It had a simple but cute star pattern. Astro gasped at the gifts. His heart raced as he stared at them.
“You..did all this..?”
“Well we got a little help from Shelly but yeah!”
(Do you like it..?)
“Of course! More than like…I love it.” Astro smiled as he used his magic to hold it up to his face.
“It’s so soft..” He murmured as he folded the blanket. Placing it back in the box with the flowers. The blue moon stood up and moved over to them.
Dazzle fidgeted, on closer inspection Astro noticed all the bandages on their hands.
“Oh dear..” Astro said rather quietly, a look of worry on his face
“Don’t worry about it! It was just a few pricks.”
Razzle laughed nervously, trying to keep Astro from worrying.
Astro took their hand and looked at it closely. The conjoined twins’ body shivered. Astro’s magic had a rather nice feel to it. It was cold and soothing, like a popsicle on a hot summer day.
Astro gently kissed their hands, his fingers brushing over the bandages.
“You truly didn’t have to go through so much trouble to make me happy…”
“If it means you’re smiling us, we’d do anything. Even if it means getting hurt a little in the process!!”
Astro felt his face turn a deeper shade of blue when they responded.
“Oh..well, just be more careful I suppose..?” Astro replied bashfully. Razzle smiled warmly before leaning in and kissing Astro on the cheek.
(We promise…)
Dazzle was mainly referring to himself rather than both of them. Razzle often got tunnel vision when it came to Astro.
“Okay that’s good.” The blue moon exhaled in relief. He really didn’t want them to work too hard to make him happy; but he knew they probably wouldn’t. Astro glanced down at their mouths. He wasn’t really sure if he should jump the gun just yet.
He slowly leaned closer to Razzle first, he technically had already given a kiss. But a kiss on the cheek and on the lips were two distinct things.
Razzle could feel Astro’s breath against his, he really wanted to close the gap but he waited.
“May I..?” Astro whispered, the white comedy mask nodded eagerly.
Astro closed the gap, it was a bit awkward at first but the two got the hang of it eventually. The kiss was short and delicate. The blue moon looked into Razzle’s eyes when he pulled away. They were softer and filled with longing. It made Astro want to kiss him again. But he couldn’t give all his attention to Razzle! Astro turned to Dazzle; he was already blushing. The blue moon smiled reassuringly, he knew Dazzle was a bit more anxious than his twin. "I can just kiss your cheeks if you'd like..?" Astro inquired, he waited patiently for a response. (....That's fine.) Dazzle mumbled, he was a bit disappointed in himself for not being able to muster the courage to kiss Astro on the lips. He'll try for sure, someday. Astro kissed Dazzle's cheeks and forehead, the brush of his lips felt like feathers against his face. He pulled away, a small yawn emitting from his mouth. "I should probably take a nap. I plan on going on a run with a few others later...perhaps you would like to join me?" "Yes of course!" (...especially if you'll be there.) "Perfect, I'll see you then." R&D waved goodbye before making their way back to the elevator. In the elevator, Razzle couldn't contain his happiness, he was practically on cloud nine. "I told you he'd like the gifts!" (...I suppose you were right.) "I wonder what we should get him next!" (Well...Easter is coming up, maybe we could make him some chocolates..?) "Ooh! Good idea, we should ask Cosmo and Sprout to help shape them into little stars!" (That sounds nice...) The twins chatted more as they went on with their day. Meanwhile, Astro had made himself comfortable in one of the bean bags in the library; gently wrapping himself in the new blanket he was given. A huge smile spread across his face as he began to close his eyes. He hadn't felt at ease in such a long time. Especially after, well everything that happened with Gardenview. But moments like this, they truly made him feel better. They made him feel like things could be normal again.
