Summary:

20 years after the fight against Sukuna, a 35-year-old Yuji finds himself waking up deep within a dungeon full of monsters. Lost and confused, Yuji did what he did best: kick the ass of every monster that crossed his path.

Chapter 1: Loud Arrival

Chapter Text

'Where the hell am I?"

Yuji wondered to himself: it had been a little over twenty years since the fight against Sukuna, and at the level he was at now, he could confidently say he'd far surpassed his uncle and his sensei, Gojo.

A sentiment shared by many of the others, he was even able to master the black flash a few years back, something he totally didn't brag about.

Even though he'd never admit it out loud, he's somewhat grateful that Tokyo turned into the curse-infested city that it did; the curses there were perfect for training, and they had to keep the curses in the city to protect the people anyway, so he had to do it even if he didn't want to.

But that was all in the past. Right now, he's focused on trying to get out of… wherever he was.

He already bashed in the face of the weird plant lady who attacked him, and all he did was ask for directions on how to get out. She did start blasting lasers at him, though, that was pretty cool.

He wandered through the lush forest for who knows how many minutes before stopping, and he immediately began running.

He was in a forest, all he needed to do was run and run, until he got out of it, absolutely genius, he had no choice but to pat himself on the back for that one. The power of his 530,000 IQ was unmatched.

Moving at speeds unmatched, he blitzed through the forest and proceeded to run straight into a wall.

...

Alright, maybe running straight in a single direction might not have been the best idea.

Slowly pulling himself out of the rocks, he looked up and realized something: he was underground.

How a forest somehow grew underground, he had no idea. How a superpowered plant lady grew underground, he also had no idea.

But if that was the case, then the only way out was up. Yuji crouched and focused cursed energy in his legs and jumped.

As the ceiling got closer and closer, Yuji pulled his fist back and swung it forward.

BLACK FLASH!

Punching straight through the ground, he found himself on what he would call not the freaking top.

But his eyes quickly widened in shock at the sight before him: dragons, there were real-life dragons before his very eyes.

If this was a dream he didn't want to wake up, he slapped himself and winced, cupping his stinging cheek and looking back at the dragons who did not look happy.

Alright, it wasn't a dream; maybe he could ask for their wisdom. That was a whole thing about dragons; they were greedy as hell, but wise and powerful.

Yeah, he could do that, but before he could even open his mouth to speak, the dragons started blasting at him.

Giant tsunamis of flames rapidly approached him from all sides, and even from above. He let out a sigh, of course this is how it would go. His eyes became focused, his face chiseled as he uttered a single word.

Dismantle

All of Oraria shook violently.

Freya and Ottar, at the top of Babel, stumbled around like fools.

Hephaestus watched as her prized creations clattered onto the ground like used trash.

Loki found herself making out with the floor in no time.

Hestia also found herself making out with the floor at almost the same time, although her fall was a lot more "cushioned" than Loki's.

Ouranos gripped his throne as it shook beneath him.

On the streets, it was even worse; some of the oldest buildings collapsed. But the ones who got it the worst were the individuals still within the dungeon.

In the city of Rivira, buildings collapsed, and adventurers clung onto whatever stable object they could find.

The Loki Familia and Bell Cranel desperately tried to keep balance while avoiding falling debris. The minotaur long since forgotten.

What followed was a deafening THOOM that echoed through the dungeon and out of it.

A sound that echoed through the entire city.

Eventually, it all stopped, and the entire city let out a collective sigh of relief.

Yuji jumped. The dismantle had torn a gigantic hole straight through multiple roofs; in fact, there were so many that Yuji was starting to get concerned. He still couldn't see any surface light.

The dismantle had torn through about twenty, mainly because each floor so far was far larger than he initially thought they were. But they did seem to get smaller the higher he went.

He hadn't encountered any sentient creature so far, either, just more monsters that were very intriguing to Yuji, mainly for the fact that the creatures in this gigantic cave system had no cursed energy.

In fact, he hasn't been able to sense any cursed energy at all since he woke up here. The dragons had something, but it wasn't cursed energy.

Besides, it wouldn't make sense for them to have cursed energy; they're dragons. Dragons have mag-… oh my god.

Yuji paused as he grabbed the ledge of another floor.

Dragons had magic in pretty much every form of media he's seen them in, and this weird energy he's been feeling from these creatures, an energy that definitely wasn't cursed energy.

Does that mean he's sensing magic? Real, genuine magic. Yuji tapped into the entirety of his 530,000 IQ, courtesy of his brother, Todo, and began to put the pieces together.

He woke up in a strange place, killed an entity he's never encountered before, found dragons, creatures of myth and fantasy, and he seems to be within a giant, elaborate- he gasped - dungeon. The higher he goes, the weaker monsters seem to get… He thinks they're getting weaker at least; it was hard to tell when everything died in one hit.

If he was correct, all the signs pointed to one thing being true: Yuji Itadori has been isekaid.

Never in Yuji's life has he felt such excitement, but at the same time fear, fear for his friends back in Japan. Who are all probably wondering where he went, he doesn't even remember what he was doing before waking up in that forest.

Maybe time worked differently; maybe a year here was like a minute back in Japan, like a supercharged hyperbolic time chamber.

