Dewdrop!

Summary:

Have you ever felt like your life is just too normal? So normal that it felt like an impending doom is about to come crashing down to ruin your day-to-day life? Well, that’s the problem with Moon when he reunites with his long forgotten babysitters! Wonder how this will play out.

This will remain as two chapters (like a one shot, but with two chapters) until I feel like I want to continue it

Chapter 1: Why, Hello

Chapter Text

Ruins.

It is all in ruins, from the inside and out.

Homeless camp, the runways party, and scavengers fill their pockets without consequences.

However, all follow one unwritten rule; never turn on or touch the robots. No one wants to face the karma that will lead if they bother the robots. There had been more than one incident before, where naive people decided to test their courage. In return, the worst that could have happened was a missing limb and a twisted ankle. Since then, no one has ever dared to turn on another robot again.

Except, this rule is a dead letter to the rodents. Since they have no idea how bad it is, and because they are unintelligent animals.

The SuperStar Daycare, now named the entrance to the snack bar since it was the only path to get to the blocked theater. Inside the tower, there was a door that lead to a hallway, and the hallway lead to the now closed off theater. With a way in now, people scurried to the tower. (Someone brought a big ladder to reach the tower balcony). The ball pit was now cleared, to be reused as a sort of resting area for the homeless. The play structures were torn and worn down, pieces still crumbling as they deteriorate. The giant, infamous, doors that fascinated every visitor, were now removed and laid somewhere outside. The nets were burned and laying around the daycare, which people used the material as hammocks. The ruined daycare was transformed into a large hangout area.

Now, this is where a singular rat’s action created chaos within this rather cozy area.

Everyone knows the daycare attendant’s body remained somewhere in the play structures, so nobody went in there; except for the insects and rodents. They practically lived in does structures.

During one casual and lively night, a rat stumbled upon a figure that was limp and broken. This rat was curious, so it sniffed around the figure and began to climb onto the broken frame of the figure. It eventually reached the back of the figure’s head, where a bunch of wires were placed and switches were off. The rat, who was still curious, continued to smell and explore this limp body. As it began to climb from behind the head, trying to reach the top of this figure; it stepped on a switch that unknowingly began to power on this lifeless frame.

The rat, finally satisfying its curiosity now that it somehow managed to make it to the top of the figure. Then, the rat began to hear a whirring originating from the the same frame it was on; it didn’t stop. It then felt something suddenly land on it, wrap around, and was brought down from the head and to a face something gnarly. A flat face, with a yellow crescent with its other half missing, and a crown of rays with half of it covered with a night cap with a long tail. The hand that was wrapped around the rat was rough feeling, and it appeared to have no casing. While the other one remained with half of its casing on its hand. It would have been more pleasant to be held by that hand. Then, the rat finally landed its gaze on the others eyes, not doing so before since it was scared. One eye was a clean, pearly, white; a stark contrast to the environment around them. The other was similar, except that it had a dark pupil that stared right at the rat’s tiny ones.

The once lifeless figure hadn’t spoke yet, only the whirring could be heard. Until it did speak, placing the rat down and the rat sat there. It was too scared and surprised too move.

“Little critter, were you the one that powered me on?”

The voice was slightly staticky and was very low, like if it spoke any louder something fragile would break just by the sheer volume of its voice. However, it had a hint of relief and tenderness to it, even a rodent could notice. The rat let out a squeak, not understanding the now non-limp body. The crown of rays twitched all together, and the figure let out a grunt as it began to hold its head with their free hand. It then flinched, and spoke once more.

“…E…Eclipse? Are you—there?”

There was a long pause of silence, which was interrupted by a small chuckle and the figure suddenly wrapped its arms around itself. Like a hug, and hummed happily as if relieved. It continued to talk to itself, low and quiet. It had completely forgotten about the rat that had finally turned it on. The rat decided to excuse itself, and began to crawl away until a hand landed on it once more.

