There’s a tension in the air of the stadium as you all wait for the boys to come back out on stage, it’s a growing anticipation that everyone seems to hold within them without trying to let it explode out of them. You look around your friends and smile happily as they all dance in place to the music that’s still playing over the speakers. It’s one of the last shows before the boys go on their international leg of tour and you have managed to coordinate with your friends to attend the concert.
“When do you plan on spilling to him that you’re here?” your friend asked as she leaned in closer to your side and you smiled softly at her as you turned your head towards her.
“Not until they come out on stage. He won’t have his phone and the staff know I’m here so I’ll be able to go backstage and see him once it’s all done.” you tell her softly and she nods her head while smiling. You had been dating Hyunjin for a year already and had always been on the quieter side of life when it came to your affection for him. But tonight was pretty big for both you and him since this was your first time going to one of his concerts.
Just then there was a loud rumbling sound and everyone’s attention was pulled to a set of large rolling platforms that were decorated with Stray Kids banners. You watched with wide shocked eyes as you spotted the boys dancing on top of the platforms and you smiled widely at their silly antics.
“Oh my gosh! He’s going to see you!” your friend gushed to you and you realized that she was right. The platforms were at the perfect eye level for the section where your seat was located. A wide smile slipped across your face when you thought about how Hyunjin would react if he saw you.
You wait with baited breath as the platforms slowly make their way through the stadium, your eyes are glued to the second platform as you recognize Hyunjin almost immediately. He’s sharing a platform with Felix, Chan and Jeongin while the others are on the first platform. It’s just as the first platform is moving past your section that you hear a loud yell and your eyes are drawn to an ecstatic Changbin. His face is flushed happily as he points at you and cries out loudly, Han who’s standing right next to him grins widely as he waves at you. Minho looks over his shoulder as he’s greeting the other side of Stay and smirks, while Seungmin shakes his head at you before turning to the second platform and starts calling out for Hyunjin.
In all the noise and cheers from Stay and the music being played Hyunjin doesn’t hear Seungmin but the others do. Chan hears him first and Seungmin points to your section which catches Jeongin’s attention as well. Chan and Jeongin look at your section as they slowly move past and they grin while waving and making hearts with their hands for you. You send them right back even though you’re blushing deeply, you can’t help but adore these men.
But then Hyunjin is standing there and when his eyes lock on you he lowers his mic as if he’s been struck dumb. He stares in awe at you with wide eyes. You laugh at him knowing that he’s taking in your outfit. Tonight you had dressed up as Jiniret, Hyunjin’s Skzoo. You’ve got on a white flowy sundress that falls down to your knees, there’s shimmering silvery white glitter on your cheeks, you’ve painted a cute little pink heart on your nose, and you’ve even painted his beauty mark on your cheek to mirror his. Shyly you wave and blow him a kiss and Hyunjin stumbles into the railing gripping it tightly in his hands as Felix, Chan and Jeongin burst out into laughter at his response to you.
Hyunjin continues to stare at you with a disbelieving look on his face but you can see his eyes are sparkling and shimmering in the light. Felix grips a hand on Hyunjin’s shoulder as he drapes himself over his back while laughing at him. They’re all delighted that you’re there for them and see them perform but you can see how much this actually means to Hyunjin in the way he gapes at you like a fish while staring at you with sparkling eyes.
The platforms continue moving through the stadium and the concert moves forward with you excitedly enjoying the music and performance of them all, and every once in a while you’d catch Hyunjin staring at your section of the stadium no doubt trying to spot you from the stage. You know that once you get backstage that Hyunjin is going to be all over you with how sneaky you were and how surprised he was but you don’t care. Just being able to see his reaction to you surprising him at his concert was the best gift he could give you.
Backstage is chaotic and you try not to get into anyone’s way as you follow the staff member back to where Hyunjin is. It doesn’t take you long to get back to where the boys are and you can hear them all before you even get into the room. You can already hear Changbin shouting about their last song and how pumped he is as you enter the room. Cheers ring out and you’re grinning softly at the boys as you come to stand just inside the door.
“You look so cute noona!” calls out Felix from his seat as he grins brightly at you with sparkles in his eyes.
Just as you’re about to respond to him you’re being spun on your heels and then swept up in strong muscular arms as one hand cups your cheek gently. Hyunjin stares at you as if you’re fragile art while his eyes spark with fond affection directed at you.
“You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.” he breathes out to you as his other hand comes up to cup your cheeks gently as his eyes rove over your face quickly. He then pulls you in for a kiss that starts tender and slow but quickly deepens as the emotions flow between the two of you. His hands travel to press against your back keeping you close as he slowly comes up for air from the kiss. “You came all this way…dressed like this, for me?” he asks softly and almost reverently and you smile at him while nodding your head. “I’m never letting you go.” he promises as he wraps you in a tight hug that has your heart thudding heavily in your chest as you hug him back.
