`It’s supposed to be a normal treasure hunt!` he said.. `No poppin jays will get in my way!!` he said.. Hook didn’t expect his day being ruined by monkeys stealing his hat to then getting chased by the crocodile to now coming out of the pool with-
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Hook screamed as he looked at his hand in shock where his hook used to be at. He was expecting his hook to still be here but nope! The now 20yr old is looking at his missing hand that was where his hook used to be screaming in utter fear as to what happened. “MY HOOK IS GONE!!!!”
His crew & Skully just looked in utter shock at the scene before them. They were now looking at a small toddler crocodile, a 3yr Izzy, a 4yr old Jake, and an infant Cubby..
“Crackers.. I was expecting them to all be infants but nope! Proven wrong.” Skully admitted as he flew over to inspect Hook & his crew before Jake immediately grabbed Skully.
“Birdie!!” The boy happily cheered as he held Skully to face him but the boy then looked confused “Why are you green but your tail is different colors?”
“Jake, you know that I was born like this.” Skully told the child who then dropped him in shock.
“It knows my name!!!” Jake shrieked as he ran & hugged Smee’s leg. “How does it know my name?!”
“Do you not remember me?” Skully questioned a bit confused before he squawked in pain as Cubby pulled on his tail. “Cubby!! Let go!!” Luckily someone in the form of Izzy decided to pick up Cubby but he still wouldn’t let go of Skully at all. Shark decided to go over to a rock with writing to see what it has to say to better understand this situation.
“Cubby!! Let go! It could have diseases!!” Izzy told the infant who seemed to have a grip on the bird’s tail, but when Izzy decided to turn Cubby upside down, Bones stepped in & took Cubby from Izzy’s grasp. “HEY!! He’s the baby my daddies helped his mommies make! Let him go!!!”
Bones looked over at Smee for help who was trying to get Jake off of his leg. “Umm.. Izzy, we have dealt with babies before & it’s a very bad idea to hold them upside down.” Bones told Izzy as he held Cubby comfortably & it seemed to make Cubby let go of Skully who was luckily saved by Smee who caught him.
“I almost forgot that these two poppin jays came to the island around this age.” Hook muttered which gave him a dirty look from Izzy. “It’s true. A long story but true.”
“I think I know why you’re all different ages!! It says here that `those who have taken a dip won’t immediately turn into babies but the youngest of a group will. In order to turn back, the pollen of the Grandfather Gladiola plant will set things right. Those in the younger ages will not remember anything before they were turned.` which explains why Jake, Izzy, & Cubby don’t remember us at all-” Sharky explained before Jake spoke up.
“But I know you uncle Shark! I don’t know them!” Jake pointed at Izzy & Cubby which made Izzy cross her arms.
“I’ll have you know that my daddies taught me how to fight! I can take you on!” Izzy exclaimed & Jake nodded
“I know you can take me on, I was taught that girls & women are & forever will be stronger than men. And that men need to shut up about women being weak since it’s a lie that will never be true!” Jake explained as he stood up & raised his head up a bit as if he was trying to remember what he was told.
“But why have they turned these ages?” Bones questioned a bit confused as he just swayed & did a small bounce to keep Cubby calm.
“It doesn’t fully say on the rock but maybe it’s due to the order they fell in & how long they were in?” Sharky answered a bit confused trying to think of a possible answer.
“Ok, first things first, where is this Grandfather Gladiola located in? Because I can’t remain 20 forever!” Hook took charge once he fully comprehended that he now has two hands again.
“Floral Forest, I remember being told about it as a wee little lad in stories from my father.” Smee replied
“You have a dad, Uncle Smee?” Jake questioned which made Skully burst out laughing, Hook covering his mouth to prevent laughing, and both Sharky & Bones starting to snicker which made Jake confused. “What? He never shared stories about his daddy!!”
“Yes, I have a dad but not all of the stories I have are good.” Smee told Jake who just smiled & hugged Smee.
“Where’s Cubby’s map?” Sharky asked which made the adult crew & Skully look around.
“Cubby doesn’t have a map, he’s a baby for petesake!” Izzy stated like she just met a group of dumb adults.
“Peter has a sake?” Jake asked a bit confused since he never heard that phrase before at all.
“Who’s Peter?!” Izzy questioned as she looked at Jake like he was a crazy child.
“There it is!” Hook exclaimed as he pointed to the Tick Tock croc who was chewing on it like it was a chew toy. “The crocodile has it..” Hook deadpanned realizing that the creature who wants him dead is chewing on a map.. The good news is that the crocodile is basically a child crocodile, the bad news is that the crocodile is basically a child crocodile.
Sharky went over to Tick Tock & grabbed the map, the two started to tug back & fourth when Tick Tock tugged back not wanting to let go of his new toy. “C’mon ol- I mean lil tick tock.. We just need this map to turn you back to normal..” Sharky muttered as he tried to get the map.
“How do we get him to let go?!” Hook complained since he doesn’t want to be used as bait again.
“Tick Tock likes to chew on something, what if we find him a stick or a bone or something?” Skully suggested which the adults all agreed with.
“Great idea Skully! But we don’t know where we can find a bone.” Smee replied but like always, Jake got an idea.
“We can give the croccy a fish!!” Jake quipped as he jumped up & down tugging on Smee’s shirt like he thought of the greatest idea ever. “Can I come to go get the fish? Please please please!!!”
“I can go fly & grab one real quick! We don’t know how much time we have, I’ll be right back.” Skully quickly flew off which made Jake a bit sad.
“Awwww…”
“It’s ok Jake, you can help out in other ways since Izzy doesn’t know much about Neverland.” Smee comforted Jake as he placed a hand on Jake's shoulder to comfort him.
