Shared Room

Summary:

He just arrived at Goldsmiths.

Graham absolutely hated sharing a room with anyone. Yet, annoyingly, the administration had stuck him in shared room with someone else, even though he’d asked a room of his own.

And Damon, completely unaware of any of it, would have to deal with Graham's behavior.

Notes:

This is my first fanfic ever on Ao3 (i'm a new user). I was a Wattpad author in 2023, and I just remember that I could write, so I decided to write a fanfic again.
It makes me nervous.
English isn't my first language so please be nice and cmiiw <3

And I know this is so cliche but it's my fav trope.
Please enjoy what i served.

Chapter 1: Unbelievable

Chapter Text

CHAPTER ONE
SHARED ROOM

Graham had just finished hauling his suitcases into room 14A. He was finally at his dream university:

Goldsmiths. Studying Fine Art.

When he arrived, he was greeted by a note stuck to the door: SHARED – G. Coxon & D. Albarn.

His brows furrowed. He could feel his blood starting to boil. The irritation was written all over his face and would probably stay there for the next six hours.

The first thing he did was head straight to administration. Graham was absolutely certain he’d booked a single room for himself. All they did was apologise for the mistake, without making any real effort to move him elsewhere.

Honestly, he hated sharing a room with anyone. He never let anyone into his personal space.

All he could do was grumble, muttering curses under his breath as he unpacked his things.

And there were a lot of things. Especially for a Fine Art student. He pulled out his electric guitar, along with a mess of tangled cables and his amp. Canvases and an easel. Brushes, pencils, and a large sketchbook.

He claimed the left side of the room, as seen from the door.

The room was fairly spacious, big enough for two people, apparently. A window sat in the middle. Single beds on each side, and both were given a desk wide enough to hold stacks of paper and sketchbooks.

Once he finished unpacking, he dropped himself onto the bed.

Graham huffed. Whoever it was, they’d better not be annoying. He wasn’t the type to tolerate noise, he needed quiet, focus, space to think, to find inspiration, to work.

He glanced at the name that had been on the door earlier. He’d already taken the paper down.

“Who the fuck is D. Albarn?” he muttered under his breath.

He was just about to fall asleep when a loud knock on the door jolted him awake instantly, forcing him to sit up.

“Tsk.” He shot an irritated glare towards the door.

Bloody hell. That D. Albarn must’ve arrived.
