Work Text:
You stare up into the sky, seeing the stars above you. The ground falls beneath you as the sky swallows you whole. Breathing stops, and yet you live. You reach up into the pool of stars, reaching nothing but more void. A hand intertwines with yours. A person of void holds your hand, looking into your eyes with two pinpricks of stars. The void holds you close as the person grabs your other hand. The void's eyes are a beautiful purple, contrasted wonderfully against it's dark skin. The void smiles at you as it's long ponytail of dark hair circles you, dotted with grey. Bandages cover the void, a bright spot against empty blank. The void kisses your forehead, before pushing you away.
The void is replaced by pure light. The light surrounds you, holding you softly smiling from all around you. The light's sky blue hair is streaked with black as her bright eyes see you fully. Gentle laughing and humming fill your ears. You are seen, and then lied to. You fall back to the ground.
Breath fills your lungs, and you are in the sky. The lightning catches you, whispering knowledge to you. History scrolls past you, their tan hair highlighted with white. As you fall, the ocean encroaches.
Water surrounds you, and lungs become gills. The water flows around you, a cold that permeates you. The green eyes drag you to shore, showing you decay of all kinds.
Warmth envelopes you, shocking your system. Fire gleams around you, laughing and dancing. It burns, but the pain melts as the wounds do.
You fall into a confusing pit of swirling contradictions. The void, light, lightning, cold ocean, and burning fire show you all that is. The true, the changing, the untrue, the healing and damaging, and the ends and beginnings. Your eyes are opened to all that is and all that isn't. You continue to fall, but gravity means nothing anymore.
You open your eyes, and there is ground beneath you. Everything bleeds from you, and you are staring up into the stars again. You move along, never knowing how you've changed and stayed exactly the same.
