Chapter Text

Jerry groaned as he slowly came to. He lifted his head weakly, blinking away the blurriness from his vision. His eyes squinted, trying to adjust to the darkness of the room he was in. He tried to stand up; it was then he noticed—finally—that he could not in fact move. His eyes widened slightly at this newfound realization, and he jerked against what he could only guess was... wires? What the hell was going on! He was bound to a brown leather chair—and another revelation—in nothing but his boxers and a tank top!? It was at this point he tried to rack his brain for any explanation as to how he ended up in this situation. Then it slowly came back to him... Mable. Where was that damn kid! He was owed an explanation as to why the hell the whole damn animal kingdom was after his backside! And not to mention why Mable had been a literal beaver and with some machine turned human again!! He had so—SO—many questions and absolutely ZERO answers. For a second he was so pissed he'd completely forgotten he was still tied to a chair. He had to worry about one thing at a time, keep his composure. He was the mayor after all.

Jerry took a deep breath to calm his nerves. Then, he tested his bonds again. Straining against the wires Jerry let out a few grunts of effort. To his dismay there was no give, the wires only squeaked as their rubber covering rubbed together with each bit of movement. "AGHHH!" He let out a groan of frustration and slumped back against the chair. This was supposed to be HIS big day and here HE was trapped in some dark dingy place barely clothed. Then a sound, movement. Jerry froze, all his anger immediately turning to fear. He was a coward; he wasn't ashamed to admit that. The sound of machinery from behind a white pulled curtain, his eyes snapped to the outline of something that was just on the other side. Metal creaked, whatever it was, wasn't human despite its human-like silhouette. Jerry swallowed hard, a small whimper rose up and escaped his throat. Big mistake. The silhouette turned its head, in his direction. Jerry couldn't suppress the small, distressed yelp that escaped him next. He heard it drag its feet as if it were learning to walk for the first time. Then he heard a laugh, high pitched and raspy.

"Bet you're reaaaaal confused right now, huh? Jerry." The voice said, seeming to be enjoying this all a bit too much. "Yeah, I know your name. I know a lot about you. You could even say...I am you." That laugh again, but this time it was slightly lower as if whoever this person—or thing—was had just gone through puberty quite literally mid-sentence.
