Summary:

After all the shenanigans at the academy, Drayton gets under Kieran’s skin. It drags on for weeks with no end in sight. He keeps pushing and pushing until he starts crossing the line, not realizing that something is beginning to grow inside him. And it only gets worse. It spirals into chaos, where both of them end up getting hurt.

Notes:

Since I've already written some fanfics how Kieran and Drayton act as a couple, I finally, finally need to write down how they become a couple. And let me tell you... this is a fucking ride with a roller coaster. Unfortunately English isn't my first language but I try my best to keep the drama as dramatic as possible!

Another note: The number of chapters aren't final! They can change. I already have the full fanfic in my head but the pacing isn't set in stone yet!

Chapter 1: Why is he so annoying?

Chapter Text

Finally, daily life is back on track. At least school life at the Blueberry Academy feels normal. So many things happened to him he is just yearning for the everyday life.
He takes a deep breath, holds in for a while and exhales. He already apologized to everyone, got a bigger family and now he has all the time in the world to make the most of it. It has to be relaxing now. He just have to open the door and...
The pile of love letters still keep appearing in front of his dorm room. Some of them are destroyed just to eliminate the competition. He wouldn't read one of them anyway an throws them into a bin with a sigh. Since his supernatural secret got revealed, people would go crazy over him. A lot of people still see him the wrong way because his behavior made him seem quite unstable. And he doesn't want to find out who among them is into that. After getting rid of all love letters, he finally manages to lock his door and head out.

He doesn't think about love at all. It only irritates him. Carmine, too, gets on his nerves, because she's so eager to have plenty of admirers. She would be the first one to snap and lose her temper, and she would probably take it all out on him, even if their relationship has grown a little better.

As he continues walking past the rooms, he hopes that a certain door won't...
And unfortunately it opens. First, a bright white strand of hair comes to view, accented by a thin blue-violet streak followed by the rest of his body.

"Good morning, Ex-champion!"
"Ugh, shut up!"
"Well that's not a very friendly greeting."
"Seein' your face in the mornin' isn't exactly a friendly greetin' either!"

Apparently, he still can't get any peace. He should have realized that already from the letters. Does he really have to keep running into that idiot by chance?

"That's not very nice of ya!" The clown sounds theatrically disappointed, enunciating his words in an overly deliberate way to make his ridiculous act even more annoying.

Maybe he should just stay the night with his foster parents again. With a sigh, he endures the presence of the cape-wearing idiot until their paths thankfully part.

"See ya later, Ex-champion!" The toothpaste hair calls out as he heads down to the League Club successfully skipping class again.

"Ugh, I really hate Drayton!"
He lets out a sigh as he spots his red haired classmate further back and starts walking towards him. It was Crispin

"Yeah, I think I've finally gotten that by now." The fire head replies.

"I've already see him twice this week in the mornin'. And it's only Tuesday. It's enough to make me lose my breakfast."

"Oh Kieran it's really not that bad." Crispin says, sounding offended, as they reach the area leading to the classrooms and head towards their class.

"He's been at me with this shit for almost a month now. Do you know how humiliatin' that is?"

Crispin looks at him with sympathy.

"You think the whole academy would be sick of it by now. Then again..."

The fire head doesn't respond.

In class, Kieran can't really focus. Apparently, this will just be his everyday life now, whether he likes it or not. This must be what puberty feels like, which, according to Carmine, supposedly crashed into his life with a bang. He'll probably this as the biggest disaster of his life forever.

And the worst part is still that dragon idiot. Every time they see each other, he gets completely pissed off. What is his problem anyway? Why is he like this? Well maybe at the beginning he really did deserve it. He did lash out at him put of nowhere after all, just to push him off the Champion throne... but at some point, you've served your "sentence".

He's been trying more and more to avoid Drayton. Even though he's no longer part of the League Club, he's still allowed to visit the room from time to time especially Juliana spends most of her time there whenever she's at the Blueberry Academy.

But that also means that annoying Drayton is constantly hanging around. And since he doesn't have a phone, staying in contact with her isn't exactly easy. Maybe his mother was right. Getting it back might actually be more practical...

He used to have one, but he felt betrayed by his mother and, in anger, threw it across his room. In the end he gave it back again when he still was caught up in his own spiral and she had been talking to Carmine about him. In the end, both of them were worried about him.

“Kieran, are you coming to the Terarium with us?”
He doesn’t even notice that the others have already started packing their things. Apparently, they’re finally heading into the Terarium. Some fresh air might do him good, so he gladly follows their lead.
Luckily, Crispin once again doesn’t notice that Kieran’s mind is somewhere else…

~~~~~~~
The lazy guy with toothpaste hair is enjoying his time doing nothing. Not much is going on in his thoughts… He’s fine with that. But for how long?
Because the door to the League Club opens. A girl with brown hair and a side braid, dressed in her school uniform, steps into the room. Naturally, his gaze shifts toward her, and he greets her with:
“Yo girl! Nice that ya came around again!”
“Hi, Drayton!” she replies with a very cheerful smile and walks toward the PC.
His eyes are still fixed on her, since he doesn’t have anything better to do than watch people at the moment. That actually works well with gathering information. Of course, he also zones out if something doesn’t interest him. Even though Drayton may seem pretty lazy and simple minded, he’s not stupid. Only the information that matters to him finds its way into his brain. Whether something is important or necessary to others doesn’t matter to him…
“So, what ya up to this time? Don’t go changin’ the room again. I ain’t really feelin’ like sittin’ somewhere else for a few days.”
“You’re in luck today. I’m just inviting a few people from my academy.”
“Nice! As long as it doesn’t mean more work…”
This really will be a lucky day for Drayton, because someone he knows is going to visit the school.