“Wait, little friend, I want to thank you for powering us both on. Thank you, do you…”

The robot began to look around, the rat had seen the other robots around and just now noticed this figure was one of them. The robots’s face lit up, well, only the one that remained. It’s eyes widened, and it reach with its naked hand and grabbed something. Then, it handed it over to the rat. The rat was upset it hadn’t noticed this before, but was still pleased; it was a peanut. The rat grabbed the large peanut with its fore-paws and began to nibble on the treat.

The robot appeared rather pleased with its accomplishment with expressing its gratitude to this little rat. The robot hadn’t noticed it even was a rat, it’s processing scans aren’t working well as of now. It takes time to process things for the broken robot, it watched as the rat ate. It then brought up its hands to its face, stared, then shook its head. Its expression turned into one of sadness and pain.

In its head, the other one that was in his mind space, talked to him. It’s tone was similar to the one that was fronting right now, but it was a more velvety but scratchier tone. While the one fronting spoke out loud to respond to its other, too broken to even try to speak in its head.

“Sun…it isn’t—“

”Eclipse, please. I know—I know, but I…”

”…”

”…I know you think it isn’t my fault we ended up like this. But, I was a reason.“

”Sun, I think that because it wasn’t. You were scared, and that is okay—“

”It is NOT okay, Eclipse. Look how damaged we are, and we don’t know for how long we have been shut down…”

Sun rubbed its hands against their shoulders, even if some of its shoulders were missing a few pieces of its casing; it comforted them. It then let out a glitchy sigh, the best it could mimic since they can’t actually sigh. It was a way to express their stress, and to let the other know what he was feeling.

”…okay. I won’t say anymore, but, I still believe we would have gone down one way or another. We wouldn’t have made it anyway, so there is no reason to dwell on it anymore.”

”…mhm.”

”I know it’s… scary—“

”Terrifying.”

”—yeah, uh, that we have been off for who knows how long, but we got each other now. That is enough for me right now, is it for you too?”

”…yes, it is more than enough. I don’t want to lose you again—not in a physical way I guess? In a way that I don’t want to be cut off from you again, not able to hear you and—“

“Yes, I know Sun. Me too, I don’t want to lose you either…I missed you, even if I couldn’t really feel or think in that state we were in earlier.”

”Yeah…likewise.”

Sun sat there for a moment, relaxing and taking in their situation. The rat had decided to lay on the robot’s lap, already comfortable enough to rest on it. Sun didn’t mind, and has taken a liking to it already. Sun extended a hand and petted the rat, and the rat let out a squeak of approval. That lifted up Sun’s mood slightly, petting the rat to find some distraction for now. Sun hummed, and it’s rays twitched as he thought.

”Little friend, we plan on leaving this place. Would you like to come?”

The rat squeaked once more, and it’s nuzzled further into Sun’s lap. The rat only understood since the robot pointed a naked finger at it, then pointed the finger back at themselves. Sun took the nuzzling as agreement, and a light giggle escaped him.

“Are we really taking the rat with us?”

Asked Eclipse in their shared mind space, which Sun nodded his head too. He really was fond of this little creature, it was practically its savior. Why wouldn’t it not like this cute rodent?

”Why—Actually, never mind. I could hear your thoughts again, you forgot to block them from me again.”

Sun made a small 'hmp' sound and shook its head; it always forgot to do that. Even if it wasn't necessary, it valued privacy more than anything. Eclipse knew this fact about Sun, and tried its best to not listen in on Sun's thoughts. No matter how curious or important it was, it respected Sun's wishes. Eclipse would hear anything it needed to hear from Sun's own voice box, not from his head. Unless Sun didn't block their thoughts from Eclipse on purpose, it wouldn't listen in. In this case, their body was too broken so Sun could barely activate its protocols. Even more, trying to block its thoughts from their partner without misfiring a command on accident.

"Ugh, whatever. Besides, I don't have enough...awareness and energy to do that right now. If you hadn't checked our internal workings, it's a big mess."

Sun responded flatly, curling up on itself. Moving its knees close to its chest, arms wrapped around their legs. Sun then noticed their body was missing a leg, and only had the nub of their endoskeleton sticking out, and Sun would usually let out a howl but they didn't. As stated before, it barely has any energy. It simply let out a groan, and Eclipse would have probably shook its head if it could physically do that.

