Summary:

A look into a world where Hometown's internet wasn't down and some of Hometown's residents (and those beyond) played a certain critically acclaimed MMO with a free trial that goes up to Level 70 and includes the award winning expansion Heavensward and Stormblood.

Rated T for language down the line.

The concept of Deltarune characters playing Final Fantasy XIV is an entertaining one - and given my... healthy playtime of that game...
(Note: The author has been playing Final Fantasy XIV since May of 2015.)
...well, I've got no shortage of ideas to use here.

Character guide:

Noelle - Nelnu Ymir. (Veena Viera, F) (Name was picked at random - first she found a good last name, then kept shuffling until she found a "N" first name she liked.) (Typically plays a healer, but has Summoner leveled up as a byproduct of her main being Scholar.)
Kris - Christopher Dreamer (Midlander Hyur, M) (The embodiment of originality...) (Mains Dark Knight. Has also branched out into Black Mage, Reaper, Dancer, and Astrologian - to passable success.)
Susie - Susie Branford (Highlander Hyur, F) (Hit the random name button once, decided the last name was good enough, switched first name to Susie.) (Has only played Marauder/Warrior so far, currently in post-launch ARR)
Berdly - Guillaunaux Pasdevillet (Duskwight Elezen, M) (Though he'll swear up and down the name has complex meaning behind it... he hit random and took the first name offered because he had assumed he'd play for like a week tops.) (Machinist main, quite good at it. Raids, parses quite well. Has a parser active at all times. Made the FC.)
Chara - Fufura Fura (Dunesfolk Lalafell, F) (Looked up the naming convention for Lalafell, thought the name would be funny. It kinda is.) (Was a Black Mage main, has flipped to Pictomancer because it looked interesting. Has spent more than she cares to admit on cash shop items. Glamour is her endgame, and she is a tryhard among tryhards.)
Frisk - Kibbles N'Bits (Currently Plainsfolk Lalafell, M) ("Bowl O'Chaos" was taken.) (Has everything at 100, spins a picker wheel to decide what they're using in Roulettes that day. The designated Fantasia fanatic.)
Asriel - Azzy Dorthal (Xaela Au Ra, M) (Read the lore, decided the Dorthali are pretty cool.) (Mains Paladin and Red Mage. Only occasionally speaks in FC chat. Is the one that recruited Susie.)