But with how powerful everyone had become over the years, he was certain they could take on any threat that came their way. He felt his worries slip away as he came to this realization.

But even then, he'd have to find a way back to Japan, or maybe he was overthinking this, and he just got caught in a stupidly large domain expansion, and he was just an idiot thinking it was an isekai the whole time.

If it was the latter, well, a man can dream, alright! He knocked aside a random creature that lunged at him as he pulled himself up into the final floor with a hole in it.

The moment he did, though, it became quiet, too quiet. The floor began shaking; he could feel pressure building in one area. He began walking towards it as a giant black skeleton with spikes on its arms and a tail erupted out of the ground.

Its empty eye sockets locked onto the approaching sorcerer and slammed its hand into the ground, a massive shock wave struck the pinkette right in the face, but he just kept walking as if he didn't feel a thing.

The large skeleton pulled a large sword out of the ground, from where it had slammed its hand. Its other hand came up to grab the hilt as well.

It lifted the blade far above his head and swung it down at incredible speed directly onto the head of the sorcerer.

Yuji stopped, clapped his hands together, and pointed it towards the sword.

Piercing Blood

Multiple torrents of blood shot from his hands, cutting straight through the blade and into cutting the large skeleton's arms to pieces.

With the loss of its arms, it resorted to using its head, attempting to turn Yuji into a fine paste with a headbutt.

Yuji simply threw his fist forward and unleashed a devastating black flash right to the skeleton's dome, shattering and killing it instantly.

Its large body collapsed onto its back, having been pushed back by the force of the punch.

Yuji would've walked away after if it weren't for the fact that he spotted a giant shiny crystal in the skeleton's ribcage.

There was no way he wasn't going to take that; it looked way too cool to just leave there. So he walked up and ripped open the ribcage, and he reached in and pulled the giant crystal out of its body.

It was a black crystal inside of a larger purplish pink one, with orange lights flowing around the black crystal within.

Its size was very inconvenient, but it was fine. He lifted the large crystal and positioned it on his left shoulder, leaving his right arm free.

He was gonna be rich if he sold this thing, who knows how much it'd cost.

Now all he needed to do was find a way out… he let out a sigh. This was gonna take forever.

With the massive force that had just shaken Orario having just occurred, an emergency Denatus was called immediately.

All the gods and goddesses of Orario, even those who normally didn't show up to a Denatus, were there.

Even the normally high-energy Loki was serious.

The gods argued back and forth, some trying to rationalize it as just an extremely powerful earthquake, and how there wasn't anything to worry about.

But it was quite clear that they were just trying to lie to themselves; they all sensed it, the huge eruption of power that occurred deep within the dungeon.

Whatever the source was, it wasn't magic; it was an entirely different power that none of them had ever felt before.

Some even threw out the idea that someone had used their arcanum within the dungeon. A statement none of them agreed with, no god would be dumb enough to do that.

Besides, if that was the case, they all would've sensed it, and this entire meeting would've become nothing more than screaming as gods accused each other.

Loki and Hestia had been silent the whole time. They were too worried for their familia members, who were within the dungeon when the tremor occurred.

'Please be ok.' They both thought at the same time. For that was all they could do at the moment.

'WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!' Bell screamed internally. He was still greatly shaken by what occurred within the dungeon, even though he had long since left it.

His heart probably nearly stopped about six times during the entire thing: first, the Minotaur, then the most intense earthquake he's ever felt, and almost being crushed by debris on multiple occasions.

If it weren't for the Aiz saving him from the Minotaur, he'd already be dead.

Actually, no, he definitely would be dead if it weren't for her; she was the one pulling him out of the way of debris when he couldn't dodge in time, or the piece was just too big for him to get away.

He had assumed a floor boss was spawning, and the thought of it was terrifying; luckily, it wasn't. But to think an earthquake like that would happen while he was down there really made Bell worried about any type of solo dungeon diving in the future.

But if that was caused by a monster, then he could only shudder at the thought of what type of monstrosity could be capable of causing an earthquake of such caliber.

'What in the level design is this?' Yuji thought to himself while running around aimlessly, looking for an exit.

Author's Note:

Yooooo, Yuji's in Danmachi. If you're wondering why I'm using a 35-year-old Yuji, it's because I wanted a version of Yuji that wasn't completely disconnected from others, aka I wanted a powerful Yuji Itadori that still had it in him to smile. Also, because there have been so many stories with a teenage Yuji, and I wanted to use an older, more mature version that wasn't depressed about immortality, something I'm pretty sure he doesn't know about at this point, since he and all his other friends are in the prime of their lives currently.

I believe Yuji, at this point, is stronger than Gojo and Sukuna with how OP he is in Modulo, even if he's 83 during those events, a 35-year-old Yuji should have surpassed Sukuna and Gojo at this point. His dismantle, just like in Modulo, was a casual use of it, not going all out. But even then, that shit looked like a nuke in Modulo, so this Yuji would have something similar, only weaker. Also, for the looks department, I just imagine him looking the same as Modulo Yuji, since the old man in the manga had a flashback of Yuji, which Imma just assume was around this time.