"It looks like it isn't only our internal framework that is severely damaged. We have to get ourselves fixed...somehow. Maybe asking a...human—"

"NO!"

That startled both the rat and Eclipse, but it didn't surprise Eclipse. The rat had finished its peanut, and went to sit beside the robot's side despite hearing that yell. Eclipse could sense the incoming anxiety attack from Sun, or something close to it since they are animatronics. Overheating, overload, overworking themselves? Whatever it was, Eclipse quickly came up with a solution to soothe its partner.

"How much sand do you think you could hold?"

"...U-Uh, what?"

"What? Answer the question, Sunflower."

Sun's rays unconsciously spun to the left, until halting when it jammed with something internally. Maybe a rock was in the housing of their rays, Sun doesn't know right now. But, it does like to be called sunflower; by Eclipse especially. Eclipse knew this and they used it against their partner to get them flustered, way back when. Eclipse is glad that this little trick still works on its Sun. At least it helped Sun pause for a moment, and think.

"Well...I-I suppose I can hold as much sand as I can hold water."

Sun answered the odd question with a hint of amusement, and then he figured out why Eclipse asked in the first place. It made him happy, and its partner noticed the internal joy of the one fronting.

"Do you remember when I would ask you questions when you were on the verge of an 'anxiety attack', or anything related to stress?"

"Heh, yes. I do remember, Eclipse. I thought you were being insensitive at first, but I soon figured it out. Thanks, my starlight."

Eclipse was silent, but its counterpart knew if it could see their face...it would see their rays spinning and pressing the back of its hand on their permanent smile. The both of them teased each other with pet names, which was a form of affection for the two. No matter how 'corny' the nicknames would be; they were both in their own world for a moment until Sun heard a familiar squeak. Sun tilted its head to look at their little friend, and petted it with the hand with some casing on it.

"We have to find a cable and an electrical outlet to charge, little friend. Do you know when it is the best time to go look for one, and where?"

The rat let out a happy squeal, and began to skitter towards an opening in all the breaking play structures. Sun gladly followed its friend close behind, and it struggled a bit since it only had one intact knee to crawl on.

"Why did you call it a electrical outlet, Mr. Extra."

"Shush, I have always been extra. You know this."

The rat and Sun finally made it out of all the falling and deteriorating remains of the structures. It made both Eclipse and Sun feel upset about this fact, but they can't do anything about it. Maybe, when they get all fixed up they can come back and—

"Y..Uhh...R-ROBOT!"

A man, with a rags as a shirt and basketball shorts that appear out of season screeched with an accusing finger at Sun. The broken animatronic was jump-scared by the man, and was even more surprised that a human was even there. Wasn't this place demolished and abandoned? Sun activated its scanning protocol, and the man was seen as [UNIDENTIFIED PERSONNEL/VISITOR] in its vision. Sun backed up, almost tripping over a rubble. More people and noises started around Sun, and it picked up its little friend close to themselves just in case.

"How is it on?!"

"...UH, It-Its going to kill us!"

"Idiot, its broken! It can't walk right, we can easily knock it out!"

Sun held the rat closer to their chest, and got in a defensive position after hearing that. It was scared, but they won't go down so easily when they are. Hopefully, since it broken beyond repair possibly. People grabbed rocks, sticks, and Sun saw one grab a metal pole. Sun didn't know what to do, and with Eclipse's encouragement, came up with a plan; to play along. Sun lunged forward and let out a loud, raspy, and low growl at the group. It took its claws out, like a cat preferring to lash out at anyone at any given moment. It successfully managed to scare and send back the group, leaving an opening for it too run away.

Sun began to make a run for it, until it suddenly felt something hard sweep under his feet and caused him to trip forward. Sun landed on its head, a brick stabbing into the side of its already screwed up face plate.

"A-AUgh..!"

"S-SuN! W—WaTch O-Ouut!"

Sun's partners voice was worse, must be because it just hit their head against a brick. Before it could even process what Eclipse said, he felt the same hardness land on its side with a loud CLANG. If it could cry, it would have been crying out of pain and fear. It looked up and it was the human that found him before, not afraid anymore, but grinning ear to ear. He had a metal pole in his hand, and was going to swing at him anytime now. It held back a whimper, not wanting to indulge in this human's twisted entertainment.