“Ok..” Jake looked down a bit. Skully soon returned with the fish which seemed to do the trick as Tick Tock immediately let go of the map to eat the small fish that Skully brought him.
“Thank you Skully & great idea Jake!” Sharky spoke up before opening the undamaged map which had just drool on it. “Ok, looks like we just need to head through Petal Path & then through Gladiola Gully to get to the Grandfather Gladiola.”
“Why did you sound like the map from Dora the Explora? I was told that television doesn’t exist on islands.” Izzy questioned as she looked up at Sharky which confused everyone.
“I have no idea..” Sharky questioned. They knew that this day was gonna be a long day..
As the crews made it to Petal Path, Cubby was getting antsy from being held so they all decided to take a break & let the group rest up for a bit. Hook decided to sit down on a log to which he started to get questioned by Izzy.
“Why are you dressed like Captain Hook from the books & plays?” “If you’re Hook, where's your hook?” “Why did you scream earlier?” “Why do you keep your hair long?” These questions were really making Hook question himself. He has never met a child asking so many questions like how Izzy was doing to him.
Bones decided to help Cubby try to crawl, so he sat Cubby in the right position, walked a few steps in front of Cubby, & by the time he turned around Cubby started to crawl very fast away from Bones. “CUBBY!!!!” Bones shrieked as he ran after Cubby who got on a leaf which lifted him high up into a flower making the toddler giggle in enjoyment.
“The baby’s gonna die!!” Jake yelled as he ran over with Tick Tock by his side & he looked up at Cubby. Sharky & Bones tried their best to grab Cubby but it wasn’t good enough especially how Cubby started to crawl to other flowers.
“Izzy, this is an emergency. You see the pouch around your neck? It has pixie dust in it-” Skully rapidly explained to Izzy who immediately opened the pouch & started to shake it, getting Pixie Dust on everyone making them all fly. “That’s one way to use it..”
Sharky & Bones went after Cubby who was crawling from flower to flower but Izzy decided to fly around crazy making Hook & Smee having to chase her. Jake just hugged Tick Tock a bit cautious since he started to feel really scared from Izzy’s chaotic nature & Cubby crawling around on top of plants carelessly. However he saw Sharky & Bones struggling to grab Cubby so Jake zoomed by, shifted Tick Tock to his left arm, & he grabbed Cubby in the nick of time before Cubby fell off a plant. Hook managed to grab Izzy & the groups all met back together with them on a hill leading down towards.
Jake then placed Cubby down who crawled towards the path to then immediately slide down it with Izzy, Jake, & Tick Tock following in pursuit. The adults all groaned but they all got on the makeshift slide & followed the kids which then caused them to smile & laugh from how much fun the slide was.. That was until the kids quickly moved out of the way & the adults crashed into the very plant that they were looking for.
“Oh you kids are so cheeky!!” Hook exclaimed as he looked at the kids with a smile. Jake & Izzy were giggling, Cubby was doing a bubbly laugh, & Tick Tock was just wagging his tail not knowing what they were doing but he was happy to be there.
“Well at least they’re having a good time that all that matters.” Smee admitted as the men all got up from the ground, looking at the big Grandfather Gladiola trying to figure out how to get its pollen.
“Hey Izzy, may we please borrow your pouch? We need it to hold the pollen in it.” Hook asked Izzy as he crouched down to her eye level.
“Hmmm.. No!” The toddler exclaimed, making her hold the pouch close to her chest.
“Really? Darn!” Hook replied in a gentle yet sweet tone but he sounded a bit surprised. “I was gonna let you ask me all of the questions you want to me & I’ll answer them if you give me your pouch! Usually you’re so kind but I guess we’re gonna have to figure out another way-” Izzy then threw her pouch at Hook who quickly caught it & gave it to Bones who went to go put the pollen into it. “Alright Izzy.” Hook responded as he looked at the girl “What’s your first question?” This made Izzy’s face lit up with joy. Skully was in disbelief that what Hook just did worked & that he’s keeping up his end of the deal, maybe Hook has a soft spot for the kids after all.
“Got the pollen! Now to head back to where the sea pups’ picnic was at!” Bones exclaimed with joy, making Smee, Sharky, Hook, & Skully go wide-eyed when realizing they have to make the whole journey back..
They all soon made it back to the picnic blanket that was left on the beach with their picnic basket. The adults were exhausted but they just can’t wait for this to be all over & for the kids to be turned back. Smee held the pouch ready while Hook held Cubby & Tick Tock Croc in his arms to keep them together with the group. Jake & Izzy remained by his side wondering what in the world was going on, but before Izzy could ask one last question Smee sprinkled the pollen onto them turning them all back to normal but Tick Tock growing back to normal caused Hook to drop Cubby & to fall backwards. This spooked the crocodile who immediately ran off in shock as to what happened & why he was in his enemy’s arm.
“What happened?” Izzy asked a bit confused when looking at the relieved faces of Hook’s crew & Skully.
“It’s a long story, but to say the least I think Hook is glad to have his Hook back.” Skully explained as Hook just held his hook up in victory as he laid on his back making his crew & Skully laugh leaving Jake, Izzy, & Cubby confused.
“Anyways, wanna join us on our picnic? We packed a lot of fruits!” Jake happily asked as he held up the picnic basket which looked to be a bit heavy.
“I thought you never asked!” Sharky replied & they all sat down on the blanket & started to enjoy the food the kids brought but that’s when Cubby asked.
“Where’s Skully’s crackers?”
“Finally you spoke!!” Hook exclaimed, making Cubby even more confused as to what happened. “You were a quiet baby.”
“He was a quiet what?!”
“Izzy, you ask too much.”
