Will and James were both getting ready for the Silly Awards. They were both nominated for something, despite the fact that Will wasn't really apart of the Brighton Crew; Will basically came as a package deal with James at this point. James was nominated for "Best Youtuber Musician", and Will was nominated for "Best Overall Youtuber". James was leaned over his bathroom sink, putting eyeliner on his waterline. Will was standing against the wall, scrolling through his notifications. "Will?"
"Mhm?"
"Can you please pass me my perfume darling?"
Will pushes himself off the sink, taking James' "Daisy" by Marc Jacobs perfume out of the cupboard above the mirror. James continues looking in the mirror, focused on his eyeliner. Will puts it next to James, and James finishes applying his eyeliner.
"Thank you" He says, before taking the perfume off of the counter and spraying it near his collarbones and on his wrists. Will looks in the mirror, fluffing up his hair a tiny bit. James uses his pointer finger to pan his boyfriends face towards him, smiling and fixing the older man's hair. Will was wearing a black and white suit, James was wearing black trousers and a white button up, rolled past his elbows and a loose black tie.
"You look pretty."
Will smiles. "You're one to speak."
James' grin grows, and he quickly pulls Will into a kiss. "Alright, better get going, yeah?"
Will nods, following him out to the front door.
Will and James leave their car, both closing the doors behind them and heading into the venue, not holding hands as they knew fans could already possibly be here although they were here early like all the other creators. They walk up to the front counter.
"Names?" The woman at the counter asks, seeing as multiple creators had already shown up.
"James Marriott and William Lenney?"
The woman types both of their names into the computer, waiting a second before nodding. "Ah yes, we've been expecting you. Just the door to your left." She states, gesturing over to a door with a metal sign on it engraved "STAFF AND PERFORMERS ONLY". James nods, walking to the door with Will following behind him. They both walk inside, and are led to a backstage area with about 7 other creators already here. James knew them all by name, considering they were all his friends. Tubbo, AverageHarry, MaxGGs, Jonnaay, Lexie Marie, Jack Manifold and TommyInnit. Will didn't know many of them personally, he obviously knew Tom and Jack, but other than that he had only vaguely heard of them online or through James. James looked over at Will, and Will nodded, the couple having an indirect conversation of "Wanna say hi?" "Sure.".
James walked over to Max and Jonnaay, who were sitting together scrolling Instagram as Jonnaay peered over Max's shoulder. Max looks up and smiles. "James! Will! Good to see you! Thanks for taking the time to be here Will, it's great to finally meet you!"
Will smiles, shaking Max's hand. "Nice to meet you too lad, James and I are very excited for the show."
Max smiles. "You know, James talks about you a lot. It's clear he loves you."
James' eyes widen, and he stares blankly at Max. Will looks over at James before smiling mischeviously. "Oh yeah? What does he say?" He asks, now looking back at Max. Max smiles mischeviously aswell.
"Well, he always talks about how he misses you. One time he was looking at your Instagram story and smiling like crazy."
Will's grin grows, and he looks over at James, who is covering his face with his hands. "Oh toughen up lad, I love you too." Will says, smiling fondly at James. James takes his hands off of his face and smiles back.
"Alright lovebirds, the others probably want to meet Will. James, go introduce him to them, yeah?"
James nods, grabbing Will's hand and guiding him over to the group with Jack Manifold, AverageHarry and Lexie Marie. Jack looks up at them first, and smiles. "James, Will! Great to see you lads!" He says, shaking Will's hand. James looks over at Will, and then over at Harry and Lexie.
"Will, this is Lexie and Harry, Lexie and Harry, this is my partner Will." Lexie smiles.
"Nice to meet you, Will!"
Will smiles back. "Nice to meet you too mate."
"Great to finally meet you mate, James has told me alot about you." Harry says, giving Will a firm handshake.
"You too lad." Will says, smiling. More creators begin coming inside, and James checks his watch, (yes, the one Will bought for him) just to see that the show starts in 30 minutes.
"Alright everyone, the show starts in 30 minutes, so I'd suggest you all go to your seats now. Every seat in the first 2 rows should have a creators name on it." Max says, getting up from his place on the couch with Jonnaay.