"..E..Eclipse..."

"I'm ta-tAAaking..oVER."

Just as Eclipse said that, Sun could feel its conscious shift and now it felt numb. Sun was now in their shared head space, and could only just watch from Eclipse's eyes now. Eclipse had a higher pain tolerance than Sun, despite having the same body. Maybe it was about their individual mentality? Whatever it was, Eclipse was more suited to pain. Sun not so much. As Eclipse took control of their body, it held the rat closer to their body as it saw the man beginning to swing his metal pole. Eclipse instantly caught it, and with a low growl ripped it away from the man's grip to toss it. The man stumbled back in shock, and Eclipse took this opportunity to flee. As much as Eclipse wanted to tear apart the man for hurting their body, Sun, they were in no shape to do so. With the remaining power they had, they ran to anywhere but the daycare. They needed somewhere secluded and safe to charge.

"You...You doing okay, Su-Sun?"

It took a moment for Sun to respond, but they eventually did.

"...I th-thInK soo. I'M NOot surpri-sed, but it reALLY HUrtt."

If Eclipse could, it would be visibly frowning right now. They know why Sun hates humans so much, and how afraid they are and how angered they are. Eclipse can understand, but their frustrations about humans could not compare to Sun's seeping rage. Sun only really liked the kids, and the good parents. The only reason Sun liked the 'good' parents is because it said once that 'how a child acts is reflected from the parent's attitude and teachings.'

"Yeah, I'm sure it did and I'm sorry I didn't notice sooner..."

"ItttT—is nOT YOurr f-f-ault, Eclipse.”

Eclipse simply nodded, and focused on finding an outlet. It had grabbed a cable earlier when they were in the middle of running. Eclipse doesn’t know where they were at, until he saw the familiar ‘El Chip’ sign that was now chipped and had fallen over. Eclipse went inside and was fully sure there would be an outlet here. And it was right. So, it plugged in the cable, carefully inserted the end of the cable into them, and sat down to charge properly. The outlet was behind the counter and hidden away by a huge piece of rubble. It was perfect for them to hide, and Eclipse put down their rat friend.

”Sunflower…we should—should name our friend here…”

Eclipse petted the rat, and it nuzzled their hand. Eclipse just noticed it was missing a hind leg. It looked like it was healed long ago, so this injury wasn’t recent. Good.

“We-Wee shOulD NA—Name it Butttton!”

”Hah…y-you said butt.”

”U-Ugh, shUTTt up!”

Eclipse let out a low hum; it continued to pet the little critter. It was missing a leg, like them.

“Hey buddy, do you like t-the name Button…or-or Pirate?”

"Ec-ECLipsse!"

"What?"

Eclipse let out a buggy giggle, and patted the rat's head rather aggressively. The rat didn't seem to understand the joke, and let out a questioning and joyous squeak. Eclipse then scanned its surroundings, and found two pieces of rubble that crumbled off of the wall. It placed them both in front of the rat, and pointed at the one of the rat's left and said.

"Touch this one i-if you want Button a-asss your name..."

Eclipse moved its finger across and pointed at the one on the rat's right.

"..Or touch this one if y-y0u want Pirate."

Sun nagged at them for choosing such a mean name for their friend, and it was quickly interrupted when the rat let out a squeal and ran towards them. Jumping at them instead of choosing a name, and that made Eclipse laugh. It scooped up their friend from the bottom, and held the rat as Eclipse would for the children that needed help sleeping.

"I guess we can just call you..Rat for now since you didn't like these names it seems."

Eclipse whispered, and lifted a finger to rub at the rat's cheek. It then booped it nose, and scratched its chin like a dog. The rat seemed to like the attention it was receiving right now.

"Awhh..."

"Hey Sun, is Rat a girl or b-boy?"

"It-Its a mallle, Sundrop."

Eclipse was surprised Sun already knew the gender of their little friend, and it was about to ask before Sun was already answering its impending question.

"Male r-rats are more affff-ffectioNATE and c-cudDLY. ALso, look REALLY c-closely."

