Work Text:
Cabin 15 was a cabin for the children of sleep, the soft snoring of some campers, and the dripping of water from the River Lethe was probably all you could hear from outside. The calm atmosphere in the cabin was apparently a very good date idea for the insomniac son of hypnos, Zion. He couldn't drift to sleep, unlike his siblings who were out within minutes. He earned a name for it, they called him an insomniac for it. Just as Zion was staring to stare at the ceiling, contemplating his life, a knock on the window closest caught his attention.
Zion sat up on his bed, his eyes darting back and forth from his siblings to the window. He got off his bed, rubbing one of his eyes as he walked over to it. He opened it and low and behold, his beloved son of Iris, Lex Salotto. He was standing outside, trying not to get caught by a patrolling harpy.
"Hey, babe..."
He smiled awkwardly, his eyes somewhat shimmered in the moonlight that peaked through the clouds. Zion stared at him for a few seconds, just admiring his entire being. He eventually held a hand out for Lex to grab so he could pull him in. Lex took Zions hand and closed the window carefully as not to wake up the sleeping campers. Lex was looking around at the relaxing and very much asleep cabin, he got caught off guard by Zion hugging him tightly with him burying his face into Lex's neck.
"You look cute tonight"
Zion mumbled into his neck, nuzzling into it. He had his arms wrapped around Lex's waist while Lex loosens a bit. Lex had hugged Zion back, his arms wrapping around the son of Hypnos. They stood there for a few minutes just embracing each other, Zion then remembered something he was supposed to give Lex. He let go of Lex and whispered.
"Hey, I have something to give you"
He slowly dragged Lex to his bed, making him sit down on the soft bed. Going to get down to check under his bed for a small box with Lex sitting on the bed. Zion looked around for a bit before finding what he was looking for, he sat on the floor, opening the box of important things he owned. It was full of pictures of him and Lex his mom had taken when they were younger, some jewelry, and a pair of matching bracelets that Zion made during arts and crafts as an anniversary gift.
"Are those bracelets?"
Lex asked with a smile on his face, looking at Zion. He just nodded his head and handed over a blue and purple bracelet while he took the rainbow one. Zion closed the box and pushed it back under his bed before tackling Lex onto the bed. He buried his face into Lex's neck like a cat.
"Happy 2 years, my love."
He murmured. To which Lex didn't reply to at first, but eventually broke into a stifled laugh. Lex placed a hand on his mouth as he tried and failed to suppress his laughter, not like he hated the gift, it just made him giggle like a highschool girl with a crush.
"Maganda naman yung regalo mo, mahal, kaso natatawa ako dahil parang elementary naman tayo. Pero proud parin ako." ("The gift is wonderful, love, it's just it makes me laugh because we're in elementary. I'm still proud though")
Lex chuckled, his voice sounding like music to Zions ears. Gods, he was such a simp for this man. He could stare at him for days, years even. Lex was just so gorgeous in his perspective that it genuinely made him wonder on some days as to how he pulled such a fine man.
"Di ako nakakaniwala na ang tagal na nating magkasama." ("I can't believe we've been together for this long")
Zion confessed, he was completely baffled at the fact someone could keep up with him especially since he would be passed out after a few sleep deprived days. He wrapped his arms around Lex's waist, squeezing slightly.
"Okay lang yan, mahal kita kahit anong mangyari." ("That's okay, I'll love you no matter what happens")
Lex murmured, he was slowly falling asleep. The cabin worked wonders on those sleep deprived. Zion chuckled at his boyfriend who was slowly slipping into an unconscious state, letting go of his gently and letting Lex actually lay down on his bed properly. Once Lex was laying down properly, Zion followed, hugging him as if he was gonna disappear out of nowhere. Lex was barely conscious but he could respond somewhat.
"Goodnight, love"
Zion kissed his forehead, wrapping his arms around Lex's waist again and both drifted to sleep. Both boys cuddled to sleep with peace, a small break from being demigods and just being teens.
