Chapter 1: First Things First..

Chapter Text

Hey, y'all!

For starters, I just want to say this is the first thing I'm writing on AO3. I have been a writer for years, but never posted anywhere online, so bare with me here.

Secondly, I want to reiterate what was in the summary. All of the works you see on here are entirely written by me, myself, and I about all of my own life experiences and emotions. If not, I will name the person who helped me write it (if they want me to), or I will state multiple times it is not only mine to give credit where it is due.

This being said, feedback is greatly appreciated, but please don't be rude about it. Like, #supportyoungerwriters (I'm not, like, 12 I swear). I swear I'm trying my best. I understand not everyone will like everything written on here, but there are better ways to express that than making fun of it. However, everyone I've talked to on here has seemed pretty nice, so I hope I won't have to worry about this.

Keep in mind some poetry and lyrics in this work will have curses, triggers, and lots of hard emotions- hence the fic being rated Teen and Up. I will do my very best to list any triggers in the notes at the start, but I'm not perfect, so there may be some I forget to list. Here is a brief list of what some writings here may contain:
- Curse words/strong language
- Mentions of emotional, mental, and physical abuse (including SA) - Mentions of self harm and suicide
- Insecurities
- Referenced homophobia
- Trauma
- Struggles with death

This may not be all of them, but it's all I can think of right now. Again, triggers will be listed in notes at the beginning of each chapter. If any of these trigger you or make you feel unsafe, I suggest you skip to the next work or just don't read this book.

Now, without further ado, I invite you to get a snack, some ice to munch on, a blanket, and turn on the string lights that I know you have somewhere. Make them rainbow. Maybe grab a stuffed animal if you want, too.

And I hope you enjoy!

Notes:

And please, please, PLEASE let me know hat you think about them!