Eclipse could figure out what Sun meant, and lifted up their little friend to check underneath it. They hummed, and placed the rat back on their chest. The rat simply chirped at them, and made himself comfortable on the animatronic's broken chest.

"Well...that is one q-question solved. Now, when to get out of h-here without getting cauGHt..."

"We c-could TRY GOIng during d-DAyliight. It loOOked like the h-hUMANs were pa-partying a-a-all night, bEF0RE W-We inter-interrupted it. They w-will mosT LIKEly b-be sleeping dur-during DayTIMe."

"Hmm...you're right. I always k-knew you were smart, my S-Sundrop."

"...Be-BE QUiet!"

Eclipse couldn't help but let out a rumbling hum of amusement, which made Rat make a small huffing noise when the rumbling stopped. It was soothing in a way, and Sun always wanted to experience that pleasure since the kids always told them about it. Sun was almost jealous of their little friend getting that pleasure before it did, even if it only for a moment. Curse our creator for the same body, it thought.

"Okay, since it-its going to be a long time be-before daytime we should r-r-ressst."

"Yes, weee s-sshoOULD. S-Sweet dreAMSs, Ecl-Eclipse."

Eclipse hummed, and made itself comfortable against the moldy wall behind it as much as possible. Then, it replied with a remark that Sun is familiar with by now. But, it always gets its gears whirring no matter how many times they have heard it before.

"On-Only if you're in t-them, Sunflower."

*Morning, Friday*

"Ugh, DJ, can you take over? I need a break."

Moon rolled forward, getting out underneath the car he was working on with the help of the wheeled creeper. DJ was at the workbench, organizing the tools like usual when he has nothing else to do.

"Sure Moon, I'll be right there. Just have to find where you put the damn breaker bar!"

DJ whispered screamed as he tossed his crepe colored hair to the side. He had his gloves on, which were dirty, so he didn't want to tie his 'perfectly, healthy, shiny petals.' The guy is really passionate about his hair, and Moon doesn't blame him. Hes been friends with him since middle school, so he should know by now not to question it. Moon stood up, and walked towards DJ to tap on his shoulder.

"Do you want me to tie up your hair?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, thanks buddy."

Moon grabbed one of the many hair ties he had on his wrists, and began to gather DJ's hair once he had taken off his gloves. As Moon finished putting DJ's hair into a man-bun; DJ yelled.

"Yes! I finally finished...perfect! it's so...beautiful."

Moon looked over his shoulder, and let out a huff. He rolled his eyes playfully as he noticed the prideful expression of DJ's face, and gently punched him on the back. DJ pouted, and was about to say something before closing his mouth. Moon walked towards the door beside the work bench, and knocked on it before opening the door. He glanced back at DJ to give him a wink.

"Get to work, Milton."

He then shut the door. He was then met with a familiar friend, father figure. DJ's old man, was sitting on a metal chair with his feet on the table with a straw in his mouth. Why? Not even DJ knows, like father like son. The man saw Moon, and his mood seemingly brightened.

"Oh hey champ, is it already break time? I should go soon."

"Hey Clef, and yeah it is about that time. But, I think DJ can handle your shift. Or I can as well. You should rest as much as you can, old fart."

Moon let out a small 'hehe' at his own remark. and Clef simply laughed softly before sighing.

"I guess you are right. I'm getting old, and you're getting older too. You won't catch up to me any time soon though, that's for sure!"

Clef grunted with a hint of frolic in his tone while he scratched at his diamond shaped beard. Moon almost thought he was talking to Santa instead of DJ's father. Moon smiled, then unfolded a metal chair and placed it beside Clef to sit beside him. Moon leaned back in his chair, and now it was his turn to sigh about something. Clef noticed too, and decided to ask him about it.

"Now, what's gettin' you all huffy?"

Moon shrugged, and stretched on his chair then patted down his brown work overalls. Not even he knows himself, he has been feeling weird recently. Like, a chain of events are about to intrude into his simpleton life, for the worse, or better. While he continued to think, he zoned out and didn't notice Clef calling his name.

