Chapter Text
Zitana had been going around helping with deliveries when she heard much about Reth from the townspeople, but what interested her the most was how pressed Nai’O was about Reth’s flirting streak.
He supposedly flirted with someone taken, and with how much it annoyed Nai’O, she thought he might have flirted with Nai’O’s girl.
Time passes, the conversation is forgotten, and life goes on.
Nai’O placed another order down at the inn from his parent’s farm. “Oh hey Zi. Glad you’re here.” He said, “I have something for you.”
He pulled out a small carrot cake, “For your trouble” he winked.
“Oh thanks, It was nothing.” Zi smiled.
“Nothing? An entire Raffoc with your bare hands?! You ride wild. I can take you back to the farm, teach you how to ride other stuff.” He said with a charming smile.
“Oh sweet. I’d like to try.” Zi nodded, the implication going over her head, and right into Reth’s ears.
He frowned from his booth, eyeing the conversation, but then, Nai’O looked past Zi, and locked eyes with Reth for one small moment, then back to Zi.
“We’ll, I’ll see ya ‘round.” He tipped his hat and got out.
Reth frowned, staring daggers into Nai’O’s back. “Stupid muscular farm boy.”
“Want some?” Zi asked, holding the carrot cake.
“No thanks.” He sighed, trying to hide his disappointment behind his casual smile.
“It’s good. Didn’t think I’d like carrot cake.” Zi said, taking a small bite.
“Mhm.” He nodded, “Welp, can’t stay and chat, gotta check on the soup, catch ya later, yeah?”
“Sure. See ya.” Zi nodded, going back home.
Zitana was making another torch to light up her home, when suddenly it struck her “… wait. Wtf. Did he just flirt with me in front of Reth?” Zitana shuddered, “Ew. Riding-? diabolical.”