Everyone begins crowding out, including Will and James. They find themselves in the second row of seats, both conveniently being next to eachother. They sit down, amongst many other creators coming in. Will is interlocking his fingers with James', his leg bouncing up and down. James looks over at Will, in which the older man doesn't want to hold eye contact. "Will? You alright?"
"...Jus' stressed."
"It'll be alright Will, nothing bad is going to happen. If you at any point want to leave just do our code thing, yeah?"
"Yeah."
James nods, squeezing Will's hand a little tighter.
Eventually, the show starts, about 20 minutes after fans begin crowding into the venue. Max steps on the stage, waving to everyone in the crowd.
"Hello everyone, welcome to this years Silly Awards!"
He exclaims, resulting in screams from the crowd. He begins talking about how the award show will go and how it is being livestreamed, thanking everyone for being here, all that. Then, he begins pointing out the creators in the crowd. Will and James let go of eachothers hands, knowing that camera could pan to them any minute now. "We also have two very special guests here today, everyone please give a round of applause for WillNE and James Marriott?!" The crowd screams, the camera panning to both of them while they wave at the camera. Will holds up his Maple Sea Salt Rodd's bottle, pointing at it and mouthing "Buy Rodd's". Max smiles, before beginning to introduce other creators in the crowd. Eventually, the actual awards show begins. The setup was simple; list the nominees, and whoever won would come on stage or a video thanking everyone would show up on the screen. The first few awards were Best Jack Manifold Slop Sunday Guest, Best Youtuber Song, Best Variety Streamer, Rising Star, and a couple more that Will didn't entirely understand, considering he wasn't on of the Brighton Crew side of Youtube.
"Alright, next award is Best Youtuber Musician! Here are the nominees."
"Badlinu," After every name he calls, the crowd applauds.
"James Marriott," The crowd applauded a bit louder for that one. Will looks over at James with a smile. All that James could think about was how pretty Will looked right now.
"...And the award for Best Youtuber Musician goes to..." The room goes quiet.
"James Marriott!"
The crowd cheers and applauds. Will gives James a pat on the shoulder, before James gets up and walks on stage. He looks like an actual giant compared to Max.. well, he looks like that next to anyone. "Thank you so much for this award, I put a lot of work into my music, a bit more recently than usual. Expect a new album a couple months from now!"
The crowd applauds, and James takes the award, going back to his place with Will.
The award show continues, eventually taking a 1 hour break before starting up again. Will and James took photos with fans and answered their questions, one of them being "Are you two dating?" in which Will responded with "You'll find out soon." Even James didn't really know what that was supposed to entail, but Will knew exactly how the fans would find out soon.
The second/last portion of the award show began, the awards in this portion being more significant, with things such as "Best Brighton Crew Member", "Best Overall Streamer" and the award Will was nominated for, "Best Overall Youtuber". Same thing again, but Lexie Marie was calling them out this time, the nominees were stated, the crowd applauded, someone won that award. Then, the award Will was nominated for began.
"Now, this next award is quite significant. This is the award for Best Overall Youtuber, here are the nominees."
"Jack Manifold,"
"Memeulous,"
"TommyInnit... Uhm if I'm being honest I don't know why we did him- I think we just ran out of nominees."
"And WillNE!"
The crowd applauds.
"The award for Best Overall Youtuber goes to... WillNE!!"
James smiles, so does Will, getting up and going on stage. While Will walks up, Lexie looks at Molly, saying something about how she looks good and how she wants to kiss her right now. Will comes on stage and Lexie gives him the award with a smile.
"Thank ye all so much for this award, it's crazy to think that out of all these people people decided to vote me. Uhm- buy Rodd's in Sainsburys, Morrisons and Ocado... and you know what, speaking of kisses, I think theres someone in the crowd who I'd quite like to kiss." Will says, smirking as the crowd goes absolutely wild. James knows whats about to happen, he can feel his face warming up. He puts the award in his suit pocket, before running off the stage and over to James, a cameraman recording him and the footage being presented on the stream and on the projectors screen. He grabs James' chin, pulling him into a kiss. The crowd screams, and Will sits back down next to James. James looks at Will with confusion, before whispering, "We are talking about this when we get home."