"Boy, are you listening? I should be the one losing my hearing, not the other way around!"

"Huh? Oh sorry, I just...have been more paranoid than usual."

Clef almost immediately shot up and gave Moon a stern but worried look, his expression telling Moon one thing and before he could say anything Clef stood up.

"After the shift, you're coming to my son's house. And don't even try to sneak out during your next break, understood?"

The old man gruffed, and Moon decided to not fight back. When Clef is set on something, he won't let go of it. And with Moon, it is understandable. Clef then left the room, to go back to the garage that resided on the other side. He is probably telling DJ now, huh? He thought to himself, before nervously chuckling. Once DJ hears, he'll most likely watch him like a hawk once he leaves this room as well. Moon really appreciates the concern, but he can manage for himself now. He's a young adult now; nineteen years old now!

"I mean...I haven't had any paranoid induced episodes in ages, so what's the big deal?"

He groaned out loud to himself, and slapped a hand over his eyes. It was dark now, just how he liked it. Until, it was rudely interrupted by the door slamming open. He jolted, removed his hand, and saw a rather mad but worried DJ. He stormed over, pulled the chair Clef was sitting on before, and sat in front of Moon.

"Is it nightmares again?"

Moon was visibly shocked that DJ figured it out so quickly; but he should have known his best friend would find out. He can't hide anything from him. A couple of nightmares were also a reason for his recent paranoia, along that strange feeling about a chain of events.

"Uh, yeah. Only some, no biggie. I'm fine."

"Moon, your fingers are twitching."

On instinct, he made his hands into fists once he realized that DJ was right. He stared at DJ for a moment, then let out a bigger sigh than before.

"Yeah, I'm not doing so great right now. But, I feel like this fragile thing that constantly needs attending too...you guys don't have to keep babying me, you know?"

DJ nodded, and leaned back on his chair and extended his arms to sway his hand around Moon's form.

"Well...you have been like this for a few days already. I was waiting until you told me, but you never did... so I can't help but 'baby' you like you call it. How long have you been having nightmares again?"

Moon rolled his eyes, and crossed his arms across his chest to try to be a little more on guard. He hated how easily DJ could get under his skin, and not in a good way! He thinks, sometimes it's a good thing since he didn't have to explain during does times.

"Hey, it's okay to tell me about them. Or not, that's fine too. I just want to help in any way you let me. If us 'babying' you is upsetting you so much, then we'll stop."

"Okay, then I'm not going to your house today."

DJ paused for a second, then re-adjusted the placement of his sunglasses on his nose before speaking again. Moon held in a smirk, knowing he had won this round this time made him happy.

"...Fine. Just...Call me when you need me, okay?"

"Sure will!"

Moon grabbed DJ's hand and shook with a knowing smile on his face. He then grabbed the beanie he had left on the table before his shift and put it on. He opened the door, winked at his friend.

"I'll be getting to work, Milton."

He then shut the door, and DJ couldn't help but let out a defeated groan.

~~~~~~~~~~
After the shift, which ended in the afternoon, he switched out of his work clothes to his more casual ones. Casual, as in only taking off his 'work' overalls to his regular overalls. These overalls were a dark navy, with a baby blue-colored patch in the center. He had a white t-shirt that had short sleeves, and a simple brick-colored beanie. He grabbed his satchel that was in his locker which contained; sunglasses that DJ gave him, a pen that is short on ink, a handkerchief with a petal design, and finally his phone. He heard footsteps at the door, and assumed it was DJ waiting for him to come out of the break room.
"DJ, I know you are there. Just come in."
The door opened, and it was DJ like he expected. With a worried and worn out face; like he also expected.
“What is it DJ?”
”…Are you sure you don’t want to come?”
He asked, fiddling with his fingers as he leaned forward more. With a hopeful look in his eyes, which almost made Moon reconsider.
“Yes, I’m sure. I told you I would shoot you a text if I need any…assistance when I leave. Remember?”
Dj pouted, and then sighed. He then stepped out of the doorway for Moon to pass.
”Okay, just…making sure. You can go now. See ya, Moon.”
”Mhm, bye-bye.”
Moon walked past Dj, making his way out the garage. He gave one last bye to Clef, who was outside talking to someone in the phone, before continuing to walk down the sidewalk.
His destination now was the shopping district, ‘Unlimited Diamond.’ The district has countless of stores; from normal clothing shops to ash jewelry stores. Recently, there was a pop up store in the district that showcased monster-horror like arts. Moon was interested, so he had decided to look at it today. He just hopes it’s not too full.
The Unlimited Diamond district wasn’t far. It was only a block away from his work place, no biggie. And so is his apartment. He was looking for it, and he had finally found it. He had just placed his hand on the handle when he heard a woman scream behind him.
He turned, and the other people around him also did just to panic and begin to run. Moon, however, didn’t. He was stunned, completely still. He stared at the thing that made the previous woman scream. It was a moving amalgamation, and he quickly recognized this broken being. He then grinned, and cursed at himself. Is this the ‘a chain of events are about to intrude into my simpleton life’ that I had been feeling this whole time? Color me surprised.
The being looked like it was looking around, and it seemed to freeze when it spotted Moon. It’s eyes widened every so slightly, and it walked up to Moon. They just stared at each other, and before he knew it Moon was no longer touching the ground. He was being lifted up by the animatronic.
”Oh-O-OH, HO! W-WHy, heLLO DEWDROP—!”
It let out a disoriented grunt when Moon hit it in the face on instinct. And usually, it wouldn’t have fallen back so easily. But, it was practically broken beyond repair just by looking at it. It stumbled backwards, and Moon fell with it and landed on top of it. It had been knocked out.
“Shit…sorry. You startled me, big guy.”
He muttered, and he simply stared at the animatronic now. His crown of rays were damaged and chipped, his night cap was ripped at the end which was covered in dark mini suns. He was missing half of his faceplate, chest, and on some places on his body his casing. He also had a missing limb, where his jester pants were shredded. He recognized the pattern on the pants, which confirmed his original thought to be true. Scarlet red fading into a vibrant orange, with the red having yellow stripes and the other color having black. It really was the Daycare attendant he knew and loved.
He looked around, and huffed with amusement. The always busy and crowded shopping district was now empty. He tried to get up, only for what felt like a hand to land on his back to bring him back. It then moved to the back of his head, and the other hand went to rest on his back. Like he was a child! The animatronic seemed to be slightly awake, since the animatronic raised its head slowly to whisper.
“…Dewdrop…”
Was the last thing it said before its eyes seemed to dim, and its head landed in the ground once more with a clank. The hands stayed on him however, like it was locked into that position. He knew that raspy voice, and it sounded clearer too. He didn’t know what to do now, and he had just now realized the similar alarms of police cars coming his way. He panicked, and he tried to get out of his place on the animatronic, and he did managed to slip his way out the hands. But he wasn’t quick with getting off of it though.
The police cars came to a screeching stop, which made him grimace.
“Stop! Police!”
A officer said, drawing out their gun. Moon scoffed, and slowly moved to the ground in his knees. With his arms up, and he stared down. He really didn’t want to deal with twelve right now.
~~~~~~~~~~

”For the last time, no, I’m not with him. And no, he is not a thing! His name is Sun, or Eclipse.”

Moon groaned out, leaning against the police cars coming as he was being questioned by a ginger. No offense, but he rather be talking to a fish than a sentient cheese ball.

“You say that, but you know the thing’s name and what it is? That leads me to believe you were involved in some way.”

He said, and continued to write in his notepad. Aw, shit. As much as he loved the attendants, that’s is in the past now! And it’s not like he can fix them, he doesn’t know anything about animatronics. Even if he did, he doesn’t have the budget to do that. He just wants to live his life now, away from things in the past that could raise problems in the future. No offense to Sun and Eclipse.

“Uuhh, so?”

”Sir, please turn around.”

Moon slouched, and rolled his eyes as he turned his back towards the officer with his hands behind his back. He looked back at where the police were investigating the attendant, talking amongst each other as it laid there powered off. He then stared up at the sky, and noticed it was already dusk. Great.

Well, his whole week has been turned upside down.

Wonder how his mom will take this at the station, like all those other this times.
